Pretty good for the area and value. Stay here with confidence for room quality and lobby. restaurant not bad to keep you from running around but if you have time get something else. I will stay here again; I like the friendly staff; they deserve it. Breakfast excellent.

Staff was friendly.  Hotel and construction did feel a bit outdated -- this is obviously not a "new" building.  Our room was extremely nice, however, and the parking lot is very well lit...they also have a security officer who closely watches the area at night.  I would definitely stay here again as well as feel comfortable recommending this hotel to family or friends.

Due to the type of work I do I like to think of myself as a bit of a pro when it comes to living out of hotels and have stayed in a wide variety in my time, and the can all make you feel pretty cabin feverish after a while. I've been in this hotel since I arrived in Houston, apart from a short break to do a project overseas, so that's six weeks in total and it has a lot to recommend it: free wifi; free washing machines for the times you don't want to use the hotel service; a decent gym and pool; a large bar area; free parking and a security guard that trundles round in a golf buggy to watch over your stuff and free papers, and as it's a bit of a business hotel there are normally a few people to chat to on a evening in the hotel bar. And it's within walking distance to the Town and Country area so if your evenings stress relief consists of going out and having a meal or even getting hammered in the pub you can do so safe in the knowledge that you don't have to drive.
I have no problem recommending this hotel, in fact it is used by our staff members who come here on business.

OMG!!! Went to the website and found the rate of $89 for a king. With an AARP discount it was $81. The website would not let me input my credit card info so I called. The lady was very nice and helpful, but told me that the website info was old, and the rate was $95 and $175 WITH THE AARP DISCOUNT!!!! Seriously? I will never stay at a Sheraton hotel.

The only reason i stayed here was bc Hotwire put me here.  I was trying to get a hotel north of I10, in the Energy Corridor, where there is a nicer Sheraton.  But alas, I spun the wheel, and landed here.  The hotel is right at a busy intersection, and there was a lot of highway noise in my room on the 10th floor.  The bathroom was cramped, with a strange configuration that left you smashing your bum between the door and the counter.  I would say this hotel is not your father's hotel.  It's your GRANDFATHER's hotel.  Kinda stodgy, although the front desk clerk was very nice.  The parking lot was 100% full on the side where I would've felt safe walking in by myself at night, as circumstances had me doing.  As it was, I had to park way around back, and it kinda gave me the creeps. I might stay here on business, on someone else's dime.  But I sure wouldn't pay more than the $48 Hotwire rate to stay here, and I would pick another property on the other side of the interstate.
It does have free wi-fi, which seems to be unusual in "hotels" lately, but not in motels.  What's up with that? In room coffee was very good, and the bed was super comfortable.  Staying by myself was ok, with another person I think the room would be way too small.

2 stars go to most of the staff at this hotel, otherwise DISGUSTING! Hair all over the bathroom, blood in the shower and the loudest toilette ever. I was scheduled to stay for 3 nights couldn't do it. Would NOT recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel of family in town on weekend. Felt really good with nice lobby and room was really nice and quiet. Front desk staff was so nice and friendly. They were honest about the area- If you leave valuables in your car that's not a smart move but they do seem to have the hotel security to keep the riff raff out of the place. Thanks Four Points- nice job.

When we walked into our room, we squealed with delight because the room was a suite that had a separate living space and it had a lovely view of Houston. Our rate was a steal so we felt very fortunate to get a room/suite especially OTC weekend.
After figuring out we had no refrigerator and the balcony doors didn't work-- we called front desk to address our concerns. Basically they said "some rooms have fridges and some don't" & "none of the balconies open". We then asked for an ice bucket and they said they would try to find one. Next day, we called front desk for extra coffee packets and never got them just like the ice bucket that never came either. I was so mad that they didn't even have the courtesy to call us and notify us they didn't have extras. No apologies were ever made. So now I know why the rate was low, they don't have all their ducks in a row.
What I did like about this hotel was the location [very close to CityCentre fun], the A/C worked well & parking was free.

