I agree with Sam H. on everything about this hotel.  I will not stay anywhere but here.  It's very relaxing and close to everything.

Stayed at the Bavarian Lodge for two days, one night. Arrived with four of my bestest girlfriends and first of all it was very easy to find once you get to Leavenworth. The check in process seemed simple enough as it only took my friend a few minutes. Lots of outdoor parking included with your hotel stay. The lobby was very cozy with a nice fire place and what looked like handmade furniture and cuddly bears decorated the room.  The hotel room was perfectly equiped with two queen sized beds, lounge chair with ottoman, good sized tv with cable, dresser, lots of lighting, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, closet and large window overlooking the swimming pool and parking.  The linens were decorated with Bavarian style designs and another teddy bear greated us when we walked in.  Bathroom was a good size and seemed very new and updated.  The best parts of the hotel was the free movie rentals from the lobby (lots of movies to choose from) and the complimentary breakfast buffet which included four different types of cereals, oatmeal, fruit (small selection), yogurt w oats, breakfast souffle (basically a casserol with eggs, ham, sausage and cheese), sausage patties, potatoes, biscuits w gravy, "make your own waffle" station, bagels, toast, coffee, tea, apple juice, orange juice, milk, water, scones and muffins.  Overall the best continental breakfast ever! The staff were friendly and the hotel was fairly clean.  The worst part of the stay was the refridgerator didn't seem to be as cold as it should have, but that just gave us an excuse to eat the icecream fast :)  Definitely recommend this place when visiting Leavenworth and would love to come back during warmer weather.

I'm not ever staying anywhere else in Leavenworth. This hotel is smack in the center of the tourist area. It has great clean rooms with a views. Actually, this is one of the nicest places I've ever stayed, especially for the money; it was about $100/night. I usually stay at Marriott Residence Inn's, so... that's my basis of comparison. The bed was nice and comfy too.

We went midweek. The staff was exceptionally friendly. We got a "mountain view" room, which is actually cheaper than the village view. I'd rather look at mountains than the tourist shops, but maybe that's just me.

Also, they have the normal breakfast buffet stuff. The difference is it's actually tasty and they have a bigger variety of dishes. In addition to the regular hotel buffet fare, they had some potato/egg thing, Mexican eggs, assorted pork products, and STARBUCKS coffee.

So far so good!  Really cute decor, friendly front desk people and comfortable room. Could have gone without the amorous people in the room next door but good for them. Great location in town, no driving required!

I've never written a Yelp review until now, but the Bavarian Lodge inspired me to write one!

This is mainly for families wondering about staying at the Lodge.  We  booked the "Mountainview Family Room" perfectly located in a quiet location in the Lodge--top floor corner, overlooking the mountains.  The room was perfect for us and our 3-1/2 yr old.  It had a microwave, mini-fridge, coffee/tea service, two queen beds in the main room, and a large alcove room with a king-sized bed.  This alcove room was perfect for our napper who is used to a dark room.  It had no windows, and was separated by a thick curtain from the main room.  Our daughter napped and slept super well there, knowing we were nearby, but not being distracted by being in the same room.  The teddy bears in the lobby and in our room also helped our daughter to immediately like the place, too.

We went in the off-season (March), and got a 20% internet discount, so the room was really reasonable, esp. for having two rooms.  The front desk staff arranged for us to check in early, so that our toddler could nap at her regular 1:30 pm time, and they also spontaneously gave her a goodie bag full of age-appropriate toys, crayons, etc... that were almost better than the Christmas stocking we gave her!

More PROS: parking, amazing location right across from everything, friendly staff, very clean and tastefully decorated spacious room, attention to detail, great shower, and ditto on the delicious totally stocked breakfast of waffles, pastries, hot items, cereal, beverages, tea, everything you could think of!  Bonus for late risers that they offer breakfast until 10 am, too.

CONS:  maybe having the sink in the main room, and we could hear people talking loudly in the swimming pool below, but luckily, it didn't last long.

Totally recommend this for people with and without children!

We spent two nights in the end of February, a Thursday and Friday. On Thursday, all was bliss. We had the Turret Room which is very nice, large and appointed with a couch, leather stuffed chair, two straight-backed chairs and an ottoman. There is a desk and a very nice Jacuzzi type tub in the "Turret" part of the room (look it up for pictures). On Friday, there were occupants in the room above us on the 4th floor.

