The location is great and there are two good grocery stores within blocks.  Also near the Opera House, theaters, and the Space Needle.  The downside is that the wifi is the slowest I have ever experienced in any hotel in this country or abroad (it could take 2 min. to send a simple email or for something like nytimes.com to load).  Reminds me of my old land line connection from years ago.  So if you need to use your computer for work I would not stay here.  Also the complimentary breakfast is very poor.  They serve eggs that are tasteless with the consistency of sawdust and other flavorless foods in large amounts.  There is coffee and cereal which is fine but is not up to the standard of say a Quality Inn.  The staff is friendly and helpful but I get the impression that when they ask if there was anything that could have made your stay better it is a pro forma question without much followup.  Given the choice I would have stayed somewhere else.

I stayed here for a few nights over the course of about seven weeks.  Great location, reasonably priced, and the staff was very friendly.  There are a lot of small restaurants nearby, and more in the downtown area, which is close by.  Good value!

Stayed here with the wife and 2 year old twins and we loved it. 2br suite was huge. Service and amenities are what you expect from a Hampton - breakfast, free internet, friendly staff, comfy beds etc. With a supermarket and loads of restaurants near by as well as the Seattle Center, the location was great! Used AAA and got a sweet deal on the room to boot. Highly recommend.

We have been staying at this hotel for about 2 weeks and so far I have very mixed feelings about it. The first week we were here a water pipe broke and flooded most of our floor. This resulted in part of the carpet in our suite being soaked as well as for the next week and a half people would just try to walk in the room. On average I had people just opening my door and walking in 4 times a day. It was to the point where i decided to just bolt the door an ignore them. Eventually we had to change rooms so that they could redo the carpet which was a gargantuan pain in the ass considering we are moving and had a lot of stuff in our room.

I was able to get over most of the stuff I just mentioned but the thing that really bothers me is the "complimentary" internet that cant seem to stay working for more than 5 mins at a time. It's very frustrating and it makes me want to buy dial up.

However, the maids are all very nice and thorough. They even thank you after they clean your toilet. Rather awkward for me, but someone else might enjoy it. If I were you though I'd take a chance and go to a different hotel.

This was a real find for us.  We were looking for something "nice" but not as expensive as the luxury hotels.  This was perfect.  The staff was friendly and helpful, including the lady who helped with the complimentary breakfast in the morning.  We forgot razors and deodorant, and they had more at the front desk.  From our room you could see the Space Needle which is only two-three blocks away.  There are two sushi places close by, plus a QFC food market with some great deli dishes we took to our room.  This was also the quietest room I've ever had.

Great central location just a few blocks from the Space Needlehttp://www.yelp.com/biz/space-needle-seattle-2, and Experience Music Project/ Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame yelp.com/biz/experience-… with a local grocery just a block away QFC yelp.com/biz/qfc-quality… . Check in was easy, complimentary coffee all day is nice in the lobby. Stay includes comp breakfast that basically consisted of eggs, sausage, cereal, fruit and biscuits when we had it, although free not super tasty. One of the six people we stayed with got sick that night and we think it was from the breakfast but can't be sure so I can't sign off on that one.  Room was pleasant, I know we made a lot of noise day and night but were never bothered by staff or other patrons. We bailed the rental car after we found out about the $13 parking per day and the difficult roads in this area with plenty of walking, bus, tram, taxi options. The staff at the front desk were so helpful especially Jenn, she showed us how to navigate the city by public transport. Overall I would totally stay here again with other than the FREE breakfast NO complaints.

rate was $159/ night and this hotel is across the street from the Sound Project and is 7-8 blocks away from some great restaurants and night life. One block up is 7-11 and one block in the other direction is a grocery store.

This hotel has a friendly front desk and the hotel is pretty clean. I stayed for several nights on business and was pleased with the free internet wireless in the rooms, as well as the computers and printers available in the lobby. I had the free continental style breakfast on the main floor in the mornings and all food was very nice. There was a lady who walked around to the tables to ask how you were doing and if you needed anything else. Food was refilled quickly and dishes were taken away quickly. My room was clean and comfortable and I slept pretty well for a noisy city.

My only gripe was that the parking garage was really tight. Otherwise I enjoyed my stay and will stay there again when I'm in Seattle next month.

Strange.  I could have sworn I wrote a review of this hotel already - but apparently not!  Or maybe the hotel is haunted by long-deceased guests who party it up in the ballroom and drive writers insane?  Some hotels have that problem, you know.

This hotel may have an advantage in having no ballroom and being too recently constructed for a swinging eternal flapper party.  On the other hand, the post-Gulf-war construction is a little like Home Depot hell.

