Got this hotel last minute since I was too tired to drive home.  Looked up Hotwire and it was the only 3 star hotel available in the area for $57 plus tax.  More than what I'd usually spend on a hotel..but ya know.. last minute.  Pretty comfortable bed with firm and soft pillows of your choice.  I like that they give you shampoos of Bath and Body Works Coconut Ver... scent.  Decent stay if you need to stay by the airport.  I like the smell of this place...

We ran late on a shoot and missed our Brevard Video crew's schedule flight. Despite the late hour, the staff was great at getting us checked in quickly and storing some of our equipment behind the desk area.

Overall the hotel itself was ok. Not the worst I have ever stayed in by far but certainly not the best. Pros: The front desk staff were nice. The room was clean. The bed was comfy. Cons: thin walls in that I could hear people in the next room, people in the hall, doors slamming and the airplanes taking off from the airport that is ACROSS the street. Also breakfast is not included in the price of the room.

The location of the hotel can be a pro or con depending on why you are needing to stay there. If you are flying in/out of Hobby Airport you are super close and if you are not needing to do much but sleep or hang in your room before a flight this hotel would work fine. I inadvertently was booked there by my corporate office who was not familiar with the area and this hotel is not near anything I would want to do or need and the location is somewhat sketchy. There are least two strip clubs (and not good ones at that) nearby and other than the Taco Cabana down the street (which I love Taco Cabana so was fine with that) there are not really any places to eat. I think there is a restaurant in the hotel but I didn't go there.

I won't stay here again because for my business needs it isn't anywhere near our office there and there are better areas of town where I can get a room for the same price. But I would stay there if I needed to fly in/out of Hobby airport and needed a close place to stay.

Quiet hotel near the Houston Hobby airport.  Good size room with a queen bed and very clean. Free shuttle service to and from the airport makes it easy to get in and out of the hotel.I will definitely stay here again.

I must agree that this is a very nice hotel...I am content with my stay this week.

Good room, comfortable and quiet. Bed and pillows were perfect.

One complaint...the WiFi is horrible. Room 622 has zero connectivity. I tried my laptop, iPhone and my iPad. On business, WiFi is a must.

Would I stay again in the future...yes, no complaints except for the WiFi.

Room was clean, staff was nice, free shuttle to airport 2 mins away was nice...

But... As a Plat RA, they did nothing. No welcome gift, no preferred room upgrade, not even a thank you. In comparison to other HI's I've stayed at, this was below par in this regard.

My husband and I along with two friends stayed here one night before driving to Galveston for a cruise. We booked on Hotwire and were pleased with the rate. The shuttle from Hobby airport was quick and convenient. The shuttle will also take you to select local restaurants as well. We took advantage of that for lunch. The room was good and seemed clean and the bed was comfortable. We also had breakfast there in the morning which we all enjoyed. I would certainly return if I were flying to Hobby again!

We always stay at a Hilton and always have a great experience! Staff were lovely. Breakfast (included in our package) was substantial and delicious, with friendly wait staff in attendance. We got a room with two bathrooms, which was even better than you think it would be!

I usually stay here when in Houston because of its convenient location to the airport and its free shuttle. The rooms are comfortable enough for the price. Also, free parking! I've never had any problems with my reservations even though I always book to a third-party site.

Out of the two times that I stayed here, my only complaint is that the shower in one of the rooms only let out boiling hot water. Luckily my stay was short and I don't take long showers or that would have been a major issue.

I have to rate this hotel in several categories but overall this was a decent hotel to stay in.

Rooms:  Spacious room with a king size bed and comfortable sheets and pillows.; flat screen HDTV with ample cable options; business area with desk and comfortable chair for sitting.  Clean bathroom!  No complaints here really except for the shower seemed somewhat complicated but ultimately I figured it out.  Standard, no frills room that was comfortable for my needs.  Window view of the airport.

Staff:  Very accomodating to me and the group of 30 I was with.  Restaurant/bar staff are not exactly overly organized or professionally trained but they sure put out a solid effort in trying to make you happy.  Very friendly people from the room attendants, front desk and service areas.  Also, Paul the shuttle driver was great too.  He helped me get a few needed items that didn't make the flight at the Walmart during a slow time.  I appreciated the above and beyond service.

Boulevard Restaurant:  For a hotel restaurant that isn't going for James Beard Awards, the food was decent all around.  The menu is simple and stays focused:  a few appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, entrees and desserts.  Far from overwhelming!  The standout items on the menu were the pesto chicken club sandwich which was so good, I ordered it twice.  The chicken fajitas were decent and worth a look.  Ed the dining manager noted that it is the hotels best seller.  Pass on the burger but the fries are good.  If you're going to try one thing, be adventurous and order the shrimp cocktail.  It must have 8-10 decent size marinated shrimp in a zesty, non traditional cocktail sauce that rings of horseradish and salsa.  It was so good, I ordered two of them.

Amenities:  Onsite DYI laundry for $1.50.  Nice because in Chicago this cost me $6.00.  Business center to print off boarding passes and to check in.  Nothing fancy but a simple kiosk to make your travel plans more seamless.  Didn't hit the outside pool but a buddy noted the hot tub was indeed hot.  ***It was in the 30s in Houston  all week I was there so no outdoor swim for me***

Overall, a decent stay and perhaps a renewed faith in the Holiday Inn experience.
