Pretty nice Hilton, the staff is friendly, and my room had a nice view of the marina from the 10th floor.  Hilton Honors (I've barely been travelling lately so I'm not even Silver) gets you free continental breakfast and you can upgrade to full buffet breakfast for $3.  The only downside is the service can be spotty at breakfast, I felt pretty neglected one morning when no servers bothered to check on me to see if I wanted anything besides water to drink.  Luckily a carafe of coffee was still on the table from the previous person so I drank that.

Ive never gotten a room here but this is the infamous Hilton where the woman ran over his dentist husband. The scene of a Lifetime original movie and like 2 weekend special editions of Primetime. The funniest thing is that the only thing people can ever remember is the occupation of the cheating husband- does that mean if i get murdered, all people will remember is a dead graphic designer??

I gave it a 3 only because it could use a little infusion of cash; i.e., room remodel. It looks like it was remodeled in maybe 2001. The BAR & restaurant looked as if it had a recent remodel. Very Nice with great views and a good feel to it. The Pool, Deck and gym all very nice. Most rooms had fantastic views and a tiny balcony. Really this would be a solid 4star but like I said some of it looks a little tired. I also think the other reviews are pretty well spot on. I'm perhaps a bit of a hotel snob. Also, in this day and age a hotel that uses Wifi as a revenue stream aggravates me. It's like charging for packets of ketchup; very petty.

My view out my 5th floor window....

Wow thats funny jason...i had the same coffee cup problem at breakfast too...haha...yes this is a pretty nice Hilton but its smells and looks old, yyou can just feel it, and old isn't really a feeling you want in a hotel...and pretty much ditto what you said...

Beautiful views, wonderful staff, extremely worth it.  We were spoiled by the place and the location.  I don't think there wasn't anything I didn't take pictures of.  Lol  I can't wait to come back here.

They have a wonderful ball room and would recomend it if you have a wedding party or event form more than 200 people.

Its legendary and a tourist attraction as the Hotel that the infamous dentist and murderess Clara Harris ran over her husband David over several times with her Mercedes.

The rooms are wonderful, the Sunday Brunch is wonderful and the views of Nassau Bay are terrific.

Just dont go thier with out your wife or husband people.

Pros--able to fit our entire baseball team in the hotel.  Nice pool.  Pretty views.

Cons--screwed up our group rate on my credit card.  Two weddings the same night--with VERY LOUD MUSIC and DRUNK PEOPLE.  And the AC did not cool our room.

I was so looking forward to a great night sleep--oh well.

Checked in on Wednesday afternoon and stayed 3 nights. The front desk was welcoming, and very hospitable. We were given a room on the 11th flr with a view of the lake. Onced we arrived at our room, the front desk calls us 15 min into unpacking to see how our room is. The room is spacious and standard (king size bed, flat screen tv, arm chair and ottoman and desk) but very clean. Like many reviews have mentioned, yes, the bathroom is tiny, however the size of the room and the great window makes up for it i think. I mean, how much time will you be really be spending in the bathroom. Unfortunately internet is not free here, and neither is breakfest. The gym is great, with towels and free water bottles and the restaurant may be a little expensive but the bar and drinks are great. I am staying here for business and will probably stay here again when I return.

On a quick trip (like 23.5 hours quick) to Houston in November, we reserved a room at the Hilton Nassau Bay for the night.  Our original plans for the weekend brought us down to the Nassau Bay area so I could visit with my best friend while we were down there.  Unfortunately, she came down with the flu the day before we flew down so our stay at this hotel was significantly out of the way.  By the time we arrived, we were exhausted, wanted to order take-out and be bums for the rest of the evening.

The front desk was helpful and gave us a few take out menus and quickly checked us in.  Our food was delivered quickly but we forgot to order drinks.

My biggest complaint about this hotel was that when we went to the gift shop to buy a couple of sodas the guy running the shop was attempting to close early and seemed extremely put out that he had to count his register again after I walked in and paid cash for a few Dr Peppers.  Sorry dude, if your hours are posted on the door...don't count your register before closing time.

The only good thing about this hotel is Herman, the bartender. He's fantastic- nice, charming, congenial and makes a mean cocktail.