What a difference one nite can make! It sounded like a herd of elephants up there. I don't think it was because they were heavy-footed as much as there is poor sound proofing between floors. I would only recommed getting a top floor room.

They have a very nice complimentary breakfast every morning from 7:00-10:00. The Belgian waffles are to die for. They have a big fireplace in the lobby but it was not lit once while we were there. The rooms have a nice gas fireplace as well.

We wanted to buy the room corkscrew for a memento as it had the hotel name on it, but the male clerk berated for wanting to buy such a cheap corkscrew, instead telling us to buy one from his wife's wine shop in town. I thought that was not very professional of him.

I would return, only if I had a top floor room.

I've stayed here several times and have never had anything but a wonderful experience.  The rooms are as clean as any I've seen.  Staff is very polite and helpful.  The morning breakfast offers something for everyone, it is massive and it is free.

My husband and I celebrated our 10-year anniversary. Since we got engaged in Leavenworth (at Christmas-time), we decided to go back there. The summer is very different there, but it's still just as romantic. In fact, there were many couples canoodling everywhere we went.

We stayed on the 4th (top) floor of the Bavarian Lodge. There was a cute little (gas) fireplace, a huge jetted tub, and adorable rustic touches, such as copper sinks, everywhere in this spacious room. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were accommodating, with a hairdryer and other amenities. There was a glass-front mini fridge, a wet bar, two TVs (one flat screen in the jetted tub room and another TV in the bedroom), as well as a fold out couch and chair.

A buffett breakfast is served from 7:00-10:00 and it was quite good, with lots of variety. Both mornings, there was a meat and egg option, as well as lighter fair of granola, fruit, and cereal. Great coffee and juices were offered as well.

I'd definitely stay here again. The staff was nice and responsive (when we discovered that our refrigerator didn't work, it was fixed within a couple hours) and the rooms were lovely and very clean. We chose the most expensive room, I wonder how the other rooms compare?

This is a 5 star rating for Leavenworth, WA, so don't compare it to a 'W' hotel in Seattle.  This place was clean, comfortable and relaxing.  Friendly service.  Good shampoo and conditioner.  Comfortable beds.  In the center of town.  Great breakfast!  The waffles were killer.

I hate staying in hotels, this place let me sleep for a change.  Look nowhere else.  Get the cheapest room for $89 because it doesn't matter what 'view' you have.

good location, just across from the main downtown area, nice colors, nice details, well maintained but our room was next to the elevator (room 217) and we got to hear EVERYONE going up and down; fun. I also wouldn't want to be in one one of the rooms near the pool.  The breakfast was big but also mostly institutional quality.

All in all the place just felt wrong and is over-priced.  I think the Enzian Inn is a much better choice.

Certainly a very nice establishment. Here are the pros: clean, comfortable rooms, complimentary breakfast, free Starbucks coffee in lobby and in rooms and for breakfast, good list of amenities and some thoughtful touches, and theme decor.

Bad: they charge more for "village" view. Hello? The hotel is across the highway from the village. Why charge or pay more for a view of the local traffic, which I imagine can get heavy during peak season. And the "mountain" view in the rear is okay if you are not on the 2nd floor. They don't mention you get the "rear parking lot" view. At least you don't pay extra for that.

The desk staff is nice enough to help with restaurant choices in the area. Nod politely and ignore their recommendations. Use Yelp reviews and walk around and check out where the foot traffic goes, unless you prefer not to make your decisions.

Overall, I found things to be better than I could hope for in a small tourist town. But don't expect the Four Seasons or Grand Hyatt.  This is a solid 2.5 star establishment with 3-star aspirations.  I will stay here again on my next pass through this town.

