We had a very nice room - it was cramped with a big bed and sofa lounge area, but was very clean, luxurious and cozy. The bathtub was huge and the bathroom in general was very nice. The front desk guy was friendly and there was plenty of parking out front. The downsides were that the room could be part of a suite, and we could hear EVERYTHING through the door into the other half (luckily our neighbors were quiet). Also, we had one window which opened onto an air shaft, so it felt a bit like being in a cave. But the price was good for the level of luxury, and the location was convenient  for those passing through (close to the freeway, next door to lots of stores and restaurants), though a bit of a drive to downtown.

On my second visit to Park City I stayed here at Newpark Resort.  It's somewhat of a drive from Park City Resort- maybe 15 mins.  It's really close to The Canyons though and right across from the Olympic Park.

We had a great room - One-bedroom luxury suite.  As this was just being built last year it still has that new feel, which I like.  The living room area and the kitchenette is all in one room.  There's a gas fireplace with a flat-screen tv over it which swivels so you can watch from the hot tub on the balcony outside!  How awesome!  The hot tub on our private balcony was a really nice feature and it was always hot.  There were stainless steel appliances - french door fridge, microwave/convection oven & dishwasher.  Housekeeping ran the dishwasher and put the dishes back on the shelves everyday and restocked coffee and condiments.  Everything you need to cook is there.  The sleeper couch is leather and came with a down comforter.  The separate bedroom had a really cozy bed with another flat-screen TV.  No dresser though, hmm...so I used the drawers under the bed, kinda weird but whatever.  Stackable washer/dryer in the closet and heated floors in the bathroom (great plus).  Dual sinks in the bathroom with a deep soaking tub and roomy shower.  Overall felt pretty luxurious to me.  AND we are in the middle of a large shopping center so you don't need to go far to eat, buy groceries or shop.  There's a Smiths Grocery and a Whole Foods. I would definitely come back!

Staying here just for the night. Nice clean and seems pretty new. Beds are super soft. I have the standard room and it has no view at all.... Only real complaint is the front desk guy at check-in was suuuper sloooow.

This is from a vacay back in Feb 11, so a little delayed, but just in time for ski season.
We booked our stay way in advance, and without notification started having money taken out of our account about a month before arriving - which I found out after calling was "normal". The hotel location was super easy to get to from SLC, and was very convenient to all the ski resorts, lots of great restaurants, and downtown Park City, but wasn't all tied up in the hustle and bustle of downtown. The hotel itself was gorgeous. When we walked to our room we were a little surprised...the room was sooo small! The bed is right there when you walk in the door which is a little odd. There was a huge vent (the only one in the room!) right above the bed that blasted us in the face as we tried to sleep. If we kept it on it smothered us, if we turned it off it got hot...no win. The bed linens were great, but the bed was soo high! Normally that would be awesome, but who wants to jump into a high bed after shredding slopes all day? Also, it would have been really helpful to have a footboard - the very comfy comforter would slide right off the end of the bed and we had to wrestle to get it back up throughout the night. Needless to say, we didn't sleep well the entire time here. The bathroom was REALLY nice. We LOVED the heated floors, the super soft fluffy towels, the huge bathtub and the fact that the water was instantly warm when you turned it on. The fireplace in the room was great for warming up after being on the mountains all day, but did make an annoying ticking sound while it was on. The couch/sitting area was comfy and good for curling up with a cup of hot tea. We also really liked having the "kitchenette" area (small fridge, silverware, dishes, coffee maker), but it sucked not having a microwave. The maid service was hit or miss...by day 5 the floor had yet to be vacuumed, the linens still hadn't been changed, and despite throwing the blanket on the floor to be exchanged (because it had someone else's hair in it - gross!) it was neatly folded back up and placed back on the couch....grrrr! Beware during busy times...we did have neighbors for a few days and the sound barriers between the rooms are almost non-existent - we could hear everything! We put clothes at the bottom of the doors to muffle some of the sounds. If you plan on doing laundry prepare to spend! It's $4 a load (wash and dry) and $2.50 a load for soap/dryer sheets! Storage space is tight in the regular rooms if you're here to ski...not much room to put your luggage AND your ski gear.
All in all, it was a nice stay but I wish they would have paid attention to some of the smaller details (like a footboard!). We don't believe we will stay at this hotel again, but I would send someone here if I knew their tastes and thought they wouldn't mind the small deficiencies or would splurge a little more for the bigger suites/townhouses.

