I always stay here when in Houston.
There is nothing that i can think of that they could improve upon.


I travel all the time and stay in hotels all over the country and this is as good as any and less expensive than most.

P.S. they just did a remodel that's pretty darned nice.

Great hotel! The staff is very pleasant and helpful. The complimentary breakfast is good: oatmeal, scrambled and boiled eggs, bacon, yogurts, biscuits, coffee 24 hrs a day.
My room was very clean and roomy. The front desk called after I checked in to make sure the room was up to my standards. I've never had that happen before, so that was nice.
It is also in a convenient location close to Hobby Airport and within a 15 minute drive from University of Houston.
I would recommend this hotel to friends and would stay here again.

I've stayed here a number of times on business and always had a good experience. This location is true to the SpringHill brand, modern decor, nice amenities, food value. The staff here is also very friendly. The location is right next to the airport, but it's not too loud. The pool is nice and usually quiet. Oh, and like all the SpringHills, they have Chupa Chups at the front desk. Can't beat that!

The room was just OK.
It may have been clean but it didn't feel or smell like it.
Partially due to the AC leaking a gallon of water on to the floor over night.

I probably will not return.
Also, there are NO decent eateries anywhere close.

Perhaps I just got "lucky" and got the careless desk clerk, but the check-in was less than stellar. Although the room was clean and comfortable, I can only give it 2 stars based on service.

I made reservations in advance for a one night, pre-flight stay at the Houston Hobby Springhill. I reserved two rooms, on for myself and one for my business associate. When we checked in and gave our names, we were given one room key. I indicated to the desk clerk that I had two separate reservations under my name. She insisted that we were both in the same room. I told her I had two confirmation numbers, but she still insisted that we both were in the same room. She continued to argue and it was only after 10 minutes that I convinced her to look up the second number to locate my second reservation.

A word to management: Please better train your front desk staff. Instead of just going by what she saw on her screen when she looked up my name, she should have just looked up my confirmation numbers to begin with. Very unprofessional, and I could not recommend this hotel to business travelers.

The staff was very kind and very helpful.
The internet was easy to access and quick.
The room was clean and nice. The walls were a little thin as I could hear people walking down the hallway, but not so much that it kept me up or anything.
The first room I was in had a weird red stain near the drain off the tub. I asked to switch to a new room and the woman at the front desk said she knew which room I must be in because others had issued the same complaint. She said it was hair dye, and that she had another room she would be happy to switch me to for free.
The shuttle to and from the airport comes and goes whenever you request it and they are prompt and kind.
The complementary breakfast was actually have quite good and full! Cereal, fresh fruit, eggs, biscuits and gravy, orange and apple juice, yogurt... The eggs were a little bland, but all else was good.

Overall, not a Ritz Carlton but I have no complaints (besides the word stain and insipid eggs).

Standard area hotel at the standard area price, but here you might get the same great deal of having someone break in to your vehicle. Two people in our group had their vehicles robbed here. Both were in the parking lot right outside of the lobby, and under lights. Too bad both those spots are apparently "areas not covered" by the supposedly operable camera system. Maybe they'd be able to see out of the lobby to their non-secure lot.... Oh no, there's that hotel van blocking the view... Don't wanna move that and make the driver walk a few extra steps.

Five stars to corporate Marriott for essentially forcing this hotel's "leadership team" to contact me with a 'resolution'. Too bad that resolution was literally "we're sorry". Oh, the day manager did pony up one free night's worth of points. That's a fair trade for a $3k loss and a two week insurance hassle and loss of use - as if I'd ever come back for a free night to a place that won't even acknowledge their security problem or make any changes to address them. And that "leadership team"? Don't expect them to get back to you on a weekend - why would a hotel need some decision makers around on a weekend anyway? Who stays in a hotel on weekends right?

I stay in H-Town several weekends every year, and have never had a security issue before, but this hotel was quick to point out that it's "just Houston" that stuff happens here.

Beware. There's a free night's stay for area thieves, every night, on this hotel's property.,.. and the management has ZERO interest in doing anything about it.

I would have given it 3 stars but the location of the hotel was undesirable. We felt unsafe and concerned. Even though the hotel was clean and the staff was wonderful, it did not make up for feeling unsafe. It's just not a great neighborhood.

A very nice place. Big comfortable rooms and beds. Clean rooms with mini kitchenettes ready and perfect for the weary traveler that wants to just relax and dine in. Quiet environment and nice respectful staff. We had a late checkout ( 1 PM ) and missed the little breakfast ( 6 - 9 AM ) but there was still coffee available even then. If you really need a snack there is a nice selection next to the front desk. Interesting abstract art too.

Have stayed here many times for business. Staff is always polite and attentive. Really like the staff that work the breakfast area in the morning.
Yes, it's not the best part of town. No, I would not go strolling about at night. But the the parking lot is well let. There are plenty of security cameras. I have never felt unsafe for me or my car.