Hands down the best location, ambiance, and rooms in Leavenworth.  We've stayed at this place about six times and it keeps getting better than I remember.  The room decor is amazing, looking like a super upscale hotel in the German or Swiss Alps.  When you walk in, you see a nice fireplace with plenty of deer horns and big bear rugs which is very warm and cozy.  The staff are super friendly and the place is very clean.  It has a very modern yet country feel to it.  The rooms are immaculate and the bed covers are something you'd see out of a magazine.  I love the sinks, showers, and furniture as it's all dark wood with welcoming paint tones.  If you were to design your own lodge in the Alps, this would be what you'd hope to achieve.  If you are going to Oktoberfest, this is the best hotel as it's right across the street so you could practically stumble home.  The only thing lacking from this hotel is a rooftop dining hall, like that of the Enzian Inn.  I think this place is more appealing than the Enzian from the outside, but the breakfast here is a bit weak.  I don't like powdered eggs and the standard continental breakfast.  Plus the dining hall has no windows so it's not a fun place to be.  You are better off going across the street for breakfast.  But this is a hotel, and for the accommodations, they are top notch.

This is no doubt the very best place in Leavenworth. Its the biggest, newest, most luxurious hotel for miles.

The location is perfect. Just across the street from the downtown hub. It is beautiful well appointed with unique, beautiful furnishings throughout. We stayed in the 3rd floor, fireplace room. The view was worth it :)

The bathroom was huge, nice tile floor. Very clean! Comfortable furnishings in the room. Staff is nice and friendly.

They provide a nice, big breakfast. Not just muffins and juice. They had egg casserole, sausage, potatoes, waffles, muffins, biscuits and gravy. Starbucks coffee :)

Ok, now the bad... Not much but here goes. I was so disappointed that they advertise a fridge in your room, there is one. Although its worthless! Barley cold enough to call a wine cooler. It states on the fridge, not intended for long term food storage. I wish I would have known this. I don't eat much so, I like to bring back leftovers for later. we ate at a very nice restaurant and brought our food back to discover the fridge was barley cool. I complained and the desk admitted they are having problems with the room refrigerators. So, beware of this. I would have given 4 stars however, I deducted one for the fridge issue.

It is a wonderful place. I will stay again. However, I will bring a Ice cooler with me for food and beverage storage.

In my opinion the best hotel with the best views of the village. This is the only hotel we stay at while in Leavenworth. The only rooms we will stay in are the rooms with the village view, which is exceptional awesome and cannot be best during the winter months & the tree lighting. The rooms are clean, well kept and present with a very homelike feel. Complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate in the lobby. Also available at the hotel are free movie rentals & breakfast. We have not had breakfast in the hotel as we prefer to eat in town. The only thing we dislike about the hotel is that the swimming pool is outside making it not so fun to swim at night or during the winter months in the cold.

We stayed here for a long weekend in Leavenworth. The place was great: pleasant staff, able to check-jn early since we were going to a wedding and had to get dressed, large rooms, DVD library you can borrow from, warm breakfast buffet, pool, hot tub. Our room had a cool view of Front Street so that was a plus. Also, it is located very close to all the shops and dining options in downtown Leavenworth, which is a plus too.

I hadn't been to Leavenworth for 15 years, so when it came to finding a place to stay for a wedding we were attending, I turned to Yelp.

Yelp did not let me down.

Thank you, yelpers and yelpettes.  If I were to do free word association with the Bavarian Lodge, it would look like this:
New
Clean
Good views
Friendly staff
Good smell
Ample parking
Close to everything
Good water pressure

The breakfast leaves little to be desired, but that's alright.  I can't really eat a lot in the morning anyways.

In the next 15 years, maybe I'll be back sooner, and if I do, I'll hit up this fine establishment again.

The Bavarian Lodge was the absolutely most luxurious place I have ever stayed; although I definitely would not have chosen it had I been the one paying!  We stayed in the turret rooms also (2nd floor first night, 3rd floor the second night), they are gorgeous, comfortable and relaxing.  The spa is huge, and the interior design of the turret/spa area is fantastic, I felt like I was Roman royalty!

The view of downtown Leavenworth from the windows is great, the fireplace was lovely, breakfast was delicious, everything was clean and perfect.  I liked the teddy bear on the bed too, nice touch.

On the second morning, though, in the 3rd-floor room, we also heard some outrageous banging from the 4th floor, like they were doing construction or something, *early* in the morning.  What's the deal, are there ghosts up there?!?! Did they choose the worst time of the day to start construction??? If we hadn't decided to get up early to pack and check out, I would have been flaming pissed off about the noise.