Recently decided to break our usual Colorado routine and do spring skiing in utah.

After searching for many hours, we stumbled upon the newpark resort.

For the price, this was one of the better places to be found in park city.  Our room (a suite) had decent sized bedroom, common room with pullout couch (we fit 4 people easily), a small but usable and stocked kitchen (complete with pod coffee machine),   and a private jacuzzi.  Everything was clean and fairly modern.

The location was decent for the money.  The hotel was on the outskirts of town near the grocery stores (convenient for kitchen).  It was on the bus route which took approx 15 min to get to canyons and 30 min to PCMR.  We drove to deer valley because it required a bus change.

All in all this was a great value for the money.

I stayed here a few years ago for a job interview nearby.  Loved the hotel  -the room was very nice.  It is kind of in a strip mall location, so you are not on the slopes, but Park City seems relatively small that getting to the slopes would not be a problem.

Stayed here for a weekend snowboarding adventure.

Rooms were really nice and clean.
You get a kitchen and your own jacuzzi! Amazing! Juke sessions in winter are the best!

    Self parking is easy.

Not too far away from the slopes.

    Right next to the freeway.

Price is a little high, but lower than most of the high-end places next to the Ski Resorts.

LOVED loved loved Newpark Resort! Stayed here for a long weekend getaway for some snowboarding and fun with the girls.

The lobby was very inviting with two fireplaces and lots of comfy couches to relax on. Upstairs on the second floor was this really cool lounge with a fire pit, flat screen tv, plenty of seating, and lots of windows to enjoy the snowy scenery.

We stayed in a Luxury one bedroom king suite. There was plenty of room for storage with two closets in the hallway, one closet in the bedroom, and drawers under the bed. We loved that there was a fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, and even a washer and dryer. Our room had a covered balcony, which was really nice every night as we enjoyed the personal hot tub.

Downstairs the heated pool, steam room, sauna, and hot tub came in handy after our long day of snowboarding.

Oh, and don't bother stocking up on water like we did. We didn't realize that the KitchenAid refrigerator came equipped with a filtered water dispenser! Hopefully housekeeping enjoyed all the bottled water we left behind. I suppose it was the least we could do since they not only straightened up our room every day, but also cleaned all our dirty dishes.

Newpark Resort has everything you need within walking distance, including a Best Buy, TJ Maxx, Cost Plus, Bed Bath & Beyond, Whole Foods, Smiths, bank, restaurants, and more... On the ground level of the hotel there were more restaurants (including Kneader's- see separate review), Massage Envy (which I don't particularly care for, but you may), a gear shop which actually had an entrance from within the hotel, and others...

One other thing about the room...make sure you've got the heat on before you go to bed. We made the mistake of freezing our a$$es off the first night. Lesson learned!

Park City has free public transportation and the bus stop is right outside the hotel. It was a pretty quick trip for us to The Canyons resort as well as our evening outings to Main Street.

We all enjoyed our stay and will definitely be making Newpark Resort a tradition. Can't wait til the next visit!!

