My wife and I have been here for a week. The room and staff are great. We will look for this chain of hotels in the future as our primary choice.

You would never know that this hotel is close to a highway. Most hotels in Florida that are near a major road get the kind of clientele that charge by the hour and tend to be pretty beat up as far as maintenance goes. Homewood Suite really felt like home. We actually kept saying that throughout the trip. When we were going to head back to hotel, we'd catch ourselves saying "It's time to head home".
When we checked in, the employee working the front desk greeted us warmly and even arranged for us to have a room that would be more comfortable for our family of four. The hotel was clean, and offered most of the major amenities: breakfast, business center, pool, basketball court, and plenty of parking. There's also a BBQ restaurant next door, and plenty of shopping centers and restaurants within a mile of the hotel.
Our room was like a little apartment. We had a kitchen with a dishwasher, stove, sink/garbage disposal, microwave, and refrigerator. It was also stocked with dishes and utensils. There was a "living room" area with a sofa bed and a flat screen TV on top of a dresser. Then in the "bedroom", two double beds, flat screen, desk and chair, and a larger dresser. There was a single sink just outside the bathroom with bright lighting and a standard hotel quality hair dryer. The closet was next to the sink and had a safe and extra sheets for the sofa bed inside. I think there may have also been an iron and ironing board. The closet was pretty small, but worked for us since we mostly used the drawers. The bathroom had a bathtub/shower and they had Neutrogena products available.
Breakfast each morning was awesome: yogurt, fresh fruit, bacon, sausage, eggs, bagels, scones, cereal, juice, coffee, etc. It was pretty impressive for free hotel breakfast. The pool area was nice, but the gates lock at 9 pm. It's also not heated, but there is a hot tub.
Although I won't probably stay at this particular location again (it's far from where we usually visit family in Houston, but it was near the venue where my cousin was getting married which was why we were in Texas), I will definitely add Homewood Suites to my hotel searches when I go on other trips because I really liked my experience, and I thought it was a great value for the price.

Our redeye flight arrived early in the morning and we requested an early check-in. They rushed our room and we were in around 11 am! Awesome when we had a horrible redeye flight.
New, clean, modern.
Strong free WiFi.
Nice stocked kitchenette.

Was down in Houston for a one-nighter and pulled into Homewood Suite's around 4pm for check in. Met at front desk and was informed I was getting an upgrade to one of their apartments, 750 sq. feet, two bed, two bath. Was traveling alone, but never say no to an upgrade. Then the kicker....AC is out in the room, won't be ready for two hours...sigh. If I was staying two nights, would have had them hold my bags and run some errands, got a drink etc, but no big deal and gentleman was apologetic. Put me in a regular suite, far end of the hotel to hopefully cut down on the noise.
Hotel in decent condition, little older but no weird smells etc. Room was fine, standard suite with fridge, microwave, 37" TV in both rooms, etc. No bottled water in the room..I did not notice till later and did not go up front for it, as I had water from my trip. Also, love that the Dallas Hilton, Homewoods etc are doing chocolate bars or cookies in the room when you arrive, is a nice touch. Another quick note, usually Homewood has beer/wine, occasionally liquor and snacks most nights. This one was no exemption, but the front desk usually lets you know and reminds you and what time everything is out. Stopped by before I went out to dinner and saw no food, couple bottles of wine and no glasses and two pitchers of beer with some cups. Pretty haphazard and was relatively early..so skipped it.
When I got back from dinner and running errands, no infused water, water, cookies, anything up front like most Hilton properties, which was unfortunate as I usually count on that as my last snack before turning in.
Breakfast next morning was fine, standard Hilton style fair. Staff working the breakfast were courteous and helpful, asking if anything was needed and cleaning plates and area, very nice.
Overall, decent experience but nothing remarkable.

This was my first time ever staying at a Homewood Suites location, and they've gone to the top of my list for future travels. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the check-in/check-out process was the quickest and easiest I've had at any hotel. Check-in literally took 30 seconds; check-out was as simple as handing over my keys and walking out the door (my bill had been printed and slid under my door earlier in the morning).
The rooms are very well-appointed for the price and have an ample amount of space, and also have probably the most comfortable hotel beds you'll find at this price point. The property is only a year or two old, so everything is still in excellent shape. I was truly surprised at how nice everything was, and at a price that really isn't much more than staying at a run-of-the-mill Days Inn or whatever.
The only negative I can note is that the walls seem to be VERY thin - yes, this is a hotel, so I don't expect a ton of peace and quiet, but I could hear virtually EVERYTHING in adjoining rooms and in the hallway. Not bothersome during the day, but loud or rowdy groups coming through at night could easily rouse you from your sleep.