Awesome hotel. We will definitely be coming back.  We came here on an anniversary get away and it was perfect.  Location is ideal for walking downtown and to the shops. Room was beautiful and super clean.  Breakfast in the morning is incredible.  There are tons of things to choose from and food is delicious.  Movies are available to watch which is an added perk. I definitely see us bringing our kids here. The rooms are high end at an affordable price which is an even bigger plus.

Awesome hotel. Only place we will stay in Leavenworth. Love the breakfast. The staff is always friendly. Lots of room ammenities. Walking distance to everywhere. Only downsides are the beds aren't too comfortable, and the price, especially the festival rate on any nicer rooms, like with fireplaces or the jetted tub. We did the turret suite this time and really enjoyed it, but thought it was overpriced. We'll still be back though.

Been meaning to write this review for several months but...ya know about life...it happens.

We had a family get together in Leavenworth WA. a while back.  Part of the family is in Seattle, Part in Portland and we all enjoy this quaint little town, so we settled on a long weekend for our get together to celebrate graduation.

The staff at the Bavarian Lodge and their sister hotel, Der Linderhof went out of their way to accommodate our large group.  We had a large pot luck buffet at one of the conference rooms in the Lodge and had plenty of tables and chairs, continued refreshment of the food we brought (which they kindly stored in their kitchen for us) and cheerful constant picking up after the big crowd.

Our room was absolutely exquisite - overlooking the twinkling lights of the town park at night.  Close to shopping and activities.  Some of the group stayed at Der Linderhof, where they had a 2 level suite which had room for 2 families with kids plus a kitchenette for lunch meals.

WE loved the pool and jacuzzi and the comfortable foyer where relaxing is encouraged.  There is a stock of cutsie collectable t-shirts and sweatshirts plus decor items that are unique-and all are available for sale.

Breakfast-all you can eat was a big plus-served family style, the kids loved the waffles and hot chocolate.

If there were 10 stars, The Bavarian Lodge would earn it for excellent customer service, friendly staff, ideal location and reasonable price-it isn't the least expensive place but I think it might be the nicest.  Well worth the price.

This place was recommended to me, and while I trusted the person who suggested it, I didn't expect it to be as lovely and warm/welcoming as it was. Five stars, baby! nice at a fair price. The parking for the little town was PRIME. Didn't have to move my car once. Walked across the street to the town's center, which means a lovely, but super-short morning walk to Starbucks. I can still recall the crisp Mouton air! Better than the usual hotel breakfast INCLUDED in the price.

Staff has always been very friendly. The rooms are pretty spacious and the view is beautiful. Beds are very comfortable. Small tables in room. Decor is great (rustic-true lodge style). Nice lobby area has a quiet place to read. DVDs can be borrowed at no cost. BEST BREAKFAST EVER!. We did not use the pool, so I have no comment there. Free WiFi. Hotel is right across the street from the park. Every thing is in walking distance. Windows are large. We have visited multiple times now and it's always exceeded expectations.

This place is a must stay if you're passing through Leavenworth.  Very quaint looking.  Staff was very hospitable.  The location is great.  Then again, everything is walking distance in this town.  There is a tiny pool and hot tub here as well.  The free breakfast was wonderful.  It was a full hot breakfast with scrambled eggs, potatoes, summer sausage, B&G, a waffle station, as well as many other cold items.  I can't say enough about the Bavarian Lodge and Leavenworth as a whole.  We loved our stay.

The Bavarian Lodge is winner! The front desk staff was outstanding. Despite arriving before check-in time, our room was ready, and the staff provided us with a restaurant map of the area with some lunch suggestions. They have a ton of DVDs you can check out if you aren't too sloshed from the beer gardens or wine tasting when you return to your room for the night. Our room had 2 queen beds, a flat screen TV, and tons of space. It could easily accommodate 4 adults. The only thing better than the location was the complementary breakfast buffet!

Pros:
Prime location
Free parking
Free breakfast
Free newspapers
Free coffee
Pool/hot tub
Charming decor
Large/clean rooms
Awesome staff!

Beautiful hotel! Wonderful experience! From the moment we got there the staff were warm and accomodating. For $150 we got an amazing room with two soft queen-sized beds, a big flatscreen TV with a ton of channels, free movies from the DVD collection downstairs, free unlimited hot chocolate, cider, coffee and teas from a table in the lobby, an clean outdoor pool with two hot tubs, and free full breakfast in the morning (waffles, omlet, kelbasa, biscuits & gravy, granola, fruit, cereal and juice).

