Very nice place to stay. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nothing fancy but a good selection of food and the lounge area is bright and open. There are 2 computers in the business area that can be used by guests.

The price was great: $90 a night, with a $20 gift card to Target in return. Everything else was too. I got a modern, stylish room, very spacious and comfortable, with a nice L-shaped sofa and plush, comfortable beds with quality linens: this is a hotel I'll look for again and again. The only problem I sensed was in the layout of the room: the TV was located off-line from the beds and sofa, making it difficult to watch. I didn't watch TV, but I imagine those interested in the television would find this to be problematic.

Cannot find a better hotel on the JFK strip. This hotel is new, clean, and very modern. Room had iPhone radio/alarm dock, small sectional, good sized desk, 32" flat screen, AC wAs ice cold, adjustable reading lamps on both sides of bed, shower had good water  pressure and it was nice to have the front facing nozzles. Small bar in the lobby, SALT WATER POOL, and decent gym.  Best part? Affordable...Look no further when shopping for hotel on the JFK strip.

Probably one of the better "airport hotels" that I have stayed at.  Front desk staff is friendly and helpful.  They pointed us to good places to eat and set us up with shuttle service to our venue.  Rooms are extremely spacious.  It's like a studio, with a bedroom and a living room separated by a nice office desk.  Nice flat screen LCD with HD and HBO.  Free Wifi in the rooms!  Free hot breakfast (ie eggs, sausage, waffles)! Actually, the best free breakfast I've had at a hotel.  Gym treadmills have TVs! Thanks Marriott.  If all your hotels were like this, I would book you all the time.

Not usually a Marriott guest, but the rooms are very nice and so far the service has been great. I would recommend to anyone

Very nice, new hotel, that is very close to the airport (5 min ride on shuttle van). Complimentary continental breakfast and bar area with tv which I ate at for dinner (the hamburger was very good). My room only had a shower, which wasn't a big deal but could be a problem for some.
I would recommend this hotel as an excellent stop for the business traveler.

So convenient!  So neat and clean.  The design of the rooms was especially nice traveling with teens.  Plan to stay here every time I pass this way.

Clean, classy, comfortable, great free breakfast, easy parking, and super convenient location to IAH.  It's not really close to any interesting restaurants or Houston sights, but it's right off of the freeway and cool parts of town are only about 20 minutes away. Amazing customer service from Paula L. at the front desk--ask for her and she will help you with anything!

Stayed here for one night on New Years Eve the night before we took a cruise out of Galveston. We were promptly picked up from the airport by a friendly driver. The hotel is minutes away from the airport so we arrived to the hotel really fast.

Check in was a breeze! We had called from the airport to find out where to catch the shuttle so when we got to the hotel, the awesome front desk person already had our keys ready! We really liked the room, which was extremely clean and spacious. I loved the color scheme and modern decor in the hotel. Seemed a little high end for a "Springhill" chain hotel. I was pleasantly surprised.

We ate in the restaurant/bar downstairs and although it was basically "fast food", it was really good. The bartender was really friendly and we enjoyed chatting with him while watching a football game over a couple of beers.

I used the clean and quiet gym in the morning. Had it all to myself! The breakfast was great. The breakfast attendant was so friendly. We took the shuttle back to the airport to catch our cruise bus. Again, another very friendly driver.  All in all, for the money, location, cleanliness and amazing staff, I give this hotel a huge thumbs up!!!

The best hotel next to an airport that I have ever stayed. The room was super clean and modern with the shower and toilet with its own room, each room has a sink. The staff is very friendly and cordial as if you were staying at their house. The airport shuttle runs every 30 minutes and they have 2 vans without the ridiculous wait. I stayed here on March 7 to catch my early morning flight to Cancun.

Good, clean, updated hotel and nice that you can park there and take the shuttle to the airport. Nice, clean, modern room. My only complaint was that returning to Houston, had to wait 30 min for the shuttle to arrive at the terminal, but after that, checkin was great, service was good and glad to get into the room. Breakfast included (hot and continental) as well as wifi included. Overall a good overnight stay between flights.

