Had a wonderful two day stay at this location. It is close to many eateries and shops including Ikea. The staff was friendly. Room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. We will visit again.

House keeping totally disregards the do not disturb sign. The manager made snide comments about my luggage. The waitstaff would not even bring me my food, I had to pick it up at the bar. I would rather sleep in my truck than stay at this unfriendly hotel again... Even for free.

For $43/night, this was great for the cost. They accommodated me to two queen sized beds and non-smoking when I called in to request. The workers are very nice and the pool was clean. The only issue I had was there was no microwave or mini-fridge, for a "3star" I'd expect at least these two, so any leftovers we had they went in the trash.

Was here for 3 days for training. This place has been here forever and everything is very out-dated. Other than that, it's pretty clean for an old hotel and the staff is friendly.

Overall the rooms were clean and nice, and roomy. We also hung out at the pool a little, and that was great as well. They didn't have microwaves or fridge in the room which is sooo odd to me. I have paid less and had a smaller room and they still had fridges and microwaves. I had made some snacks on the road trip and had to throw it away because there were no fridges.
Also no complimentary breakfast. Lastly, The customer service isn't all that great. When we checked in it was fine. The lady that came in later, we called her to ask her to change our shuttle time to a later time and she just had so much attitude I don't understand why. The shuttle driver was also not the best experience we had. She did not want my brother to have his coffee without the lid in her shuttle bus which I can understand, but the hotel bar did not have any lids. So she stared at my brother for a while after he explained he would not spill. Then she started speeding off, which seemed like she was purposely trying to make him spill the coffee. She had to pick up a couple of people and drop them back at the hotel which she did not advise us of this until we got to red lobster, we were in no rush but the courtesy could have been her opening her mouth and telling us this. When the new folks came into the car, my oh my, did the shuttle driver's attitude become so pleasent. We were just laughing the whole time because, why get mad about something so silly, right? After that the ride was fine, but what an interesting ride.

If there was ever a hotel that embodies hospitality, it would be the Crowne Plaza in Northwest-Brookhollow.
I am a teacher in the Lubbock area but was going to be taking a special training course that would put me in Houston for 3 weeks. Not having any friends or family in the area to stay with, I used priceline.com to find a hotel that I could stay at for cheap. I was able to stay at the Crowne Plaza for an amazing $40 per night for 18 nights. It was the best home away from home I could have asked for.
The most impressive feature of this hotel by far was the clientele. I probably spoke with every person who worked behind the front desk and they were all SUPER friendly and helpful. I have to give a shout-out to Henry, who checked me in with a warm welcome and a free membership into the Priority Club, which allowed me free breakfast every morning, and free drinks and finger foods in the evening.
Speaking of the Priority Club food--it was delightful. Every morning they had pastries, fresh fruit, good coffee, assorted yogurts, cereal, juice, milk, bagels, English muffins, and bread for toast. The finger foods in the evening were surprisingly satisfying--always one hot item like onion rings, spring rolls, chicken wraps, or meatballs, plus really good cheese and crackers, fresh fruit, and fresh vegetables with ranch dressing. And the free drinks included all kinds of beer, wine, and cocktails. (P.S. When I ran out of free drink tickets, I went to the front desk and asked for more and the lady working was happy to oblige. I was afraid I'd be overstepping but she was very kind to give me enough to last until the end of my stay!)
Another favorite feature of mine was the pet-friendly policy. Since I was going to be gone from home for 3 weeks, I needed to be able to bring my cat along, and was able to at the Crowne Plaza for a small one-time fee of $25 (which was a steal considering that wouldn't buy me 2 nights at a kennel). And since I had my cat in my room during the day while I was at class, they let me leave the do-not-disturb sign on the door during the day until I told them I was back in the evening so that they could send the maid and I could put my cat in his carrier while she made up the room. It was the perfect arrangement and accommodation for my needs.
A couple other great amenities I enjoyed at this hotel were the business center (where I was able to print things for class for free), the fitness room (which had a cold water dispenser, cups, towels, a big wall of mirrors, 3 treadmills, an elliptical machine, a stationary bike, free weights, and a couple weight machines), a nice outdoor pool and hot tub, and a small convenience item room where I bought some emergency contact solution and candy bars .
And of course my room was great--I especially loved the floor-to-ceiling wall-to-wall windows, as did my cat . I was on the 7th floor and I never heard any noise from neighbors next to, above, or below me. And the king-size bed was really comfortable.
The biggest surprise came to me on my last night in the hotel--I would be leaving the next day but the problem was that I had class until 4, and needed to leave my cat somewhere before heading out of town afterward. I asked the front desk for an extended check-out so that I could leave my cat in the room while I was in class and pick him up on my way out around 4:30. Even though their policy says otherwise, the manager gave me a break, and let me take my time and check out as soon as was convenient. This made my last few days in Houston so much easier and stress-free.
I am truly grateful for the hospitality of the Crowne Plaza in Brookhollow--it is a one-of-a-kind hotel and I hope I have a reason to return to Houston in the future so that I may stay here again!
