I loved the hotel and the staff was GREAT!!! We got married there this weekend. August 7th 2010. It was HOT but the reception room was cooled down well enough for when we came in to eat! The food was GREAT and the drinks were too! The street and hallway noise was a little rough which is why i gave 4 stars!! I will be using a diff side of the hotel for later uses!!! It was loud loud loud!!! Wish I could've slept longer.

Old school kind of place. Big, but awkwardly shaped rooms. Not great in terms of parking -- the Hyatt Place is better with its own lot. Still, an interesting experience. Heard rumors that it's haunted.

Extremely hospitable staff and a great location. Easy walk to good food and boss bars. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

This was our first time to Fort Worth and we really enjoyed the area. If we stay in Fort Worth again, we're certainly staying here again.

Had a great meal at the hotel H3 steakhouse. Flaming tenderloin and the steak with the mop sauce were perfect.

First of all, the staff is unfailingly nice, the rooms were comfortable and the hotel itself is very pretty. BUT, it is LOUD if you get a room facing the street. I don't mean a little loud, with a few bumps or some background noise. I mean people screaming, laughing, at least 2 live bands, motorcycles revving constantly--noise so loud it drowns out the TV in your room. I read the reviews and saw other people complain about the noise. PLEASE BELIEVE THE REVIEWS! Saturday night was the worst and then Sunday--beautiful silence. I guess everyone was still hungover from Saturday. Unfortunately, the AC was out that night so my room was a toasty 80 degrees. Monday was not as loud as Saturday but the live bands were back. (The hotel was full and I was there with others or I would have stayed in a different place.)
The only other downside was that the rooms were dark. Even with every light on, it was dim at best. The bathroom is especially dark. Luckily I was there alone so I could leave the door open and get some of the light from the dressing area.

If you're a partier and you're going to be out late anyway, you shouldn't have a problem. It would be a blast to stay here and just walk around the Stockyards area. Billy Bob's is close and so are a lot of great restaurants and shops. I'd certainly go back and just make sure I got a room in the back (although someone in my party did have a nice quiet room--with a view of the AC unit!)

Pay for the valet parking (just factor the $15 in to the room charge). The Stockyards area was crazy crowded on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't worth trying to find parking and then schlepping our bags through the crowds.

Overall I'm kind of ambivalent. The staff was great and the room was comfy and it's in a great location. Just wish there was more light and it was a lot quieter.

We chose this hotel because it was old and we wanted a hotel with that old west charm.   There is nothing charming about this hotel.  Upon arriving we were looking for the parking lot and could not find it so we call ed the front desk and were Told that they only had valet parking and it costs 15.00 a day!  We got to our room... We were shocked!  The room was in the shape of a triangle, had six windows three overlooked a wall of air conditioners the other three had a view of a fire escape and a roof.  The rooms had no refers. No coffee makers. The bathroom was SO dark a candle would have had more light!  We love old hotels but this place needs some serious help.  We were going to stay four nights but left the next day... At and additional charge of 50.00 for and early departure.  We went to the Hyatt and had a wonderful rest of our vacation.

This is a great Historic hotel right in the heart of the stockyards.  The "Celebrity Room" is an amazing place to stay in.  It has two bathrooms, a parlor, and a private patio with the required hot tub as well.  The staff was extremely friendly and polite.  They were able to meet our every need.  There is no real parking lot for the hotel though.  Valet is offered at $15/day, there is free parking lots and on the street, and there are some pay lots for $5/day.  That's the only downside of the hotel, but to be honest, if you're staying here its just worth it to pay the valet expense.  Plenty of history surrounding the hotel that fascinated me.  Bonnie & Clyde stayed here amongst others.   Also, the lobby is attached to (personal opinion interjected right......now) one of the best and probably top ten of my restaurants the H3 Ranch.

First! You gott'a remember how old this hotel is.......that said; friendly staff at front desk.  Upon arrival it is a fight to get bell service and parking place on street.  Ended up handling bags myself car to lobby and lobby to room (checking out, too).  Valet parking area is a good ways away so plan on a wait to get vehicle.

We stayed in Bonnie & Clyde suite......on 3rd floor corner of Main and Exchange; right over party district.  Just saying!  If you are looking for good nights sleep on Friday or Saturday night bring ear plugs, good drugs and eye cover!  Or get another room on backside of hotel.