The downsides? The rooms feel dirty. Our room smelled like what we determined was "musty curtains." I think we had a nice view of the bay, but the windows were dirty and were always condensated, so I'm not really sure.

We ordered room service and it was aw-ful. Less than one star. They got the order wrong, and everything was cold. If I only had one word to describe it I would say, "Gross." Also, they are very specific about tray removal, which I thought was nice. No one wants to walk by your disgusting picked-over food in the hall, so I thought, "Way to go, Hilton." They ask that you call room service and let them know you are finished. They'll send someone up right away to retrieve your tray. So I called, and they said to set it outside the door, someone would pick it up shortly. FOUR hours later it was still sitting outside our door. Oddly it didn't look any less appetizing than when it was "fresh."

Besides Herman, the only interesting thing about the Nassau Bay Hilton is the Clara Harris debacle. That was kind of exciting, but not cool enough to make up for the awful food or terrible smell in our unattractive room.

I really enjoyed my stay.  The hotel was modern and updated.  The room was clean and comfortable.  It was quiet so I was able to sleep through the night without interruption, which is very important to me.  The staff was great!  I'd recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very conveniently located near NASA with super comfy beds and fluffy pillows. Yay! I loves me some fluffy pillows!

Right on the water, this hotel has some great views and a back patio where you can relax.

While it is fairly easy to get lost in the neighborhood, it is easy to find the Hilton as it is by far the tallest building on it's block. Which helps if you are not from there.

The staff is friendly, and I my only complaint is that when I came in at night someone had left their leftovers near the elevator. The next day around lunch time...the food was still there. Eww.

I used this hotel for my wedding guests and stayed in the Honeymoon suite which they call in person the Presidential Suite but the web site says Honeymoon.

Everything was great for my guests. We also had a hospitality room that is normally a suite but they took out the bed so we had more room to mingle. I didn't hear any complaints from the guests as to their rooms. And all the rooms have a view of Clear Lake. The workers at the front desk even handed out goodie bags that I prepared for my guests. They kinda forgot a couple but they ended up getting their bags.

The Presidential Suite is amazing! The view is great. You have 1 and a half bathrooms, a pantry, huge bar area, dining room table to feed 10, tv in the bedroom, tv in the living room with couch, balcony (that is shared with the suite next door) and really pretty doors at the front along with marble in the bathroom. I was pretty impressed. You also have access to their lounge on the 14th floor that has breakfast in the morning and snacks throughout the day.

This was a great location right in the middle of our rehearsal dinner restaurant, the church and reception site. Its also right next to NASA for business people.

The only reason they didn't get 5 stars was because we had some issues getting the presidential suite but it all worked out. We also made all the reservations under Josh's dads Hilton points so he got a bundle with these reservations.

I really enjoyed staying at this Hilton. The customer service was great and the room was nice and roomy. The beds were also really comfortable and we received our 3rd night free for booking 2 nights. That's always a plus! Now, the room did get a little stuffy in the morning for a few hours, maybe that's because the shower had been used.

My mom felt like there was something very eerie and weird about this hotel but she couldn't put her finger on it, but she did enjoy our stay. I can say it was pretty empty for a weekend, however, each night we were there, there was something going on in their ball room so that attracted a big crowd, but the next morning it was pretty desolate again. Even at breakfast, there was hardly no one. BUT the breakfast was sooo good. The continental and the buffet were both delicious and the service was great.

This hotel was kind of in the middle of no where in my opinion. The location was nice if you don't want to be in the mix of everything but next time I'll stay closer to downtown. I definitely recommend this hotel if the area is convenient for you because it is in a nice area and the bay it sits on is beautiful!

In terms of a Hilton, it's a little older look and feel on the outside, but they have a great lobby area, with a tremendously lovely lobby. I mean, that's what you want right, who cares about the exterior, it's all about what happens inside.

It's not hard to miss, one of the taller buildings on NASA Parkway, you can't miss the Hilton "H" on the side of the building.  It's not particularly large; however, the place seems larger than it is, when you are in the lobby, which seems expansive and looks like it was recently remodeled.