4 stars and special shout-out to the front desk team: they are all high energy, friendly, chatty,  pleasant and with a sense of humor.

3 stars for the property -  60s-70s décor with modern interpretation, as is currently popular and standardized throughout all Spring Hill Suites properties; but the stark  geometrical  lines of the room décor leave me indifferent to the surroundings.  The design scheme of the guest chambers would interpret nicely with a higher quality furnishings: but the budget version just leaves something lacking.

The mattress comfort is just average, the pillows are lumpy, no matter how many I tried, the blanket is flimsy - I was somewhat chilled after a very long day, and had to put another layer on, as the blanket just wasn't warm enough.

LADIES - check for the hair dryer: mine was missing, and I discovered that after the shower, checking all drawers and hooks in the entire room.  Housekeeping did bring one up, but precious morning time was lost, getting ready for customer meetings.

I was in a top floor room - and there was a constant hum of a motor literally reverberating in the walls, and, unfortunately, resonating  in my head as I laid down on the pillow.  It must have been the HVAC equipment on the roof: this was very frustrating, as I always ask for a "quiet room": so if you are looking for the same, do not stay on the 6th floor of this hotel.

On a positive note - this property has a full small bar in the lobby, with a very pleasant bartender:  if you need to unwind after a long day and have no means of getting to any outside restaurants, you are not limited to the beer selections from the convenience shop in the lobby.

This is one of the best places you could ever stay. When you have the family with you it is fantastic!   The only bad thing was the outdoor pool was supposed to have been heated. But, it was broken(the heater) so the kids were frozen, when they insisted on swimming.
Other than that it was wonderful. The rooms are very modern and very big. Fridge and micro wave in the room. All the cable channels, free internet. 2 big beds.
Then they even have free breakfast in the morning. Free parking and close to the Airport. I will stay here again for sure.

Still would stay here again no hesitation!

No security camera's or security guard's = poor security!

My tough luck as I stayed here early April and experienced a smash-n-grab on my pickup truck (smashed the side window and stole contents).  This happened mid-day, bright, sunny weather and with my truck parked within view of the front desk.

Marriott has offered no financial assistance.  Nothing. Did I mention I am lifetime platinum in their rewards program, have their credit card, etc.

Thank You,

I had to stay here on a layover and had a very nice experience.  From check in to checkout, all staff was courteous, knowledgable and polite. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well appointed.  The only downside in the room was the wall A/C unit. It was very loud and would constantly tun on and off.  Otherwise, I would recommend staying here if anyone needs a convenient place to stay in the Houston Airport area

We are staying here for 1 night before going on a Disney cruise out of Galveston tomorrow. It had the best rate and Yelp ratings of the other airport hotels, so we took a gamble.

It's a really cute, retro/art deco hotel right on hotel row minutes from IAH.  The location is actually the worst part about the hotel, because there is nothing to do here if you don't have a car (Houston is at least a 30-minute drive). Absolutely NOTHING.

We arrived at lunch time and should have eaten in the airport because there are slim pickings for dining that are within walking distance. We took the free hotel shuttle, dropped off our bags in our rooms, then started to look for food. Aside from having to navigate an enormous busy boulevard on foot, our only choices in the immediate area were: Jack-in-the-Box, Church's chicken (located in a gas station) and Taco Bell. We ventured a little further down the highway and discovered a Subway, a mediocre Mediterranean place (Alwadi, where we had lunch), Kung Food, and Gumbo Jeaux (a creole joint). That's it. Or, you can try the hotel lobby's bistro-style menu that has 4 items on it, but it opens at 5pm so we couldn't eat there for lunch.  We may try it for dinner, or see if we can grab dinner in the Sheraton or Doubletree hotel restaurants down the street.

As for SpringHill Suites itself, we have two adjoining rooms for the 6 of us, which is great. The rooms are clean and comfortable and each has a little coffee maker, fridge and microwave. There is free wifi, which I am using now to write this review, and there are enough TV stations for the kids to watch Cartoon Network in their room while I watch House Hunters International in my room.

The bathrooms are cleverly disguised as closets behind sliding doors and are actually separated into two rooms, one with toilet and sink, the other with shower and second sink. I've never seen this design before but it's cool.

