I have stayed in lots of hotels over the last year and this hotel was one of the nicest.  Having only opened in November, the feeling of newness was everywhere.  Staying in a clean, new feeling hotel is such a nice feeling.

The hotel staff, particularly front desk person Tiffany, were awesome.  Everyone was so accomodating to our group (I was there with my son's ice hockey team).  The hotel provided us with a free breakfast buffet as a part of our group stay.  With kids that are 11 and 12 years old, free breakfast is absolutely huge.

The hotel was about 10 mins from the Memorial City Mall, which actually was just fine.  It is located very close to major thoroughfares which makes getting around town handy also.  Though just a block from the sam houston tollway, traffic noise was non-existent.

I definitely would suggest that our group stay in this property if we need to stay in houston again.

Stayed here one night for a conference and I will definitely be returning.  I was greeted warmly as soon as I walked in the door and was given a room immediately even though I was 3 hours prior to check in time.  The room was clean and modern with complimentary bottles of water and coffee in my room.  The bed was incredibly comfortable and I am extremely picky about my bed and bedding.  I was awoken early morning by someone dropping something in the hall around 7 am and I was so comfortable I temporarily forgot where I was.  Great Hotel!  It's location is great too as I had to be at the City Centre by 9am and I got there in less than 10 minutes with morning traffic.
The wifi was decent though not super fast, I didn't get frustrated.  It was free for 24 hours, but I am not sure of the cost after that.

I've stayed at this location multiple times in the past year.  It's a nice hotel.  It's clean and has decent amenities.  The staff is friendly and very accommodating to their guests.  They have a pool and a good exercise facility.  I've been able to get a decent work-out here during my stays.

They offer free issues of USA Today to their guests and if you need a snack, there is free fresh fruit at the front desk.

I stayed her few months back , I have to say my room was excellent and the bartender  and service on the concierges level was very good . The food preparation was very nice and tasty , only draw back was the menu was very limiting . Refreshments served cold and promptly . My only 2 complaints would be 1 had a downstairs bartender try and serve me a frozen Shiner when I asked for one that was not frozen he frowned at me and told me this the way we drink Shiner in Texas. I guess this cowboy figured it was my first rodeo boy was he wrong , there was no tip for service that night . The second would be the waitress my last day there. Her service was lacking and slow , the food was good  as expected. When the meal was over this lady demanded a tip , in front of all my colleagues. Embarrassing to say the least , but as I started out in the service industry I appreciated good service an I tip well ask my wife. I believe in paying a tip for good service not because it is expected of me or taken for granted that all will tip. A tip is just that a thank you for great service an a job well done. Needles to say these 2 employees  soured me of this Hotel an next time down will look at stay else where

I stayed here for a few nights for a meeting.  The hotel was clean and new.  Everyone who worked at the hotel were nice and friendly.  I did not rent a car during this business trip  and had to rely on the hotel shuttle to take me out when I had to go on a personal errand.  They were more than happy to help me when the shuttle was available.

I ate breakfast at the hotel both mornings.  The food was fresh and that staff was friendly.  It is always a plus when Starbucks coffee is served.

Booked and paid for room prior to check-in, When I showed up they wanted $50.00 upfront before giving me a room for things like renting movies and dry cleaning, staying one night not using either but they wanted the money before allowing me a room even though I paid in advance

Second time I've stayed here on a trip to Houston. Love this hotel. Nice on the outside. Nice on the inside. It's the Sheraton way. Worth the money.

Nice hotel with a good bar and restaurant.  Super clean rooms with excellent staff.  Free wi-fi a nice feature.   I'd like more food options within walking distance but, you cannot have everything.

Excellent hotel! Very  clean and comfortable. I always stay club level for the free Internet,  breakfadt, and night apps. It is well worth the additional money per night.

been here many times on business. The hotel is clean rooms are huge. They do have a weird smell at times no idea why. Club floor is 5 so stay there if you can. Food well, breakfast is good, I have ordered a few things from the menu and really not that good. The area has plenty of restaurants and I would recommend going out. Parking is plenty no issue there. Clay road well, traffic is traffic lolol.

No complimentary breakfast.  15.00 each if you do decide to eat the nasty food they leave out.

The Sheraton should be the standard for all hotels- quality service and ultra chic. Each guest room was decorated in a sophisticated and elegant manner with architectural details that were very appealing to the eyes. And while the purpose of our stay was to sleep hours upon hours on a large comfy bed, the bathroom really caught my attention. The shower was enormous and unlike most hotels, their showers had glass doors instead of the usual cheap curtains.  Additionally the dual door entrance to the bathroom made it appear even that much more spacious. And totally random, but they scored major brownie points with their 6 port plug station to charge all of our gadgets!