    Loved our stay at Newpark!
We stayed here during the last weekend of Sundance Film Festival. It was not very crowded or busy - and the front desk people were attentive to always answering all of my many questions.
The hotel is in the outskirts of downtown Park City (where Main St & Park City Resort are located). It is about a 10 min drive and 15-30 min free bus ride to get there. However, aside from not being walkable to downtown PC - the hotel accommodations are great and everything was in good condition. There are near by grocery stores, restaurants, massage envy, best buy, Starbucks, etc. all walkable - also if you get a rental car, parking is FREE. Internet is FREE.
We got the 1 bed suite - All 1 bed suites and above come with a HOT TUB on your balcony. Huge PLUS for that. Great bathroom with tub & shower, and heavenly bed. Appliances and kitchenware all in great condition- with a fire place as well.
Newpark is a great affordable lodging option - close to Canyons Resort and Outlet Mall.
We have no complaints except for the fire alarm going off due to a power outage - which was out of their control - but it was a little annoying in the middle of the night. They did apologize with a letter the next morning at our door - and that the wi-fi would be down for a few more hours - which I appreciate the communication given on that. I wouldn't hesitate to book another stay here again!

This review is based on an evening visit to the Newpark hotel limited to a social event held in the  upstairs ballroom.

Self-parked in the free parking lot  facing the front of the hotel. The largest of the main front doors are enormous and very heavy.  Inviting well-lit modern lobby.  The main desk staff were friendly and attentive.  The lobby area provides plenty of seating to lounge around.

Both the interior and exterior had a clean, modern feel without being starbucky or cold. And none of that old-school Park City dark wood and antlers.  It had that casual luxury that only comes with every square inch being given attention to detail.  As an example, the bathroom off the lobby had a wood shelf with coathooks near the door and extra wall-mounted ambient lighting near its beautiful marble sinks. Also worth noting is that the bathroom was so clean that I felt like I was the very first person to ever use it.

From the lobby, walked up a wide staircase that is made for photo-ops. From the second floor, the large ballroom was to the left.  The ballroom was bathed in warm ambient lighting that made everyone's eyes twinkle and smiles sparkle. The carpet was lush and tasteful. The acoustics of the room combined with a high end built-in sound system created a perfect music backdrop for all the cocktail conversations.

Wedding receptions would do well here.

I stayed here recently for my one year anniversary in one of the luxury suites, and I will say that this was probably just as nice as when I stayed at the Encore in Las Vegas, if not more.

The suite was absolutely perfect.  The bathroom was large with his and her sinks, a separate standing shower and a massive tub. There's plenty of closet space and a washer and dryer, which would be perfect for those of you who partake in winter activities and want to stay the night in PC.  The full kitchen really is stocked with everything you need (except for an actual oven), but honestly with all of the great food options available, you probably won't be using the kitchen for very much.  The bedding is so comfortable and has mastered the knack of staying warm while still being cool to the touch.  Add the fireplace, the lounging area, and a private patio with a hot tub, and there really isn't much more to ask for.

The resort services the hot tub in between every visit, and they have it ready and waiting for you the moment you arrive.  And after a long day, there is nothing more perfect than to soak in a hot tub.

Overall, I think that Newpark is really well thought out.  The amenities they provide are top notch, and they focus on every single detail in their hotel guides, so every question you would have, is already answered in the book they give you.  But if you do find that you have a question, the front desk has some of the friendliest people I've ever encountered in a hotel.  For some reason, I don't get the greatest of luck whenever I deal with the service industry, but I just had a perfect experience here.

I highly recommend the Newpark resort, while it may not be right off Main St., it is a very short drive, or just a quick bus ride down.  At least I think, but the front desk would be happy to tell you.

Mostly good, but some "bad" things to consider before booking this place.

THE GOOD: I will make this short and sweet. The room was fantastic.  We booked the large suite with a hot tub on the balcony with some nice mountain views.  Room was beautiful, enormous, and spotless.  Includes full kitchen, fireplace, and a stunning bathroom with jacuzzi tub and walk in glass shower.

BEWARE #1: The rooms overlook a common courtyard area which is packed with restaurants that all have outdoor seating.  Sitting on the balcony, or even having the door open sounded like a mix of a thriving playground, mixed with a cafeteria, mixed with several different music venues.  Lots of kids playing directly outside the room, and I don't mean 5 kids, I mean 25-30 kids playing, skateboarding, scootering, and soccer playing all within 200 feet of the balcony.  There is NO outdoor privacy.