As a Hilton Diamond, I'm provided to a Complementary Continental Breakfast, but I opted to get the breakfast buffet, which was fantastic.  Served at the restaurant below, Luna Café, besides the normal foods, eggs, sausage and bacon... they also have a few options which they cycle, keeping the buffet fresh and new.

The rooms are nicely sized, and the beds are very comfortable.  You get five pillows, of varying softness, and covers which were all fresh smelling.  You expect that, and they don't disappoint.

If I had to come back here again, I would definitely do so, they treated me well, and the accommodations were prefect for my business trip.

Very mixed comments. Stayed here in room 717 one night, Sept 29, 2013. Standard room, which was fairly spacious, good beds, bedding, lighting, a/c, etc. Clean. Nice view of water.
Room has coffee maker, iron (no ironing board), hair dryer, clock/radio, TV in working order. (No bathrobes.)
Beds are comfortable. Pillows are huge, feel like sandbags!
Room has refrigerator, no microwave.
Closet is very tiny!
Bathroom: VERY small. Visible spots of dark mold around bathtub. This needs attention. Bathroom sink is CRACKED! When water comes out of sink faucet it sprays and splatters. Maybe spigot filter needs cleaning or replacing.
Plenty of towels, soap, stuff in tubes and bottles, etc.
There's an ice maker on the floor. Free newspapers (USA Today) in lobby, and on table on each floor near elevators.
Check-in was fast and efficient. Staff was friendly.
No actual gift shop. Small area next to front desk with candy, chips, soft drinks, essentials, etc.
Requested wake up call came on time.
Lobby is very "grand," and spacious. But very "cold," and uncomfortable. Not an area where you would want to sit around.
We didn't use room service or restaurant.
Bottom line. This place is dated. Needs serious sprucing up. ESPECIALLY the bathroom in #717!
Our room was $142. But with taxes, $167.88.
We were somewhat let down. NOT up to Hilton standards.

This review is a week late in posting, but I doubt much has changed.

My stay here was phenominal....I was upgraded to a lakeside view which was breathtaking for me to awaken to every morning.  At the check in counter I was greeted by the staff (Cyndi[?] was behind the counter, to which see check me in quickly.  (I later found out there was a contest going onin which after a service you can fill out a card saying 'what a pleasureable experience I had with that particular staff.)  I had no problem filling it out and after doing so she upgraded me with free internet ( I thought it was odd internet at the hilton is 10 dollars more whereas I see it everywhere for free, but whatever)  And also to mention...on friday, I had connectivity issue where I couldn'tt connect, so they transfered me to their IT staff (outsourced) but that to was a speedy and pleasant experience.  I was promised a free beer, which I never got.  So the one reason one less star.

In the Luna area where I ate breakfast and dinner, the staff were friendly and professional.  Food was good and tasty, so I felt full and with the window view of the Bay it was...really relaxing.  Breakfast was all you can eat.  Dinner was super pricey (I ate a steak out in town with everything for 30 dollars.  At the luna, just teh STEAK alone was 31 dollars.)

The gift shop was nice, and pricey...as all gift shops usually are.  The one issue here was...on the ATM inside their stopre, they have displayed on their ATM that  you buy 2 shirts and get a hat for free.  So I bought 2 shirts; however they would not honor that special.  In my time in retail, either you honor it if its displayed, or you take down the sign or something.  She (the woman behind the counter) didn't seem too concerned, although she was friendly and helpful finding me a shirt I was looking for.

Taxi service was nice here.  I liked it.  But construction in some areas made for slow travel, at no fault of the cab company or the hotel.

Pretty disappointing for a Hilton, but hey, this is the go-to standard for business trips to JSC.  Small room, my phone was broken, the room was not very well-cleaned, the towels were dirty, and the whole floor smelled like hamster pee.  That said, they have a decent breakfast buffet and you can rent jet skis from their back patio.  Why here, I don't know.  Maybe they should invest their watersports partnership funding in a de-hamster-pee-smell program.

This hotel has all the amenities if you dont mind paying for them.  I paid extra for a water view room. Upon checkout,  I found that my 139 room turned into 170 with taxes and fees. No free internet unless you are gold with hilton. The ceilings are very low in the rooms.  Sound easily comes thru the walls inside and out so its not too quiet at night. One positive was that the shower pressure could peel paint and had plenty of hot water. I did like that. I will not go back to this property. There are many others more reasonably priced with better service.