I was to start by saying that the hotel front desk service was very friendly, one of them most friendly places I've been.  They greet you with a smile and walk from behind their desk to show you to where you need to go. You'd be surprised how many hotels these days don't show this.

With that said, the hotel itself needs improvements.  The A/C or heater was loud, the bathroom sink didn't drain well,  and shower head had one of the worst water pressure I've ever seen.

This hotel does have a lot of suites and the rooms are very spacious.  There are two TV's (though smaller).  The living room and the bedroom does not have a door separating the two.  There is a pull out bed in the living room sofa and a small sink as well.

I did not have a fridge in my room, so that was slightly inconvenient.

We stayed here for one night while driving across the country.  This hotel is terrible.  A few minutes after we checked into the room, we heard a loud noise.  We were wondering what it was, but ignored it and went downstairs for some food because it was already after 10pm.  By the time we got back to the room and ready for bed, it was after 11:30.  As we lay in bed, we started hearing the noise again.  It sounded like they were doing construction.  I called the front desk and they told me it was the plumbing because the building is old.  The person offered to move us to a different room but said that there are no guarantees that we will not hear the same noise in a different room.  We decided to wait and see, and within a few minutes, the noise came back, so we asked to be moved.  The next room was better, but I could still hear the noise some.  We don't understand how a hotel could operate under such circumstances and the front desk people are just supposed to apologize and move people around.  The clerk told us that several others had called to complain the same night.
The next morning, I called for room service and they told me they ran out of pancakes (before 9am).  I asked how that's possible, and the guy told us that actually, they did not make any that day.  Not sure how making pancakes could be such an ordeal.
The place is old and run down - working with a skeleton crew.  Not worth it!

The hotel was brought back to life five years ago when the homeless were kicked out of an abandon hotel. The people at the front desk are very nice and helpful I would give them 4 stars alone. The three stars that I have given this review are for the room alone. I like the fact that they provide free Wi-Fi. What I did not like was the noise level. My room was loud with traffic noise from the many roads and freeways nearby and the wind blew under the door making a whistling sound. The beds were comfortable enough and the room contained a flat screen TV, microwave, coffee maker, and a fridge. The location is a plus and a minus. The hotel is located in a funky area with freeways and roads surrounding 3 sides but it is walking distance from some great restaurants. I thought that the price was a little more for the experience.

The staff was rude, they messed up our reservation and gave us only one bed for three adults. We specifically booked a room with two beds! Our room reeked of smoke and the tv wasn't working. They claim it's a no smoking hotel. The prices are way too high for what you are getting, it looks like a Motel 6 with the barred off section on the outside. There were very questionable people in the parking lot. The up side was the location. City centre is lovely! Looking for a nice Starwood hotel at a good price in Houston? Check out the brookhollow Sheraton. It is a "real" Sheraton verses a Four Points and at the same price!

I only checked into this hotel for a night. At times I don't feel like staying at home so I check into a nice hotel and get away for a few hours. I decided to check out Four Points since it's not to far away from my home. The lobby area is very spacious and open. The gentleman that helped with my check-in was so professional and very helpful. When I checked into my room I wasn't crazy about the decor. I felt it could be a lot more contemporary but that's just me. The water pressure was not the best but it didn't stop me from enjoying an amazing bath. I asked for my room to face the pool area so that I wouldn't be close to the street. It was rather cold so I know I wouldn't have to worry about loud noises coming from the pool and I enjoy looking out at the water. All in all I enjoyed my night getaway and for the price I can't complain.

The worst staff I've ever met. If you want to have some headache go there. They couldn't find my reservation and they charges me twice. I will definitely send my comments and complaints to the manager.

I've stayed at this Four Points many times, and have always been happy. They are pet friendly and the location is good and close to restaurants and shopping. Staff is always friendly and really helpful.

Great location, walk up appeal (very nice), and beds were extremely comfortable; chilling A/C was a plus.

    HOWEVER!!

