    Oh NO! Ohhhhh No....

Let me start with the positive, the staff was very nice and helpful and seemed flexible. We paid for our room and headed over around the back of the facility along a poorly lit dirt road with some reservations. We're not especially picky but the room had simply not been made, and the door was left unlocked. Same situation with the next room, and then the next. After finally being lead to a clean room we discovered the SAME ROOM KEYS WORK ON MULTIPLE ROOMS!

The clean room was a reasonable no-frills kind of place to stay near Mt. Rainier for a decent rate but I question how safe it would be to stay here and how well run the establishment is. It pains me to write this because the staff was so helpful, friendly, and genuine. Honestly though I couldn't let a friend stay here.

Friendly, small town atmosphere. Food is good. It's basic diner food and the prices are reasonable.

If you come to Mt. Rainier expecting a ton of amenities, you are in the wrong area. Please scoot to a resort mountain town instead.

This place had all we needed--a cheap place to sleep and get breakfast after a day of hiking that allows dogs. Our room was locked and cleaned when we arrived, and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. We arrived in town earlier than planned and were bored out of our minds--the staff lent us some books and magazines to take to our room. The free wifi was great also.

Cons: I wish the room had a fridge to put things like leftovers/water bottles in. Also, I could have done without the spiders in the shower--thank god I don't have a phobia--but I would still recommend this place to a friend--albeit a friend who goes for hiking and traveling with their dogs.

As for the food, we only got breakfast, which was good, but as another person said, basic diner food.
