Excellent place to stay in Green River.  I've stayed at several hotels here, many of which are ok, but after staying here I won't stay anywhere else.  I'm not normally much of a breakfast person when I'm traveling, but the breakfast here is great.  Ask for a room facing the river.

I don't normally write reviews on hotels, but this place is a great place to stay if you're heading between Denver and the West through Utah.  Green River is a tiny little town of about 1100 people.  Everyone here is so friendly.  I'm typing this right now at the local library.

But this review isn't about the town, it's about the hotel.  The hotel is located right next to the Green River and many rooms have a view of the river.  When I arrived (Jan 13) it was still decorated with sparkling Christmas lights which made it attractive in the darkness of the drive.  This place is sparkling-clean with what I would describe as an older-style dixie-land decor.  It is very comfortable.

The best part of the stay is the hot breakfast included in the price.  You can order almost anything and they will cook it for you.  Eggs, pancakes, french toast.  When I asked if I could only choose one, they said get anything you want!  There was fresh fruit, homemade cinnamon rolls, and even biscotti.

When I arrived the woman was stern but friendly.  She let me know a couple of times that there was no smoking or pets, and asked if that was okay for me.  It was since I don't smoke much these days and was travelling by myself.

Great place to stay if you are passing through Utah.

What a wonderful place to stay in Green River. The rooms are large and beds comfy (they have 5 pillows on each bed!) Smoke Free which is a major bonus. The made to eat FREE breakfast is hot and delicious. Had omelettes and french toast. Very kind and friendly staff. We will go again next time we are in town

Have also stayed at others (H.I.Expr) and Knights Inn which are just decent. This place is just amazing conpared to those. It's very nicely decorated, the rooms are AMAZINGLY spacious (esp. the King), and the view overlooking the river is a real treat. The only two negatives are the light switch being outside the bathroom and the mosquitos (river) at the pool which of course isn't easy for them to control.

Annoying light switch outside bathroom. Two sinks, inside and outside bathroom wall. Odd that entrance to building with rooms is separate to lobby but quite close.