I've stayed here a few times now and it's okay.  The staff are terrific, mind you.  They've gone the extra mile, even giving me a reimbursement for an umbrella I lost in the room.  That's nuts!  I lost the umbrella, not you!  There are all the biz-friendly perks like the free internet (are you listening Westin?), the complimentary breakfast, a good iron and a decent working area.  But overall, nothing really compels me to come back here (except that my client books it for me).

I would really like it if they had some kind --any kind! -- of sustainability action going on.  In the room and in the breakfast area, absolutely everything is disposable.  You should see the huge trash bags being hauled out after breakfast!

There are none of those familiar signs saying to hang up your towel and save water, etc.  Wash fewer towels?  Duh.  I thought that was just good business with some marketing tacked on.

I brought my bike on this trip and they don't even have a tiny bit of bike parking in their garage.  Granted, these might not be the concerns of the average Hampton customer.   But then again, where are the people staying who do think about these things?

    Someplace with a ballroom, perhaps?

This is a great place if you don't have a car and want to get around Seattle! It's right down the street from the Seattle Center (Space Needle, Children's Museum, International Fountain, Rock-n-Roll Museum, etc), easy access to the Monorail and buses downtown, and has standard Hampton features (free internet, hot breakfast).

I was only here for one night but the staff was really nice and helpful, the rooms were really nice (no fridges in the rooms though), beds were super comfortable and price was affordable.

I took my family up for the marathon and I was blown away by their service.  The front desk folks are top notch and made us feel appreciated with their personalized approach.  They were accommodating when we needed a late checkout due to the marathon and went out of their way to assist with parking and other topics.  This Hampton is first class in my book.

I think this is a great hotel at a middle of the road price. They're close to downtown, walking distance to the Spaceneedle or Monorail. The staff is friendly, and the grounds are clean. I agree with other posts: the parking in the garages is insanely tight. If you have a medium and up vehicle good luck navigating the spaces. I stay here any time I visit Seattle and highly recommend this hotel.

The internet access is ok, but bogs down over wifi in the afternoon when the place is busiest.

For a good cup of coffee head down the hill to the corner. There's a cool coffee shop / restaurant across the street. The waitstaff is mellow and friendly, and you can sit outside (but you're on the street).

There's also a huge grocery store across the street QFC(?) if you want to eat in or grab some snacks and drinks for later.

This Hampton Inn is in a great location in the Queen Ann district on 2nd Avenue near Roy, just a few blocks from the Space Needle, and the "RIde The Ducks" funtour. The day staff is friendly and helpful, the continental breakfast is complimentary. That's the good news.

The bad news is that there are some shortcomings for this place, and these can be exasperated when you check in at 1 in the morning after cancelled flights, as the last person to get a room! At that time, the hotel's 5 floors (it's on a hill) is confusing, since the 3rd floor is the lobby, and there are 2 elevator banks, some going down to the garage but not to the 2nd floor, where my  room was! There is underground parking available, but not for SUVs, as the ceiling is too low, so those you park in another area out front. And my room was 53 degrees when I went inside, (it was 32 outside) and it took all night for the little heater to get up to 70.

The "Suites" are slightly larger than a regular hotel room, but they are not "Suites",  not a two room suite like Embassy Suites, or not  even like Marriotts Springhill Suites. It has a kitchenette, where you can stand in one place and use the sink, microwave, coffeemaker, stove, and refrigerator without moving your feet. Otherwise, it is a normal room, and that was the "Suites" room, so the other rooms must be smaller still
The furnishings are new and in good condition, but the floors are a little thin, so you clomp down the maze of halls, and hear your upstairs neighbor getting up in the morning.

So for $150, you get a good location, but that is a bit high for the other amenities you don't get, like a warm welcoming room. Oh, and parking costs you $13/day.

Moved rooms 2 different times due to heater not working, then television not working.  Also the maid service stole my ipod charger, and when I called down about it, they brought me up a charger that had been "left behind".  although on my last vacation with my friends, I wrote my initials on my charger so as to not lose it since we all had identical chargers, and strangely enough, the maid brought up my same charger.  When I confronted the front desk about it, they looked at me in astonishment, yet failed to do anything about it.  I will never stay there again.

Well 2.5 stars at best.  Great location near the Seattle Center.  We walked to all the places we needed to in the Center. Hampton staff was very courteous.  You get the Hampton breakfast (try the cereal, toast, coffee and juice for real tasting items and pass on the rest). Rooms were on the small side.  You do get free in room internet and cable TV.  Beds were soft and nice.  Bathroom fixtures could have used an upgrade. Underground parking was $13/day however the spaces in the garage are very, very tight.

Some areas needed upgrades especially some of the carpet areas.  Not a bad choice for a mid-priced hotel in the lower Queen Anne area.