    1. Faucets in bathroom were a challenge to turn off completely.

    2. Carpets are dated but are clean.

    3.  Worst complaint, staff couldn't wait to close the buffet 5 minutes after I paid and sat down.  Employees, including reception, then made several plates of food, piled high for each other, while my family and I sat unable to eat breakfast.

I work in hospitality and this is usually forbidden to prevent this behavior.

I stayed here and I won't necessarily stay again. The service I received was excellent. But the room I stayed in was pretty smelly. It smelled like a hospital or something. And I don't even mind hospitals but it didn't smell good. Also, the walls were so thin. I could not only hear my neighbor's tv, but I could sing along with the josh groban song that was playing on it. At 430 am. I called the front desk and they took care of the problem. The room could have been updated a bit. But the pillows were good. I am picky about pillows and had no complaints. It was an ok experience. It just sort of seemed like I would expect more from this chain of hotels.

This really well located hotel has it all: friendly staff (the bad staff mentioned in the other comments, must have left in-between...), very nice, well-equipped  rooms, a good restaurant, and otherwise great facilities.
On the down side, as has been noted already, I think that the bathroom could be of a higher standing, and also the floor carpet's colour look really aged and would need a facelift...
Other than that, a cosy hotel where I'd gladly go back to.

Great location, quick walk to the restaurants and shopping of City Centre. Few complaints though, vending and ice machines out of order, yellow stains on the sheets, long black hairs in the bathroom (I'm a blonde so I know they weren't mine), the iron had a sticky residue on it that ruined my husbands shirt, all in all a little dirty. The breakfast wasn't bad, the pool was clean and our suite was a decent size.

This place is nicely located right off of I10. It's on the west side of Houston and near Katy. It's also located near some shops and restaurants. Katy Mills is not that far either. But we had no time for that. We had landed around 830 on Wednesday night  before Thanksgiving. We went and ate near the hotel before checking in. This place was great. We got our room. It was a King bed with a big room. The bathroom was big also. The only thing that was off was the soap in the shower. It was off a dispenser. That made the room have a not so nice feel. But other than that it was a great room. The bed was verify comfortable. We slept like a king and a queen should. We were only here for the night. We were headed to San Antonio for Thanksgiving. So for us it was perfect. Great night sleep. Super clean room and right off the Interstate. And outside of Houston so we didn't have to catch the Houston Holiday traffic. I have to say the staff was very nice and helpful. There is no charge for parking. Which I think was a plus. They have a lot of parking to the north side of the building. They also have a lot of Handicap parking all around the building. They also allow pets. I saw a golden lab being taken out for a walk. But I met them in the elevator. That pup was confused. Tis place is a great place for many reasons. I believe we will try to stay here again if we are visiting.

I stayed here for one night to attend an event at City Centre, which was just a quick walk next door. I was in a king suite which was very spacious. The living room had a TV, pullout couch, closet, mini-fridge and a small bar area with a sink. The bedroom also had it's own TV and closet and there was a door between the two rooms. There was a laptop size safe in the room. The hotel lobby was very nice and looked like it had been recently updated.

The only thing that I wasn't a fan of were the bathrooms. They had dispensers on the wall for shampoo, conditioner and soap which was neat, but the bathroom was very small and there were cracks in the tub. Hopefully the bathrooms are next on their renovation list.

I would stay here again if I was in the area and the price was right.

    Thanksgiving Trip 2014

We stayed here on our first night coming into Houston for our Thanksgiving trip. We got in pretty late and checked in to drop off our bags and went to find some dinner.

It was only a short one night stay, so this review will be short and sweet. We had a standard king room. It was cozy, but was fine. We really just needed a place to sleep. The bed and pillows were comfy. These pillows were not "OMG, I need to have these!"

The bathroom was really small, hardly any counter space for my two toiletry bags... This kinda sucked but it was only one night, I just kept everything in my bags, and took out what I needed to use and back in the bag it went. Instead of constantly leaving complimentary travel items like shampoo, conditioner and soap, the hotel had dispensers in the shower. Ok... very communal gym like feeling.

Everything including space is very economical. The space was very clean and modern.  It was nice stay.