We did a "stay-cation" for the kids to see NASA and had family in town, who stayed here at the Hilton. We were big fans of the property which has been nicely updated over the years.

Go for the lake-side view.  They are very close to NASA and the Space Center, which was the big point. Bonus was that the staff was very informative and friendly.

Would I recommend? Yes.

It's well maintained but still it's not recently built. The room and in particular the bathroom can be a little bigger. But then the lake view is just gorgeous, and their rate is competitive.

I booked this hotel this past weekend from Priceline and received a pretty good deal for the area. We stayed on the 8th floor and had a great view of the water. Bad news was since this was a little weekend getaway, I had expected to get a king size bed. It was not specified on checkout which type of room. When I went back to the front desk the gentleman was a little rude and explained that since I had a discounted rate I was not "eligible" for an upgrade. Despite the fact I already had an ocean view room, I would have been willing to "downgrade" to get a king. After some argument, he then changed his story to now they didn't have any king rooms left. I'm sorry but a 12+ story hotel who's parking lot was pretty empty..... I just wasn't buying it. Needless to say, by boyfriend and I stayed the weekend I Love Lucy style in separate beds. :(

I really enjoyed my stay here. The rooms are spacious and even the non-lakeside views are pretty nice. The hotel is very modern and clean. It's a great place to stay, if a bit pricey, and  my only real complaint would be that there's nothing in the general vicinity of this hotel worth eating/doing/seeing save for the Johnson Space Center.

But as for the hotel itself, it seems like everything here is pretty new and well-kept. Hilton hotels can vary, but I especially like the pillows here.

For a Hilton hotel, this has been my worse experience. I booked it for three nights but after the first night, I had to leave. First I booked a king bed and they have me twin beds. Second I found two dirty pillows. I called the front desk twice just got them to bring two more which took forever. Third.....oh boy....don't get me started, the bathroom was dirty, the floor was sticky and the bed sheets were so stiff that it made sleeping so uncomfortable. If I could've have given this place zero stars I would.

Liked the location however upon arrival to my room there was leftovers from room services outside my door. I had to call the Reception desk twice and go to the lobby in order to get it removed. It makes me wonder if someone from the Hotel staff had been in there eating.  It was very weird and disappointing to see trash outside the room when the maid service was already done working for the day. Not sure if I would go back due to the laziness of the staff however the Hotel itself is nice.

Nice view with spacious rooms. Claudia in the Executive Lounge is a sweetheart and was very helpful. Great decor in the rooms and all of the staff i encountered were very professional and wonderful to interact with. I left my jacket in the room and had already left the hotel. I called the hotel and the lady at the front desk promptly went to my room to get my jacket and offered to hold it until i could come back or would mail it to me.

Will definitely stay here again next time i am in Clear Lake

I had a decent stay here in September; 2 separate trips of about 4 nights each.

Nothing spectacular but the beds in both rooms were comfortable. The fridge and tv both worked fine and Internet was decent.

During my second stay, my room was not as thoroughly cleaned. The coffee and creamers were not refreshed and trash wasn't emptied which I find totally unacceptable.

However, the front desk associates were always very pleasant and accommodating as you'd expect from a Hilton property.

The view is the best thing about this hotel. Service is mediocre and the rooms always seem damp. Although it's close to NASA, there is nothing within a walkable distance. Do head to the other end of the lake and check out the Kemah boardwalk. Great for date night or the family.

I have stayed at this hotel off and on for the better part of 10 years. Just got to say. It's always pleasurable.

Stayed last night. Looks like the renovation is done. Room was clean, well appointed and quiet. Robe on bed was a nice touch.

Bar/dinning was equally nice. Views are pleasing. Breakfast was quiet. Something about boats breaking the early waters and birds swooping in for the morning catch.

Best of all is the multilingual staff. They are top notch. Can't wait to come relax again.

Not much to say.  We were pleased with the staff and the room.  The staff was polite and helpful.  The room was clean, modern, well maintained and had a killer view.
Try all the booking websites, including Hiltons own, but we got a VERY good deal on Hotel.com .  Comparable to the same chains Hampton Inns.  I would definitely go back.
Tip:  This is a highrise, overlooking the water, so try and book the side with the view.