BEWARE #2:  The balconies are all right next to each other, with only a three-foot wall separating you from the neighbors.  You can easily walk to your balcony and look directly into their room, all the way to the bed... and they can do the same to you.  There is ZERO privacy for using the hot tub outdoors.  Think of being in a jacuzzi tub with the door open, and right next to you (literally 15 feet away) there is another couple (or kids) in a jacuzzi tub with the door open.  Furthermore, everyone at the restaurants below are able to directly see the entire balcony (and into the room) since there is nothing but that three-foot wall facing that direction as well. Unless you wear a bathing suit in the tub, I think this is uncomfortable and very unromantic.

BOTTOM LINE:  The building is beautiful, the rooms are outstanding, and the setting is very nice.  However, I personally will not stay there again as I believe there are other, better, options when looking for a couples getaway.  If it's a family vacation then this may be fine.

The rooms were wonderfully appointed with great character, wood beam ceilings. The front desk person adjusted our rates to the block rates, which was above and beyond! Would DEFINITELY stay again. We didn't check out any of the activities, but there was a booking agency for rafting, etc adventures right in the lobby

I have stayed in Park City many times, and always love coming to Newpark. It's great for families and for couples seeking a private getaway. There's a heated indoor and outdoor pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and private jacuzzi on your own balcony. It's right in the center of many restaurants, a movie theater and shopping, so after a long day of skiing or hiking (depending on the season) you can just come "home" and do what you want in the evening. There's a Park City bus stop right outside the hotel, so you can just hop on that and never even need to deal with parking. The beds are extremely comfortable, and having a miniature kitchen in the rooms makes cooking a quick meal or snack a breeze.

It is nice to be in walking distance of bowling, shopping and a movie theater! Definitely a perfect place to enjoy a nice vacation with kids or kid free!

Stayed here this weekend for a bevy of events in the Park City area. The hotel located close to many shops and easy access to the interstate. The staff is super helpful. The rooms are clean and quite nice...though a bit small. Although the bathroom with the oversized tub is amazing. The door to the bathroom and the door to the closet to the closet in the bathroom are not well planned / designed. No view in room 316B but I was not here for the view. Overall, very nice hotel.

Wow! What a great hotel.  Quiet, clean and rooms filled with careful touches and detailing, such as heated floors, lodge-y accents on doors and cabinets and a fireplace with a timer.  This was such a great home away from home after a day on the slopes or out in the snow.  No smoking, so comfortable, I couldn't recommend this hotel more.

This is a nice hotel. If I were staying here for a ski trip, this hotel and the room we had would have been ideal. The rooms are spacious and accommodating. It is the type of room that you can spend some time in without feeling the need to leave. The hot tub on the balcony was a very nice perk. I was also able to use the full length lap pool. I loved it! The problem with this hotel is that they don't have any room service. You have to order from a local place and have it delivered by them. This place is more of a do it yourself place. Not really your pampering type of hotel. Overall, I'm satisfied with my stay.

Stayed out in Park City because there were no rooms to be had in SLC (during a busy trade show).

I wasn't sure what to expect and initially wasn't thrilled about the drive from PC to SLC. However, upon seeing the location and hotel, I was happy to be away from SLC and all the craziness that goes on with this particular trade show.

Had a single room....which looked like a mini-log cabin. I was disappointed that my view was only of the rooms across the way but was happy that I could open the window for fresh air.

Pros: best hotel bed I've ever slept on. Loved the location - easy to walk to shopping/food. Great wi-fi. HUGE tub.  In room fireplace that you can turn on whenever you want. Quiet. Beautiful location. Had a fridge and separate sink area with plates/dishes/coffee maker.

Cons:  bed and tub were a tad hard to get into for a person with short legs. :)  Got a decent bruise on my leg trying to maneuver the shower but that's a fault of genetics, not the hotel.