Plus from the rustic lobby filled with overstuffed leather couches, antler art, huge plush toy bears and big fireplace--just gorgeous, to the sumptuous but still country themed rooms, everything was new, smelled fresh and was totally inviting and attractive.

One of the best hotels we've stayed at in a while, this will for sure be my first choice the next time I'm in Leavenworth.

We love it here. We come and stay here for our anniversary every year. The staff is very nice and professional, the breakfast in the mornings is always delicious, the views are amazing, this lodge is right across the street from EVERYTHING, it's just a great place to stay. If I had to pick just ONE thing to change, it would be that you guys offer specials during the weekends on all of your rooms, not just during the week.  Other than that (which is really not a negative thing), we will always come and stay here when we come to Leavenworth. Thank you for all that you guys do!

This was our first time staying at the Bavarian Lodge and next time we're in Leavenworth we're definitely staying here again. Check-in was quick with great customer service. Our room was very clean and had a microwave and a small fridge. The small fridge came in handy for our dinner leftovers. They had hot cocoa, coffee, apple cider and cookies available in the lobby after our stroll around the Bavarian Village, which was right across the street.

Loved the breakfast. We were only expecting a few things, but the spread was amazing. Waffle batter was pre-measured so no mess to deal with. It seemed like the breakfast choices just kept going and going. We certainly wanted to eat more, but had plans to go snowshoeing after breakfast so we took it easy. Overall a great place to stay.

We were in town for a wedding and stayed here again. We had our new baby with us so couldn't stay in a turret room which was fine. Our room was great and this time we tried the breakfast which was delicious. We noticed there is construction being done to expand the hotel and it didn't seem inconvenient at all. The only issue this time was our bed was super uncomfortable and springy. It really hurt our backs. We hope when they furnish the new addition they purchase new beds for the old rooms or at least mattress pads. Still love the place though.

Just went there again and can't say enough about this place!

Location: Right across the street from all the shops and sledding, 5 min drop from ski hill where they have inner tubing & down hill skiing.  Lots of parking.

Ambiance: Love the rustic lodge feel.  Very clean even though it's not new, but still feels new.  I think they must have gotten new carpet recently - its so clean.  We get the King with pullout queen sleeper and it's very spacious.  Bathrooms are great with clean tile (very important for me!).  There's in-room microwave and mini-fridge so we actually brought a couple microwave meals since food it so expensive in town.

Service: Excellent.  Everyone at the front desk is so friendly, - they totally make you feel at home, like they are really invested in making you happy.

Food: LOVE the breakfast - DIY waffles, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, scones, just about anything you can think of they have.  Also love the fresh Starbucks coffee available all day in the lobby as well has hot cocoa, apple cider, and cookies.

Extras: They have an extensive DVD collection and pool and hot tub open all year.

Recommendation: Can't see why anyone would go anywhere else!

Great hotel, great location!  I would definitely recommend this hotel, as the yelpers before me helped me to find this place.  I would definitely stay here again.

Nice big rooms, helpful staff, wonderful free breakfast with lots of food.  There is a big communial room downstairs in which to eat your breakfast.  The pool and two jacuzzi's were heated (even though they were outside).  Easy access to the shops across the street.   Lots of lot parking available.  Very clean inside.

I took advantage of the online specials for a one night "get away".  Would definitely stay on the top floor again, nice views of the city and mountains.  There was no snow, so no intertubing at the place behind the hotel.  That's allright, we will try again next year!

My boyfriend and I went to Leavenworth this past weekend and we stayed at the Bavarian Lodge.  I was eagerly anticipating our stay here as I had heard great things from a co-worker about the hotel.  We were not disappointed whatsoever - we had an amazing stay here!!

The lodge itself is located downtown, directly across the street from the large gazebo.  The location is perfect.  It's simply a walk across the street to get to the shops and restaurants.

Our room was located on the top floor (4th) with a view of the village.  The room itself was gorgeous. Very spacious. Loved the decor.  The bed was SO comfortable!  The only downside to the room was that the sink/mirror area was located in the main room, rather than in the bathroom with the shower and toilet.  This meant that drying my hair while my boyfriend tried to catch a few extra zzz's was rather irritating for him!  However, the shower was nice - good water pressure and plenty of warm water.