We held a school reunion at this Hilton on Nasa Road 1.  I will never have an event at this facility EVER AGAIN.  The contract was not specific, the hidden charges were just that, HIDDEN.  One event person told us one thing and then another told us another story.  Then to try to clarify, they would send you to different departments instead of putting their heads together to help the customer.  We spent a lot of money at this facility and are so disappointed.   The departments do not work on the same page and have no idea who has done what.  The department manager has less of a clue as to what was going on.  They placed an UNAUTHORIZED charge on my credit card.  The food was TERRIBLE.  The crab dip smelled so strong that you wondered if it had been properly kept temped.  The chicken fingers were dry and the meatballs left a lot to be desired.  The only thing edible was the fruit.  Now, on to the sleeping facility.  We have pictures of the incredible filth. Rusted exposed pipes. Dirty baseboards.  Non functioning lights.  I am so incredibly disappointed with this Hilton that I will never give a Hilton Hotel another penny!  VLN

Not a good experience so far.  The double bed rooms don't have queen beds, they have double beds. Dosnt work well for a family if 4. So they brought us two air mattresses and moved us to a room with a king bed. One mattress had a hole so large it wouldn't air up at all. The other mattress deflated by morning. Those were the only air mattresses they had. So they moved us again to another room with a king bed and a pullout bed, on a floor that had a party going on in the hallway. A bunch of drunk soldiers and their girls making noise all night long. Complained to the hotel staff several times before we went to bed, then was woken up again at 1:00 am by more loud voices and doors slamming. Had to call the front desk and have security sent up.
Doors slamming all night long so hard it was shaking our headboard. Not a happy camper.

We stayed one night before a cruise. The rooms are definitely in need of some updating, but otherwise it was clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were welcoming and friendly. There is a shuttle that will take you to the more populated areas where there are ample shopping and restaurant options. If you can get a great deal, this is a perfectly acceptable place to spend a night before heading to bayport cruise terminal.

Came here to see the art of Starving artists. All of the paintings were very beautiful and just ok priced. Before coming, I was thinking that the pieces weren't going to be original, but I was wrong. All of the art was either made by acrylic, oil, or so. I bought my sister who is a judge of art with me to clarify the difference. It was nice to get out of the house to explore this show.

The hilton seemed very nice, and the marble floors were beautiful too. Although, the banquet room was fairly small and I just thought it wasn't a good idea to stuff the room with a bunch of visitors and art. The room was getting extremely crowded and people often bumped into each other when trying to view the paintings.

Overall, it was a nice experience.

Meh, I give it a 3 out of 5 because it didn't blow me away but it wasn't the worst place I've stayed. The conference rooms experienced a problem with the A/C one day so we were uncomfortably warm then blasted with cold. I don't count this against the hotel bc it wasn't their fault and they worked quickly to get it fixed.

My room was clean and spacious and overlooked the water which was great. I had a "balcony" which was basically a door to a platform large enough for one person to stand and take pictures. You weren't going to pull up a chair out there.

My one problem with this hotel is its front desk staff; I encountered more than one rude employee here. They seemed annoyed when we asked about their shuttle service. When I request late check out I had to wait for the two women to finish a personal conversation. At check out, one woman was on the phone while another ignored me as she fiddled with a walkie talkie. I finally stepped directly in front of her and she held up a finger (to indicate wait), giggled to herself then got back on the walkie talkie. I seriously wanted to hit her over the head with it. Talking to others from the same conference, I learned several people experienced the same behavior.

On the other hand, we ran into several other employees in the elevator, room service and concierge departments and  they were all very kind and helpful. Sadly the front desk is where you make one of your first impressions so it left a bad taste. If you go in expecting idiots behind the counter, the rest of your stay will probably be ok.

My wife and I were celebrating our 31st wedding anniversary and she wanted to go see the Kemah Boardwalk. I made reservations at the Hilton because if there is one near where I'm going to be, that's where I stay.

I rate this hotel as follows.

Front desk: A+

Bar: A+ due to the delightful bartendress, Jen.