Overall a great stay!

Not a bad choice for a hotel in Houston. Not sure what type of sorcery you're supposed to call upon to make it here easily, but once you do, it's nice. That i10 circumvention is a strange beast...

The hotel rooms are nice. Big and comfy beds, very nice restrooms, and huge desks.

One thing I didn't enjoy was the smell of this place. Each corridor or common area had the smell of horrificly bland catering. Probably had something to do with the "leadership" summit or whatever was happening at the time.

A-OK in my book.

Nice lobby, lounge, and amenities. Clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Although there was a technical glitch and we were charged twice AGAIN, at least this location apologized and gave us a free upgrade. My credit card will be reimbursed in 3 days.

Louis is the man!!!  He was working the evening cocktail and food reception and was one of the nicest, friendliest, most helpful guys I've ever interacted with.  The rest of the hotel seems great, staff are friendly, rooms are nice and spacious--what I would expect from a good quality Sheraton property.

Whoever said, "Everything is bigger in Texas" never saw the rooms in this place. At first, I was wondering why the beds were in the closet, until I realized that I was standing in the room, and there was no closet. I unpacked, changed into my bedclothes, carried my toiletries to the bath alcove (calling it a bathroom is an insult to the "room" part), lined myself of for my evening ablutions, and bruised the motherfucking shit out of three toes on my right foot because, jutting out from the tub, hidden by the curtain, is a small, marble wall, apropos of nothing, designed to make taking a nighttime piss a health hazard. So, after wrapping hand towels around the FootMangler(tm), I tried again. Still easier said than done, because the door was in the way, but possible.

I lay down to get some sleep. Perhaps I have been spoiled by staying at the Westin, but I've grown accustomed to having at least a modicum of pad between body and springs. Not so on this bed! And they are hugely squeaky, too, which is a delight.

After finally succumbing to exhaustion, which allowed me to overcome the sounds of elephants on pogo sticks on the other side of the paper-thin walls, I got my requisite three hours of sleep, and made my way to the oddly placed shower. First of all, it definitely needs those grip strips. Since your choices are to enter in the middle of the spray (which I don't like doing, as I prefer not being blinded as I step into a slippery area), or open the curtain on the end of the tub, soaking the toilet, your best bet is to reach for the handicapped bar across the tub and hold onto that while you haul yourself up and into the tub. That way, when you're blinded and your feet slide out from under you, you won't die.

The only reason they are getting two stars from me is the front desk staff was awesome.

Rooms suck, though.

I would have rated the hotel higher if the restaurant inside it was a more pleasant experience.  The rooms are nice and clean.  The staff (with the exception of the kitchen) are nice and accommodating.   The restaurant is horrible, so called chef, who does not know what quality food is.  We went to the hotel this past weekend and wanted to order a small snack to take up to our room.  I ordered the chicken noodle soup and my friend ordered the Frito pie.  I also decided to order the cheese plate for later.  When we got our food and headed back to the hotel room, I opened the bag and noticed that my soup had macaroni noodles and not egg noodles like the menu said.  When I went down to complain, they said that that's how they always do it and the menu was wrong (they also said that the ad for the restaurant in the elevator displaying short rib Frito pie was wrong as well).  I asked for a refund for the Frito pie and the soup, since I wanted to eat with my friend.  We ended up getting James Coney Island which was on the same block.  Later that night, when I opened up the cheese plate, it consisted of cubed cheddar and parmesan (with rind still on) and 4 slices of what looked like rolled cheap mozzarella and old prosciutto that they bought from a Walmart.

So far I am very impressed with the entire experience of staying in this hotel!
My first day here in Houston and I'm feeling a bit of the culture shock coming from Canada. I come in and is warmly greeted by the staff members at the reception desk. I had a bit of a fiasco with my booking from my company but it was taken care of by the staff who dealt the situation with a smile. Talk about helpful and friendly!
Calling front desk for any help was great! They took my calls got me any information I needed fast and efficiently.
I left for work and came back to a nice clean room, the hotel staff is very impressive.
I am just starting my 2 week stay and I am enjoying the hotel accommodations immensely.
Being away from home and having to stay in a great hotel really helps calm the nerves.
I recommend staying here because I will definitely be back.

I was impressed how good the hotel rooms are for the price we paid. So good, nice and clean. They served a little snack at dinner time (5-7) and it was awesome. Louis was the person who was serving it and he was so nice and cool!!! Nice hotel and nice staff! 5 stars!