I am a frequent traveller and have basically resigned to the fact that no reasonably priced, chain hotel I ever stay in will be in a cool area. Being from a city, I dream of being able to walk to anything and everything. As I am traveling for work, I also need something that caters toward the business population. This Hampton Inn has... made my dreams come true?

The hotel is relatively quiet, the lobby is large (which is helpful for me as I use this space for meetings), and my room is fine, just fine. Nice TV and comfy pillows make a for an enjoyable space to unwind. You can also open the window, which is great. I like the self parking - yes, spaces are tight in the garage but at least you don't have to deal with valet. I've never had trouble with the internet.

THE AREA though. Oh, the area. There is a 711, a grocery store, a coffee shop, and a bunch of decent - great restaurants within walking distance. Tomorrow I'm planning on hoping on the bus and going to the Uwajimaya Market and then walking back toward to hotel through downtown (about 2 miles).

I'm still trying to find my niche in a world of old dudes who travel for work. This hotel makes me feel like there is hope.

I've stayed here a handful of times in the last couple years; most recently, I stayed here last week.

As far as Hamptons go, I like this one. It's not in dire need of a remodel, the staff are very friendly, I have never once had to park in the garage (always get outdoor parking near the front door), and I've never had wi-fi problems. The hotel is just a few blocks from 99, which makes getting anywhere from there easy (not to mention it's already in city center) and there's a gas station right around the corner (as those who have to fill up rental cars know, that's pretty handy).

I will say that sometimes the rates here are pretty steep, for a Hampton. Probably the most expensive Hampton I've seen. Usually if, for some reason, their rates are really high, I just stay down by the airport instead. But I'll come back here again!

We stayed at this Hampton Inn for the first leg of our trip, later moving to Silver Cloud on Lake Union.

I would say the only thing that the Hampton Inn has going for it over Silver Cloud is the proximity to Seattle Center and QFC.  Walking to the Space Needle was an 8 minute affair.  Very convenient.  The room was basic but decent and clean.  Free wi-fi, as I would expect from most hotels.

The free breakfast was decent but there was an almost airplane-food type of quality to the eggs.  It's convenient, especially if like me, you like to have plain oatmeal and toast for breakfast.  It was a nice touch that they have pre-bagged breakfast for those on the run.  Also, free cookies at night was a nice touch.

Overall just a plain three star hotel but it gets the job done!

I came here last weekend for the Seattle vs. Giants game (go Giants!) and the King Tut exhibit and the hotel was within total walking distance to the museum. This hotel just went through a remodel and honestly, it was one of the nicest (middle grade) hotels that I've been to. Everyone that we were with had a suite and each one was slightly different. Ours came with a small office, a full kitchen and the bed was king sized and very comfortable. The bathroom was very nice too and featured a modern design and it was a big plus that they were eco-minded. Also, they had free buffet breakfast featuring fresh fruit, yogurt, waffles, coffee, cereal and any other breakfast item you could want. For the location and the ammennities it was a really nice stay.

Very well run and clean hotel. Staff were very accommodating and helpful. We had a party of 12 people (7 adults and 5 children). The hotel staff even entertained some of the children while we were waiting in the lobby.

Breakfast was a very decent continental. The hot items on the buffet were tasty. They had complimentary coffee, tea and hot cocoa throughout the day. They give out cookies around 5:30 PM.

The rooms were comfortable. Everything was clean and well maintained.

The location so close to the Seattle Center is really awesome. There is also a bus that picks up just outside the hotel that will take you downtown.

We didn't have a car, so I can't speak to the parking situation.

Location must be key to the hotel's success, plus fair rates. We got to the hotel before our room was ready, but they quickly put our bags in storage and the room was ready later in the day.
Unfortunately, we got put in a room on the main floor just off the lobby. This meant hearing everyone and especially in the morning going to the hotel's continental breakfast.
The rooms were nice and we had an ADA bathroom so it was extra spacious. I didn't care for the thin walls between rooms and the thin door. I would return here if promised to have a room far from the lobby.
The breakfast was the normal offering of make your own waffles, cereal and tons of carb options. The staff was quick to clear spots so more guests could sit.
FYI- they offer AAA savings when booking on-line. Saved us about $20 a night.
The hotel is a few blocks from the Space Needle, EMP Museum, and walking distance to so much more.

If you have perfume allergies - WARNING - don't stay here!

I have been staying at this hotel AT LEAST a dozen times a year for the past 10 years and it has been great.  I dealt with their renovation upheavel and even that was very tolerable.  But lately, they are using a floral air freshener that is so overpowering that I couldn't even sleep.  I tried putting a towel under my door, opening the window as wide as it would go and turning on the fan.