Room: B as there is no vent in the bathroom...weird. The view of Clear Lake was great and the hot water and water pressure was perfect.

Jesse the Hilton shuttle bus driver: A+

Raphael the restaurant manager: A+

Breakfast Buffet: A+

We'll be back.

Hilton is known for attention to detail.  While it may have been remembered in the decor, it was forgotten by the staff.  I choose the business package that includes wifi and breakfast, after 5 requests and promises to deliver to room for my breakfast vouchers, I finally stopped by the front desk in the final day and after some arguing was granted a voucher. Was my room rate reduced for this error?  No!   Maids did not even leave towels nor clean the tub. Why leave empty shampoo in the shower?   View is fantastic!  Rest is marginal at best.

I've only stayed here once, and I will definitely stay here again. As a Hilton diamond member, I was given a room on the executive floor, as well as access to the executive lounge, open 24 hours a day. My room had a view of the lake, which was so pretty at night! I liked listening to the waves - very calming!

The executive lounge is awesome because there is a balcony with a couple of tables and chairs. You can sit outside, chill, and listen to the water. In the evenings, there are hor d'oeuvres. When I was there last month, there were pot stickers available. There are also your typical cheeses, fruits, and non-alcoholic beverages. Alcoholic beverages are charged to the room.

Breakfast in the executive lounge consists of scrambled eggs, bacon/sausage, breads of your choice, pastries, fresh fruit, and cereal. Considering the small space (compared to the Hilton Baltimore's executive lounge), they certainly pack a lot of food on the counter! With a comfortable clean room, great views, and great service, I would stay here again!

The days of this Hilton just might have passed. Let's see if we can get that moon base or mission to Mars thing going!

The good: beautiful grounds. But inside...

Perhaps we were here off season, perhaps the winter holidays are not high season, this Hilton can use a thorough maintaining.  The tremendous number of nicks, dings, and scratches everywhere in this property, carpet and floor filth, windows needing washing, the owners might think about budgeting a thorough bottom to top here across from Johnson NASA.

We had previously stayed at a mid tier Marriott that has this place out-classed for the moment.

The views are great and the staff has been awesome. Dated hotel and not walking distance to anything. Plan accordingly. The pool was being treated, I didn't think it was the off season. But the bed and room was compfy and would get 4 stars but I was expecting more after seeing the pictures on line.

My theory of hotel chain of command still holds true.

Visited the Hilton Honors Club on the Pent House floor on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and it was as if a C-list rock band had trashed the area the night before. Emptied yogurt cups, dried cereal, and mysterious sticky spots littered the otherwise well designed and spacious room.

The pristine weather and view was marred by the tornado of litter within the room. I will note that an employee saw the chaos after we were there for about 30 minutes and immediately called for emergency assistance.

This hotel is not up to Hilton standards in service or amenities.  I am a diamond member so I stay around a hundred or so nights a year in a Hilton and I am very familiar with all levels of the chain from Waldorf to Hampton.

First of all, the hotel is pretty small.  Lobby, lounge, etc are some of the smaller that I've seen in a regular Hilton.  More on par with a Doubletree.  The outside hotel grounds are not very clean - makes you wonder about eating etc.

Now to the service.   It is right by NASA so they have a shuttle.  Only problem is that when we went to get on the shuttle they said it wasn't running that day until 3:30 because the driver wasn't there.

The maid literally used our restroom right before we went into our room. We were locked out and she walked out and sprayed some spray to help with the awful smell.   Then another maid came into our room 10 minutes later using a key!!  I guess we had the bathroom!

The free executive lounge isn't too bad but the service in the main restaurant isn't very friendly.

There aren't a lot of choices in the area but you'd be much better off just staying at a Hampton or closer to Houston.

