great accommodations, big-screen tv, comfy bed, great sitting area and simple wifi service! the pool was a little shabby considering how nice everything else was, but i still swam in it and was satisfied.

the morning breakfast was good and the staff was very helpful!

This hotel is absolutely amazing!  They recently renovated that place into a modern, artsy, contemporary style that just works!

Our favorite part was the hotel room.  Each room contains a 42 inch flat screen TV mounted on the wall.  The room is decorated in such a way that feels more like an apartment, than a hotel.  We just relaxed on the huge couch with a glass of wine, enjoying putting our feet up on a very comfortable ottoman that comes standard with each room.

Additional attributes about the room and hotel:
super comfortable bed
enough sitting room to accommodate at least six guests
outdoor pool

I promise, if you stay here, you won't be disappointed!

Stayed here for 6 weeks due to work. The staff is AWESOME. The hotel, not so much. Almost every other night the fire alarm would go off many times. It's really fun going to work when you have 3 hours of sleep almost every night. The breakfast served has a good mix. Could be better but it is above most. The people working there really are some of the best that I have seen at any Hotel and I usually stay at 4 or 5 star Hotels. I would have given them 4 stars but if you can't fix a fire alarm from going off and it does it every other night you are lucky not to get 1 star. Almost forgot that if you want to watch the TV you better like news or sports because they only get about 14 stations and most are news or sports news stations. The ones that aren't, aren't worth watching. The rooms are nice.

The entrance is very inviting and modern, which I found surprising for the price. We stayed the weekend of 9-11 for a charity event and needed a place to sleep so here goes:

The first thing I noticed was the smell of the room. I am very sensitive to mildew like smells and this room had it. Wasn't smoky or anything...just had that "old" smell. So much so that my nose began getting stuffy. Something just wasn't right. The room was beautifully decorated, and i liked that it had a divider that separated the sleeping area from the living area. Everything was clean, sheets were scratchy (cant complain for the price though) and they had extra blankets and pillows on hand just in case. Bathrooms were clean; could be a little more thorough because I noticed some splash marks of some kind on the bathroom wall.

Everything else was quiet peaceful and there is even a target within walking distance. Across the street is a dry cleaner and several places to eat. The mall is also about 3 miles away, if even that. Seems to be in a decent area of fort worth. I didn't notice anything that would keep me away from this place again. I just know to bring my air spray next time.

Great rooms, huge 40" Plasma TV' in every room, but no washer/dryer! The continental breakfast here is pretty good, but sometimes they take the bagels off the buffet... The rooms are roomy and clean with comfortable bed, and a big family style L shaped couch.

I have met the sales women here and she is dedicated to customer satisfaction, however, my company has been telling her for years the place needs washer/dryers on site.

I have mixed feelings about this hyatt place... I am a fan of the hp in general, but this is not my fave. Its not in the most "view" tiful area, as the name would imply. And it was super full when went so there were some key hiccups...... BUT the manager was so nice and helped up reprogram the lock right outside the door to the room. Breakfast was good, thank you for fresh fruit!

nice place, GREAT staff.  don't get the neg reviews, maybe hyatt listened and made changes.  only thing keeping it from five stars is the loud window AC unit.  bed was VERY confortable.  will return.

Had a great stay here. Not much to say (and nothing to complain about, which - in many ways - can be the mark of a great hotel.)

Clean, FANTASTIC free breakfast, near lots of options for exploring Forth Worth, and reasonably priced.

Would certainly make this my choice again if I'm ever in the area.

Very nice for the price. Stayed here and really liked it. Big rooms, firm bed, HDTV (though HD channels were really lacking), free WiFi.

The continental breakfast is very nice and worth foregoing something in town since its free. Lots of fruit, beverages, biscuits and gravy one morning, and they have some delicious little donuts but you have to get there kinda early to get the glazed donuts. Trust me on that one, the powdered donuts suck.

3.7 stars. Great value, would definitely stay here again.

Overall I like the Hyatt Place line.  The decor is modern and stylish. The staff was reasonably friendly and helpful.

Continental breakfast is included and you can purchase additional hot plates if you like.  Coffee was good but I was bummed to find out there was no half and half available.  They did provide a good selection of fruit though.

The room is spacious and well appointed. Like one other Yelper though we noticed the musty smell which was off-putting.  It seemed like running the AC/heater unit in the window actually made it worse so it could be that they need maintenance.  We mentioned it at check-out so hopefully the staff will look into the problem.