The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, offering us comprehensive lists of restaurants in the area, as well as suggestions of their favorites.

The breakfast is the hugest bonus about this hotel.  All you can eat buffet breakfast with a huge variety of items - cereal, yogurt, biscuits and gravy, cinnamon rolls, Belgian waffles, eggs, sausage, potatoes, ham, bagels, toast, etc.  Lots of drink choices too - everything from coffee to milk to juice.  This was great because it meant we didn't have to spend extra cash on food in the village.  And the food was pretty darn good too.  The potatoes were probably the best part!  Yum!

Prices are a little bit higher than I would normally ever consider paying...but we wanted to splurge on this weekend a little bit.  Plus it's a tourist town, so prices are high regardless.  I'd say that with the great accommodations and delicious breakfast, we definitely got what we paid for!

I highly recommend this hotel.  I would 100% definitely stay here again.

Girlfriend and I came up for the weekend. Didn't have a reservation, decided to see if they had a room available. Gentleman at the front desk was extremely nice and professional, got checked in within minutes. Room was amazing, really good vibe. Next morning went to breakfast, they had really good food (potatoes, biscuits and gravy and sliced ham) actually had a dining room to eat at. Definitely would have stayed the following night but they were booked. 100% recommend! Right across from the town too

For Valentine's/Presidents day weekend my boyfriend and I went to Leavenworth. He looked up reviews and finally decided on the Bavarian Lodge. He had tricked me into thinking that we were going to stay at a bad hotel since we booked so last minute, but this place was beautiful! The reception area was nicely decorated. There are stuffed bears everywhere and really beautiful wall paintings. The location is right across the street from the town which makes it extremely convenient to get around, didn't even need to drive which was nice since it snowed.

The 1st night we stayed in a family room since that was all that was left. It had two double beds and one master bedroom which was a king size bed. Probably  the nicest room I've ever stayed at. The second night, we switched to another room. Another surprise, he got the Turret Suite!!! It has a king size bed and your own HOT TUB!!! The hot tub room was really nice, it has windows to look outside and bench area to sit and a TV. The hot tub has a massage option as well but it isn't very strong. Apparently a lot of couples book that room for anniversaries.

The service was great, they moved all our things for us since we had to switch rooms. They also had a deal for 15% off and complimentary wine tasting at Icicle Winery. There is complimentary buffet breakfast which has pretty good quality food and free wifi!

Only downside was that there was construction going on right next to the Turret Suite so early in the morning we got woken up by the construction going on. They are extending the hotel and looks like it will almost be doubled. The 15% off deal is for Sunday-Thursday stays if I remember correctly. I think they were not going to give us the deal at first since they said it doesn't work for holidays(President's Day), but then they found out we were staying at the Turret Suite and the reception lady's face and tone completely changed. Not that they were rude before, but they just suddenly became a lot more accommodating. Overall was a great place to stay at though!

Last minute trip to Leavenworth and we didn't do too much research on hotels but I'm so glad we ended up at the Bavarian Lodge.

Location:  Across the street from all the shops and restaurants.   Great location.

Check In:   Fast and easy, it was late afternoon and we hadn't stopped to eat anywhere so the cookies and check in were appreciated.

Lobby: So comfortable.  There is construction going on in the lobby and hotel so I'd like to see the place when that is finished.   We really liked all the gift shop items and the place to sit by the fire (too hot of course in July for a fire).   In the afternoon they have cucumber water and lemonade.  Perfect as it was so hot during our visit.

Room:  Girls Getaway, the room could not have been more perfect.   We grabbed a couple of DVDs at the lobby to use with the room's DVD player.   Two queen beds, great bedding, lots of places too put your things.   Microwave, fridge, updated bathroom.   I believe they were sold out during our stay yet the lodge was very quiet.  Beds were very comfortable.

Breakfast:  Included with the price of your room.   We were up early to take a walk and were the first for breakfast.   Juices, tea, coffee...we had a little bit of the veggie egg dish and some potatoes.  They had plenty of other offerings that we didn't try but we had plenty of coffee.

The only thing we didn't like was the parking situation.  Took the last awkward spot in the front.  Someone had a car parked with cones around it (not in a spot) which made it awkward to get in the one spot available.  Part of the parking issue is due to construction.

