I always prefer staying at Hilton chains and and usually that means a Hampton Inn because they're often less expensive than the other Hilton brands. This Hampton Inn was pretty standard as far as Hampton Inns go. I did have a few complaints about this one though. First, the water in the rooms had this horrible smell to it. I couldn't tell what was causing the smell, but it was the water in the sink and the shower. This was a problem for me because I like taking hot baths in the evening to relax. I also found out they have no hot tub, so it kind of ruined my visit. The only other problem is that other than the Luby's next to the hotel, there aren't many restaurants nearby. Otherwise, the quality was high as usual for Hampton Inn hotels.

Clean, right off the highway, with easy access to Reliant Park and Hospitals.

The staff were cheerful and helpful.  The lobby and the room were very clean.

The breakfast area was spread out and had lots of seating.  The staff kept everything in order, checked to make sure we had everything, and kept up with the flow of guests in the breakfast area.  A staffer even came by to see if everything was all right.  Nice.

Nice bonus: they offer a shuttle to Reliant Park and nearby hospitals.  The shuttle leaves on the hour, and when you are ready to come back you call them.. and they come to pick you up.

It was great to be car free once we arrived in Houston.

        We would stay here again

Stayed here for 3 weeks in October and again for a week in May.  Good service and nice rooms.  Great suites!  Parking lot is a bit rough.  Don't leave anything valuable.  Saw a car on blocks with wheels missing each of 3 weeks in October.

In general, I am a fan of Hampton Inns.  The bed is comfortable, the tvs are modern, and the breakfast is satisfactory.  I just had no idea how isolated this hotel felt, even though from google earth it looks like it's in the middle of a busy professional business district.  They had signs saying to remove all items from your car because of recent breakins.  I also had the bad fortune of a cab driver taking me to the closest convenience store "Johnny Quicks", which has its own horrifying review on Yelp.  I wouldn't stay here again, but it's not because of the room, just the feeling of safety.

REALLY nice find - clean place, feels new inside w/ a friendly staff.  Parking lot wraps around the building w/ a few different entrances.  Food options are a few minutes away.  I'll be back.

This Hampton Inn has a great location and great price for the area. Very convenient (walking distance) to Reliant Park. I stayed for three nights in August 2010 and again for one night in January 2011.

The breakfast was one of the best I've had at a Hampton Inn! Amazingly fresh and more robust that many of them. The pool is outdoors, which isn't really an issue in Houston.

There were only two things that were a little odd... first, a local church used the meeting rooms for worship on Sunday while I was there. Nothing like eating cereal in your sports fan clothes while ladies in church dresses walk by!

Second, and I almost feel bad for mentioning this, but many of the guests are seeking treatment in the nearby medical facilities. It was a real juxtaposition knowing that I was there with my family for fun while other families were obviously in different stages of grief or duress. The staff was very accommodating from what I saw with shuttle rides and helping folks with limitations due to their treatment. I did my best to help with holding doors and elevators and smiling just because you want to be part of the solution. A little heart breaking, but also inspiring to see so many brave people and their loving families!

We are big fans of Hampton Inns, and this one did not disappoint.  It's a nice, clean facility located close to the major hospitals, museums and Rice University.

We stayed for three nights in a very comfortable room.  The staff were polite and responsive to our needs.  They bent over backwards to accommodate my children's guitar practices, offering the use of an empty conference room (at no extra charge) for one child while the other used our hotel room.

The breakfast spread in the mornings were fantastic.  Fresh coffees, juices, pastries, cereals, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal..  Not enough?  There's also egg, sausage/ham, biscuits and gravy.  Still hankering for something else?  Then saunter over to the do-it-yourself waffle station, make a delicious waffle in two minutes and top it up with syrup or sweetened fresh strawberries.  Yum.

So impressed by these folks. Great breakfast, great customer service. Perfect location for us. I even left my iPad in the room and didn't realize it until I got back to L.A. They quickly retrieved it and sent it back to me.

Awesome service from Asst. Manager Mayra! We will be back next year for sure!

I've spent as many as 200 nights a year in hotels, and I can say that the best budget business and family establishments that I have ever been to.

The rooms are clean/comfortable and the staff exceptional. I would like to make a special call out to thank Doug  and Gerald who made my family's stay particularly special.

Before December of next year, I had never stayed at a Hampton Inn before, usually preferring to stay at a SPG portfolio hotel. Now, I will be become a regular user!

Very friendly staff and close to the Medical Center(s). Price was a wee high (maybe due to the proximity to the Med Centers), and the lobby/hallways have that '70's green vibe (see pict). Very deceptive when you are walking towards your room because - well - you expect something worse when opening the door to your room for the first time. However, pleasant surprise, the rooms are quite nice (see pictures).
Again, the staff was EXTREMELY nice and even recommended some great local places to eat.

Stayed here during OTC 2 years in a row.
Staff is friendly and the hotel is clean. Located in a safe area and is just a short drive to numerous restaurants and main roads.

Can't really go wrong when you stay at a Hampton Inn.