I will finalize the review once we've spent the night, possibly eaten dinner in the lobby, and returned on the free shuttle back to the airport. I'm looking forward to the breakfast in the morning, which is included with the room and that looks like what Hampton Inn does for its breakfast buffet.

There would have been more for us to do if the outdoor heated pool didn't feel like a hot tub, and my kids are too young to use the fitness center. So we are pretty much resigned to watching TV, resting, and playing around in our rooms, which even though isn't that interesting or touristy, is actually relaxing in its own way.

Not only were the rooms clean and chique, but the customer service was AMAZING! The guest services treated us as special guests, very considerate of our needs. I understand now with more clarity, that it's THE PEOPLE that work there that make all the difference. The breakfast was also so amazing. I will come back here when I travel to Houston again for sure!

This is one of the best Springhill hotels I have ever stayed in. And quite frankly, the decor, amenities and comfort surpasses the quality of many other higher end Marriott properties.

I traveled to Houston for business and decided to stay close to the airport. This would cut down the commute when I flew out the next day and allow me the benefit of knowing where I was going without the use of GPS.

I booked the room about ten hours before I arrived. I had no contexts but believed the great ratings of other Yelpers. Words cannot describe how great this place is. It's spacious, super clean, contemporary and competitively priced. The room is equipped with a microwave, sink and refrigerator. The shower is separated from the toilet.  There is a desk, sofabed, plenty of lighting and an awesome showerhead. It sprays at the mid section and above your head.

I highly recommend you stay here. It is not in any way close to city life but in many respects, worth the drive.

Stayed here on a layover at IAH on the way to MCO. I had ZERO expectations, as it was a free room that I cashed in a few marriott elite points to book.

I know Houston is full of cheap, clean airport hotels, but this was well beyond my expectations for the price. It was new, modern, clean and comfortable. Free breakfast very good. Little market in the lobby had all the essentials. Staff was friendly and attentive. Room was spacious and had all of the conveniences you'd expect at a business suite hotel. I never considered staying at a SpringHill Suites before but I'd stay at one again if they're all like this!

My wife and I booked SpringHill Suites Houston Hotel as a part of a Flight Centre deal for a long weekend in Houston, and as a first-timer in Houston, I have to say that I was impressed. The location is fantastic. The lobby is opulent and impressive, and our King room on the 11th floor was very clean and tidy. Yes, there is a bit of peeling wallpaper. Yes, some of the fixtures are a bit dated but you are in Houston! Why are you spending so much time in your room in the first place? Go explore the city! :)

Very nice hotel!  Everyone from the staff who checked us in to the gentleman that drove us to the airport was EXCELLENT.

The room was clean and very nice.... I liked how they had the shower and sink in one room and then the toilet and a sink in another room.

The room offered a mini fridge and microwave...

Bed was comfortable.

Price was very reasonable.

We had a snack and a few drinks at the bar.  The bartender was wonderful....

The hotel offers an outdoor pool and free WIFI.  Could you ask for more?

This is a very utilitarian hotel. In price. In location. In amenities.

I kid you not when I say I felt like I was in a den of Latvian maffia thugs when I was there....and than I found out that a cruise ship had hired a bunch of eastern European workers to redo one of their ships out of the port.

The restaurant is really bad. Think microwaved chicken wings,   nachos, and hamburgers....yep it is all pre made and pre bad. And oh you want to go out and dine.....fagahdabahdit!...nada

The free breafast was meh...except for the make your own waffle in the shape of texas (yeah try one of those for hawaii!).

Price to quality to convenience.....can not be beat.

I, like John H., was stuck overnight in Houston and told the taxi to keep going when we pulled up to the dump that United intended to put me and my 2 small children up in. I booked this hotel instead from the taxi, and what a breath of fresh air when we arrived. The staff was super friendly, the hotel was pristine, and the rooms were beautiful. After two days in the airport, I felt like I could finally relax. The beds and shower were luxurious compared to other hotels at the same price, and the couch pulled out, which was nice having two kids who didn't want to share a bed. There is a bar that serves food, but a variety of restaurants are in walking distance. The breakfast was fresh (real eggs!), and there was enough variety for all of us to fill up before heading to the airport. We were cheerfully greeting by the hotel manager and the kids were given suckers. This experienxe was exactly what I needed after two long days full of travel woes. I'm attempting to get reimbursed by the airline, but even so, the cost was totally worth it, if not a bargain.