Lets start with the front desk....wow such nice people, great customer service!! The lobby is well appointed.  The rooms are also well staged, clean and very comfortable.  My husband and I sat on the most comfortable couch in the lobby, just relaxing and talking.  Other guests stopped by and chatted, so pleasant. As we stepped out to get pizza from Rudloof's there was a man playing beautiful music on the grand piano!! Tonight we see Sound of Music outside (which was amazing and sold out!!)
Breakfast is well done with all the regular full complimentary breakfast items.  They have gluten free oatmeal, bread and muffins.  It's European seating so feel free to meet new people!!! Enjoy.... The server's are pleasant, kind and helpful (I always get embarrassed having to ask for gluten free) but this place has signs everywhere letting you know it's available.  Please remember to tip these ladies, they are cleaning up, taking care of the food and no one has left a tip???
The bed was very comfortable.  Bring earplugs the walls seem thin, not a big deal unless you have little ones next to your room! I always bring earplugs though-just a suggestion my fellow yelpers.  They provide a very comfortable lobby, you are provided with free movies and books and delicious lemonade plus a fruit water. I am going to make this when I get home.  One day they had strawberries and lemons in water, the next was cucumber and blueberries - so refreshing!! Cannot wait to see what they have this morning!!!  I will always stay here it's perfection!!!

Stay here. The people are lovely. The beds comfy. Fireplace in room. Small pool out the back and right in the heart of Leavenworth so easy to get everywhere.

Go tubing for a great way to see the outdoors. Expect to be out for 2 hours plus.

The lodge is great value and the level of comfort is high.

Reasonably priced hotel set in the heart of downtown Leavenworth. Stayed here shortly after New Years and was very happy with the service, rooms, and amenities. Rooms are modern and fairly spacious with a wet bar and fridge. Breakfast is complimentary and delicious in the morning. Parking is free for guests. There is a heated swimming pool and 2 hot tubs just off of the side of the hotel. Definitely will stay here next time
I come to Leavenworth!

Best location in Leavenworth!  Walk to all of downtown, food, the park and more.  Great breakfasts that are more then just a "motel" breakfast.  My family has stayed here four times now and will keep coming back.

This hotel was absolutely the best.  The staff was friendly and helpful, allowed us to check in quite early.  The huge room was exquisite and a steal for the price.  Large king bed, the BEST hotel shower I've ever had, great cable TV, WiFi, pool and hot tub.  In room Starbucks, fridge, microwave, iron, hairdryer....all the amenities.  AND, the free breakfast was well above your typical continental, great variety from quiche, ham, home fries and biscuits and gravy as well as the regular.  Even better, the location.  Simply walk across the street and you are in the heart of all the Leavenworth shops and restaurants.  Absolutely no complaints and we will stay again for sure.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Bavarian Lodge last weekend on our short trip to Leavenworth. We had originally booked a room at another hotel, but we switched when we saw the high Yelp reviews for this place. After our wonderful stay there, I'm glad we made the switch.

The location is good. Leavenworth isn't very big, but it was still nice to have all of the shops and restaurants literally right across the street from the hotel.

When we checked in, the staff were very friendly and informative. They gave us a map of Leavenworth and some tasty peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies. I live in Berkeley, CA, and I find it kind of annoying that almost everyone in Berkeley has tons of dietary restrictions (real ones are understandable, but I feel like most are imagined by Berkeley people), so it made me smile a little to see a sticker on the bag of cookies stating that they weren't gluten free. I felt like I was back in the "real" America.

Our room was huge. We had a king size bed (which was very comfortable), a full-sized couch, a large coffee table, a side table with chairs, and a large dresser. The room also included a mini-fridge and a microwave. I wish my studio apartment was as nice as this place. My girlfriend really liked the Bavarian Lodge blankets that they had in the room. Other people must feel the same way, because one of the shops across the street sold those blankets. The only downside of our room was that the pool was right outside the window, which we thought was a little awkward. We could have stepped out of the window straight into the pool if we wanted to.

One of my favorite things about the hotel is that each room has a TV and DVD player, and they have a DVD library where you can check out a DVD for the night. We were planning on doing some hot-tubbing, but when we saw that the hot tub was already full of people, we just went to the lobby and checked out a DVD (Wall-E, in case you are wondering), got some complimentary hot chocolate, and watched it in our room. It was a nice way to end the night.