The hotel is conveniently located next to the freeway and has plentiful parking (no surprise in TX).  If I were in the area again I'd happily stay here again.

Room smelled old and musty.  Yellow color scheme reminded me of Mad Men - dated.  Staff friendly and helpful.  Complimentary buffet was good but no scrambled eggs.  I asked to try another room but it smelled the same.  I won't stay there again.

Fort Worth Hotel Interior Designer Found Guilty of Killing Romance.

I am a firm believer that the architects and designers of living spaces should be sentenced to at least a year in their own creations; it would make life a lot more livable for the rest of us.

Just looking at this room, in the model or architectural rendering forms, maybe even walking through it when completed, it would seem OK, but within the first hour of occupancy its faults started showing up in a big way.

First and most important, this is Texas and an AC that may well work anywhere else, needs to be bigger here, as even after 16 hours the temperature was barely livable and the gradient from one end of the room to the other was at least 10 degrees, making all the bed clothes superfluous.

Second, the washbasin and huge mirror were almost opposite the bed and not tucked away in the bathroom, so not only was the person in the bed disturbed by necessary ablutions, but they had the bounce effect of a million candle power light in the huge mirror over the sink that was just sufficiently misaligned to be useless for anything else.
Thirdly, the little sitting area had a lighting problem to, in that the separator from the bed was not big enough and there was not a small lamp on a side table, but again a searchlight bright florescent wall sconce that lit the entire room like an emergency room. The little desk and wet bar were of course visible from the bed with their own mirror and floodlight.

Fourthly, why put bedside lights, again bright enough to degrade the picture on the huge flat screen TV, just far enough away on the wall to make you have to get out of bed to reach the switch? Please, I really want an answer to this one.

   Other than that there were just the irritating little design flaws, like putting the toilet roll dispenser on a wall so thin and tight it acted like a drum head;

On the up side, and there was one, it had two ironing boards. Seriously, its fixtures were quite impressive, like a patch board for electronic devices built into the wall behind the desk, so you could logon, jack in, power up, input, out put and generally enjoy any device you had the correct cabling for. For a change the blackout curtains almost worked, just leaving a little bright stripe at the bottom.

I think the other reviewers have coped with the pool, breakfast etc. except mentioning that they threaten 24 hour food and have a strange non-bar in the lobby where you might be able to get a beer and sit and drink it, but there are enough places within walking distance that it was not worth my trying to fathom the method.

Was a little apprehensive, due to the "place" designation.  I have stayed at every other type of Hyatt, however never this type.
The lobby was quaint, and that's just the way it needs to be.
The breakfast was better than they advertised it.
The room was the perfect size, with a nice pull out sleeper for my son.  It was a little divided.  just enough to keep some privacy.
Great place to stay, def. recommend.

You know you are in good hands when you have nothing to gripe about. And that's the best review a hotel can get.

Decent hotel, but HORRIBLE pillows.  Trot on over to Target and buy yourself a decent one - it'll be worth the 8-12 bucks.

Breakfast was tasty!  And so was the coffee!  Roomy rooms!

Incredibly impressed with this hotel. I lived about three blocks south of this location while I attended TCU, but never knew this little gem was tucked away just down the street.

I stayed here overnight to prep for my bridal portraits this past week, so it was a short trip. However, it is a clean, friendly and well-appointed location with an amazing free breakfast. It's a hotel I'd stay at again and one I highly recommend to anyone traveling to the south Fort Worth area!

This is an easy 5 star review for me. I booked here because they have free wi-fi in the room. It actually works and there is no problem getting connected. Are hotels finally getting "it" about wi-fi?

The location is fabulous. It's near a lot of restaurants and other interesting spots. The room price was very reasonable and you get a fabulous room for the money. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The couch was super huge and comfortable. My son didn't even have to pull out the sleeper sofa. The shower was perfect. My only small complaint is that the soap seems really greasy and you have to take forever to rinse off the soap. They also have an exercise room and a heated pool.

Their free breakfast is outstanding with a lot of choices. My favorite was the biscuit sandwich with the egg and bacon. So good!

Let's talk about the staff. Courteous and on the ball. Any question that I had they answered. Need a shuttle to the airport just call 1-800-bluevan. There was one mix up where I had a couple of guys create a reservation for me to stay an extra day. All of us blew this one since I didn't read my email that they booked me for Friday night instead of Thursday night. Fortunately I double checked with the desk  before my extra night and the young lady at the desk made everything better and changed my reservation.

I will be traveling to FT WORTH more often in the future and will use Hyatt Place exclusively.