I had a business trip planned for Houston & since there are a slew of hotels by the Houston airport, I asked our HR Mgr for suggestions.  She recommended Springhill Suites, which is a Marriott brand.  Because my husband & I had a horrible experience at a Marriott hotel near Miami back in 2010, I try to avoid them.   But I trusted our HR Mgr for her input.

From the minute I walked in, the front desk staff was so friendly & sincere.  They were not there to confirm my arrival & hand me key cards, they actually carried a conversation with me.   They explained that they offer a free breakfast at 6am & showed me where the station would be set up each morning.

When I entered my hotel room, I was pleased with the layout.   As I walked through the room, I noticed more amenities that "really" impressed me.

* Free wireless without a password
* Coffee/Tea Maker with refrigerator
* Desk for your laptop & a fancy chair (looked like a Herman Miller)
* The table lamp on one night stand had electrical outlets (which allowed me to charge my iPhone over night)
* Bathroom was separated (Toilet & small sink, then large shower with large vanity sink)
* The shower also had horizontal shower heads --- Wow!!!
* By the other night stand, there was a iHome with a clock
* The bed was soooooooo comfortable!!!!!!
* Their lobby was pretty stylish with cool furniture
* Since I got sick before my business trip, I asked them if they had individual medication that I can purchase.  They had a market center with snacks, toiletries, medicine, etc.  That mini store was very convenient.
* Their breakfast offered everything --- hot oatmeal with the fixings, cereal, bagels, muffins, eggs, sausage, assorted fruit & drinks.

But I just really could not believe how every staff member was friendly & engaged in conversation.  I will recommend this place to anyone & I would definitely come back again.

I would really like to give this place a higher rating.

Stayed here twice this month. Both times the van service was slow. The second time taking 42 minutes from my first call to pickup. That's unacceptable for an airport hotel approximately 7 minutes away.

On my second visit I woke up to ants crawling all over the bathroom.

Both visits the front desk staff has been on it!!!! Great staff! And the rooms look updated and are comfortable

This hotel really needs to take a look at their van service. A major expectation of an airport hotel is quick reliable shuttle service.

The hotel shuttle picked us up from the airport soon after our arrival.  The lobby/waiting area is nicely designed and feels inviting.  The staff was pleasant and informative.  The rooms are spacious and clean with modern decor.  We were able to enjoy a dip in the pool and drinks in the lounge during our stay.  Breakfast the next morning was awesome, they have a waffle maker that is the shape of Texas!

This hotel really has it in hand.  I only had the pleasure of one night ar this property but I will definitely be back.

The team is super friendly. They are very greeting and gracious.  They really make you feel welcome and are a model of efficiency.

The room...OMG!  I loved the decoration and layout.  Everything is bright and looks clean.  The room was super clean too.  I loved the modern style and not one amenity is overlooked.  The highlight was the shower room!  It featured a conventional shower with two body jets.  Pure heaven!

The room also features many working surfaces and outlets.  A lack of outlets is always a complaint for me but they have got it right!

Overall, this is a solid five stars among similarly priced competition.  I highly recommend this property.

Rooms are clean and comfy rooms overlook airport overflow parking lot. 5 minutes from airport. Not many good restaurants near by but enough to get you thru for a night

Under $119 per night

Stuck in Houston overnight thanks to awesome United Airlines.  Didn't want to stay in the crappy hotel they set up for us.  Found this hotel via yelp.

Pros: Front desk staff were super friendly.  Driver of the van was a nice guy.  Kitchen staff were nice enough to make us food even after they closed.  Hotel room was clean and spacious.  Bathroom(s) were clean.   Van goes to airport every 30 min in the morning.  Got to the airport in 10 minutes when we booked the room.

Con: None.  Staff went over and beyond and the hotel is CLEAN.  I'd stay here again.