The Bavarian Lodge also provides a full breakfast in the morning. They have scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, cereal, fruit, toast, etc. Everything tasted just fine too.

We really enjoyed our stay. If we visit Leavenworth again, we will be sure to stay at the Bavarian Lodge.

Great hotel right in the heart of Leavenworth. Located directly across the street from all the shops and restaurants. A bit pricey, but you really do get a lot for your money. I absolutely LOVED the shower.

The breakfast(that is included) was a bit lackluster. I was mostly disappointed that there were no waffles either day! what the heck, Bavarian Lodge? Apparently they were "out" of the mix. But you can pick that shit up at the Bavarian Safeway down the street.

They have a bar/lounge area with drinks and appetizers. The lobby is nice and cozy with over-sized sofas and a warm fireplace, plus complimentary coffee, tea and hot cocoa available.

All the staff I spoke to were friendly. I imagine though my favorite part was the hot tub. Simply because I love hot tubs! Conveniently have robes available, so you don't freeze going to the Hot Tub/Pool when it's 30 out and snowing.

I don't come to Leavenworth that often, but I would definitely stay here again! All the hotels are a bit over-priced in this area. But the Bavarian Lodge is really nice, has great amenities, and has a great central location.

Great hotel in Leavenworth.  Clean spacious rooms.  We had a double queen room.  Free breakfast, parking, and WiFi.  Super convenient, directly across from all of the shops and restaurants on Front St.  The weather was great, so we got to take advantage of the heated pool and hot tub in the back.  We'll definitely check this place out again if we're in town.

Is this hotel the best hotel in Leavenworth? It's close to town, well staffed and a great value for the room costs. The parking lot outside is tiny and misleading as there is a garage off to the right that you can access for ample resident parking. The front desk is convenient and friendly staff await. They've got a nice selection of free in -house DVD to check out for movie watching. We grabbed a king bed with fireplace with a village view and I was glad we upgraded. The view is inspiring, especially once the sun went down and all the lights came on.

The hotel is nicely decorated in which the style of Bavarian ski lodge pops into mind. Not too horrible tacky or cheap looking. The free full breakfast every morning needs to be better described to really appreciate the value to customers. It's a simple walk down the hallway breakfast is a great freebie for hotel patrons. Breakfast had scrambled & boiled eggs, ham, hash browns, biscuits & gravy, Greek/and plain yogurt with dried fruits/granola on the side. Muffins, scones all served with ample sides of butter, jelly, peanut butter and stuff. Waffles, coffee/milk/Apple/orange juice too :)

The room was well stocked, clean and comfortable. Walls are a bit thin or the Tweens next door are too loud but your voice carries easily in this building. Soaps are nice, higher quality. Bed was nice and clean. Nice larger flat screen TV for those into that. We locked out bathroom door accidentally and staff was there to fix it within 10 minutes. I had a great time making memories and plan to return!

This is an older property with nicely updated rooms.  It is a great location relative to downtown Leavenworth and the surrounding shopping, eating and wineries.  The staff was friendly.  Parking is tight.

The property overall is not a 4 star but the updated room is if that makes any sense.

The breakfast was an upscale version of what you would get at Holiday Inn Express.  I want to be clear.  That is not a put down.  I think it was fine. There was plenty of quality food and juice in a self serve bar.

Overall a very nice experience.  I am mixed on the value proposition of price to package, but it is likely the nicest thing in town.

Thanks!

I think between this and the Enzian, these are your two best places to stay for hotels in Leavenworth.  Check in is easy, rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, and there's plenty of parking in the lots or in the garage.  Breakfast is great and changes day to day which is a nice benefit if you're there for a long weekend or a business meeting/conference. Plus the location is right there in the middle of town, so that's hard to beat. Definitely worth coming back to.

One other thing: Not sure why other yelpers think this is an "older" property... it's not.  I think the oldest property in Leavenworth is probably the Bavarian "Ritz" down the street, where the structure was built circa 1906.  Bavarian Lodge: 2005.  109 years later... so no, I don't think this is an older property.  :) If anything it's one of the newer and nicer ones in Leavenworth.