If you are early riser forget any coffee service or room service.  Restaurant only open for breakfast on weekends; and does not open till 9 a.m.!  First morning I came down looking for coffee; front desk rang restaurant to refill self service, no answer.  So I was told "just go through double doors toward kitchen someone will be there..."  REALLY!

Place is clean; to include room.  However, it was old time period tub/shower with 3 or 4 nobs just to get shower to work.....my wife gave up and just took a tub bath, each night.

In the end I wish I had known there was a Hyatt Place 2 blocks away......newer, less street noise and same price points.....

Bonnie at the front desk is the best! I found myself stranded in the Stockyards area and she helped me figure out what to do even though I wasn't a guest at Stockyards Hotel - she made me feel like a guest anyway.  Basically what happened is the Uber-like cab driver that the hotel I was actually staying at near DFW recommended, hiked up the fare to an outrageous amount that I am too embarrassed to post when he dropped me off and I was just too shocked to defend my wallet. Let's just say it was three times what I was expecting and although the Stockyards are definitely a point of interest I decided it just wasn't worth paying anywhere close to that again and I didn't know my options on how to return so I felt overwhelmed and stranded. I know, I know - dumb traveler mistake to not ask the price up front. Lesson learned. So let's get back to how awesome Stockyards Hotel is. Bonnie came up with some transportation ideas and said not to worry, she would look up some information and I could come back after the rodeo. So I was free to enjoy the show with peace of mind that things would work out. I returned to Stockyards Hotel and Bonnie found me a great option on the Super Shuttle, let me use the phone and provided me with pen and paper for my reservation, the address to the hotel, etc. She thought of everything!  Then when I got off the phone she offered for me to wait safely inside the hotel lobby, pointed out the restroom and set me up in a nice comfy chair with some tea. I have heard about legendary hospitality in this area but I was so pleased with the kindness and customer service I received at the Stockyards Hotel that I will definitely be coming back again - this time as a true guest at this pleasant hotel.

I didn't stay the night, but I spent several hours here with some friends who did.  Even though was I wasn't staying overnight, I was still able to valet with the hotel ($9 for non-overnight, $13 for overnight).   We about 7 girls up in the Geronimo suite for a mini bridal shower/bach party.   The room itself was a great size - two double beds, a pull out couch, and the toilet/shower was separate from the sink vanity.  We appreciated this so we could all get ready without being squeezed into a tiny bathroom!   The room could easily and comfortably sleep 6.  The hotel staff couldn't have been more helpful.  We forgot a wine opener and we were able to just take the bottles down to the bar and they opened them for us.   The bellman also offered filled our coolers with ice.  What a guy!

The hotel was lively with guests both in the restaurant and the lobby.  This place is in a great location and you can walk to everything.    I left the hotel around 10:00pm and valet was a breeze.   Great time here, and I will for sure be back to spend the night!

Loved this historic old cowboy hotel nestled in the old cowboy town of Stockyards Fort Worth. I was so annoyed that I didn't bring my entire cowgirl wardrobe, as everywhere you look there are guys decked out in full garb as are some of the ladies. The hotel is an old 3 story building with great comfortable huge beds and is kept very clean. Nicely decorated. Well worth the visit. Downstairs is the H3 Restaurant where my husband who is 57 had the best ribs of his life. Also go to the downstairs bar and sit on one if the saddle barstools! Loved it

Great location.....across the street from White Elephant Saloon. The historic hotel has a Texan theme throughout the building. The Texan Suite includes a king size bed, a separate living area, two restrooms, and masculine furniture, shutters over the windows, two televisions, and two entrances to the suite.

The first time we stayed here we had a great experience.  This time....not so much.  My nieces room had a leak in the bathroom ceiling (room 214) from the time they checked in.  They reported the problem that day.  A maint main came to fix it the next morning, but whatever he did, it did not work.  So the kids had to listen to the constant dripping all weekend.  Told they couldn't change rooms because there were only king rooms left and they needed two beds.  So by Sunday morning even the carpet was wet.  Management said they would take care of the problem and never did.  They said they wouldn't charge for the room but still did.  To add insult to injury, the girls had a $50 lottery ticket go mysteriously missing Sunday.

In my room, I forgot my flatiron, an expensive one.  When I called to ask to have it shipped to me I was told housekeeping didn't come across it.  I know for a fact it I left it in there. So someone in housekeeping is not honest.

Very disappointed in this stay considering we had such a good first experience.  After these experiences, we would not stay here again.