MEH at best.  We booked this hotel primarily because we are a Hilton family- we've grown accustomed to their exceptional service and standards.  So- if you're looking for that- look elsewhere!  When we arrived, we checked in and walked up to the room.  Neither key worked, so my husband went back down to lobby.  He was gone about 10 minutes.  Just as he was returning, our door suddenly opened and a maid walked out.  From the smells of it- she was using the bathroom.  About an hour later, another maid walked in our room without knocking (using a key)  and looked shocked that we were there.  So- we came to the conclusion that our room had been picked as the designated poop room for staff.  Lovely, right?  The executive lounge was nice- although the one brand of crap wine they offered was $9 a glass.  It was undrinkable  at best. The bartender was extremely rude in the downstairs bar- so we didn't hang out there after the first drink.
We planned a trip to NASA (which was awesome), but even though we confirmed this first- the front desk said they couldn't shuttle us their?? The shuttle is parked outside, so not sure why they wouldn't do this.  The entire hotel staff seems to have thrown in the towel on service, and we therefore would NOT recommend staying here!!

Killer views and nice room! Service could be better.

Check-in was smooth and the front desk (day/early evening) staff was rather friendly. The post-midnight front desk staff seemed irritable when I posed a question to the gentleman behind the counter.

My room was clean and well-appointed, and I had an incredible view overlooking the waters. The only downside that I had in terms of housekeeping was that our toiletries were not replenished.  Since we only came back to our room in the evenings, it was just not worth the trouble to call and get extra toiletries.

Beyond the service hiccups, it was a comfortable stay.

Attended a class here in one of their meeting rooms. I ate in the connected restaurant for lunch and had the $7.95 soup and salad buffet. No meat was provided but ingredients were decent. I loaded up on boiled eggs and chopped bacon for my protein. They had 2 soup selections but I opted for the hearty tomato based penne soup which was decent as well . They automatically included a 22% charge for tip which I think was too high considering I got my own food.  My view however, was a nice one as I stared off over the water.

Conference rooms and bathrooms looked new and modern...however, restrooms in the hotel lobby had a horrible stench.  Lucky us there was some souped up car convention nearby as well. We quickly discovered the walls weren't thick enough to block out their exhausts.  At least parking was easy. I found front parking the 3 consecutive  days I was in and out of this place.

Sorry no comment of the rooms since I didn't stay here!

Oh so tired. Here's another Hilton Hotel in Texas that saw its heyday way before Paris was born.

That being said, this Hilton is on the bank of the lake, and has some things going for it. One of them is the gym. This is a great workout facility. We spent a long time in here and they even have free waters!

The room, while beat up, rundown, and old with a leaking refrigerator, was comfortable. And we slept well. It was quiet even though there was a latex convention going on in the hotel. Look up latex fetish and you will see what I mean.

Staff was mostly pleasant and helped me find a great cabdriver. You can't walk to anything from here and the on premises restaurant is mediocre to subpar at best. So you will need transportation to get to dinner.

The exception to the restaurant is breakfast, included in my rate, was excellent! So, some good, some bad, the hotel is pretty run down. Don't have your wedding here. But it will do for a one night stay to get to your cruise or to see NASA!

Stayed here back in early March for one Saturday night. Staff definitely made this location as everyone was beyond friendly. We had a quick and easy check in/out even though we had purchased the rooms through hotels.com . One thing to note is that they won't consider your hhonors card if you have booked through a third party site. I was stoked to use our diamond status for the exec lounge and upgrades and they wouldn't even look at the card. No problemo though.

I'm surprised to see reviews suggesting the rooms need updating, as we were on the 8th floor and our room was pristine. The decor of the hotel itself is very modern 'spacey', fitting with the neighborhood theme. Our room was huge and overlooked the parking lot/pool/marina. We were right beside the elevators, though heard no noise per this. The room had a large fridge available, which was perfect as we had purchased some food/beverage items on our way down from Houston.

I have to mention as well, that the shuttle service is a life saver. The driver we had was incredibly friendly and we never had a wait. We were dropped off at the Kemah boardwalk and picked back up promptly. We were even able to catch a ride to a country bar down the street. This was perfect and saved us tons in parking/cab fees. I saw other reviews about walking to NASA and that's definitely not recommended. It's a hike and if the shuttle isn't available, definitely drive.

We also encountered the latex convention folks that Alice G mentions. That was quite the surprise to find a patron decked from head to toe in the elevator, though I'm sure our cowgirl gear was equally as quirky to him (her?). Might have suggested the hotel post more notice of this event in the lobby as I can't see families enjoying that surprise.