Would stay here again over the convenience of being in SLC.

We stayed here for our anniversary and we were blown away by the luxury suite. Plenty of room to sleep 4, hot tub on the balcony, large sunk in tub, walkin shower, full kitchen, fireplace  and the beds are so comfortable you literally could sleep all day.

Great view of the Wasatch mountains, walking distance to great restaurant, cafes and shopping center.

This is my second time staying here and I have been very pleased both times. We always get a room with a private jacuzi, after a long day on the slopes it can't be beat! The separate bath tub and walk in shower is an added bonus. The staff were all very nice and helpful and there is a free shuttle stop into downtown park city right outside the door. Very reasonably priced as well.

We stayed here for our recent ski trip and overall, the experience was great. I wish I could give 5 stars for service and 4 stars for accomodations, only because the basic guest rooms are very small, and the walls are extremely thin. No fault of the hotel and staff however, obviously a fail on the developer's side.  In any case, I would stay here again as it was very clean, with great service from the staff and an excellent location.

I expected too much. The high Tripadvisor, Hotels.com , and Expedia ratings led me to believe that Newpark was going to be amazing and it fell short of those expectations.

Check-in: We arrived around noon and asked if it was possible to check in early. Nope, we were told that they would call if any rooms were available before 4pm. I called back around 3pm and was told that there were still no rooms. It's hard for me to believe that NOTHING was available until exactly 4pm. When we did return at 4pm, the room was ready and we were tired.

Room: Wow, talk about a weird room setup. I get it - the Deluxe Room (1 queen+sofabed) is meant to connect with the Luxury Suite (1 bedroom suite with king bed and sofabed). What ended up happening is that the Deluxe Room is anything but deluxe. The room is one of the smallest hotel rooms I've ever been in. The bed is super high and hard to get into because the only storage in the whole room is under the bed. The closet is in the bathroom and the closet door cannot be opened at the same time as the bathroom door. And there is only 1 tiny window and you can't even pull up the blinds because you'd be staring into someone else's tiny room if you did.

This is easily one of my favorite hotels to stay in.  We decided to come up to Park City for a weekend getaway.  While looking for hotels we noticed that Newpark had hot tubs on the balconies.  That was too good to pass up.

With 4 people staying 1 night and 6 staying the 2nd night, we felt that the 2 bed luxury suite gave us all plenty of room.  The beds were huge, the hot tub was perfect (get a higher floor room if you can though, the views from the 2nd floor we were on weren't great), the location was great as well.  The rooms were clean, a large fridge, oven/microwave, and dish washer were all included in the room.  The fireplace was a nice touch as well, especially for the cold mornings.  There are tons of dishes and pots and pans for you to use if you would like.

The location was awesome.  We ate at the Kneaders right under our room for both breakfasts.  We had dinner at Maxwells which was also under the hotel.  Plenty of restaurants and shops are near by and Main Street is a couple minutes away as well.  We actually spent most of our time at the hotel and the places around the hotel rather than the main part of Park City.  There is certainly a lot to do here, with more coming on the way.

A couple things on the rooms...the main bathroom has a GIANT bath tub.  I decided to make a giant bubble bath in it, which involved throwing in an entire thing of bubble bath that I picked up.  That's the plus of the bathroom.  The weird thing is the GIANT (probably 2 feet by 8 feet) window in the living room/kitchen that looks down into the bathroom.  I have no idea why a window here exists; we guessed for natural light.  It's weird though.  If you stand on the couch you can look directly into the bathroom and whatever is going on in there.  It made for some good laughs, but yeah it was weird.  I felt I could never fully feel comfortable in that bathroom and ended up just taking my bubble bath in my swim suit with the door open.

We noticed a promotion for the weekend we were staying that allowed us to get a 2 bed luxury suite that sleeps 8 for ~$400 for 2 nights.  Not $400 a night, $400 altogether.  A great price for an awesome room an an awesome location.  It was perfect for a weekend getaway and we plan on going back.