The first visit, I very nicely told the Manager on Duty that the scent was extremely over powering and actually caused me to have physical problems (headache and nausea).  The next visit was worse!  I totally expected them to have toned down the use of the air freshener but it was more!

Ironically, I received a "standard/form" email after this visit, from the GM, asking if there was anything he could do to improve the quality of my stay.  I replied back with an explanation much like the one I'm writing here.  It's been 3 weeks and NO RESPONSE!  A coworker is staying their now and said that yes, they could smell the floral air freshener.

Unbelievable.  I guess I have to find a new hotel.

Great location near Seattle Center. We were able to walk to KeyArena for the UFC fights. My room was nice. Unfortunately, they had some kind of renovation project going on. I wish I had known that before I got my reservation. The construction didn't create any disturbance but I didn't have any hot water for my shower in the AM.

Free WiFi was nice. It was mighty slow, though. I ended up using my Android tether.

I HATE cold showers. Nothing makes me more grouchy in the morning than stinging tendrils of icy water stabbing into my nether regions.

Did I mention that I HATE cold showers?

I'd stay here again once they are finished tinkering with the plumbing.

I have stayed at probably 150 Hampton inns in the last 5 years.  This is in my top three. Great location, great staff, if you are lucky enough to get an upgrade to the suites in the east wing, the place is AMAZING!!  Protip: there is a little restaurant across the street to the east that has GREAT breakfast and coffee and is even a great place for a nightcap. The QFC is close and has an astonishingly good beer selection, and one of my favorite bars in Seattle is the Great Nabob, easy stumbling distance from the hotel.

Our first experience with this hotel was an upgraded room.  Always nice!  The King Suite had a full living room, full kitchen and separate bedroom with two great size closets and plenty if dresser space.  The bathroom was very pretty, roomy and certainly larger than my own at home.  I was sad leave this comfortable space that included a lovely has fireplace, two flat screen TVs, outdoor patio accessible from the living and bedroom.  And let's not forget the very comfy bed and pillows!  Everything was very clean and well kept.  All the staff is very friendly and personable.  Every one of the maids smiled and said hello or good morning.  And breakfast was perfect with many yummy hot and healthy options.  Walking distance to a grocery store is always great too! We will no longer search for hotels in Seattle because this place has definitely earned our business.  I can't think of a single complaint.

This hotel is affordable and comfortable.  I cannot fault the Hampton inn in any way.
The beds are comfortable, the pillows just right, the towels are cushy, and service is caring and efficient. I was happy with the waffles and the breakfast service, more than expected, and morning greetings are always appreciated. The coffee and tea bar is there for you whenever you arrive and the front desk is welcoming and knowledgable of the area. The Space Needle, the Monorail, the Ducks land and sea tour and the Music Museum are all within easy walking distance and there are good restaurants nearby. For the price really you could not ask for more, warm cookies included!

Had a great stay here.  Nice and quite location, walking distance to Seattle Center/ Space Needle.  We flew in on July 4th, so we were exhausted, and didn't want to sit outside for the fireworks.  We planned on watching them on TV (I know, lame!). But, surprisingly, we had a great view from our room.  (The hotel staff didn't think we could see them from our room).  Breakfast was decent.  Knocked off a star for narrow parking spots.

I stayed for 3 weeks while in Seattle for work. The staff was very friendly. One time I walked past a meeting of maids and each one greeted me in turn. It was like a receiving line. Room was always clean, and I always had way more towels than I needed. The suites are fantastic and a great value. I really liked the little touches like the gas fireplace. Bed was very comfortable and the walk in closet was fantastic. The gym facility is very good with 3 treadmills, 2 ellipticals, and 2 stationary bikes, some floor space, and a weight station and machine. They also have tons of channels in the gym so I enjoyed watching out of town hockey there. They provide a shuttle to various offices and the driver was super friendly and made it very convenient. The free breakfasts were also very nice with a roating selection of hot items, a waffle bar, plenty of cereals, baked goods, and fruit, and pretty decent coffee. They also have to go bags for breakfast with an apple, muffin, and cereal bar which were very nice for the mornings when I was running late. A great experience and it made my long stay in Seattle better each day.

Stayed for 4 days, 3 nights.

Pros: James (the manager) was great and very helpful! The stay was pleasant due to the free continental breakfast and wifi (unsecured network though).

Cons: The room above us kept stomping at all hrs of the night. So loud that we thought they were exercising. We didnt phone the front desk the time it happened, bc what could they do? But when I brought it to the attention of the front desk, Phalla (sp), she was not very receptive (couldve offered some sort of accommodation). There was also a pubic hair (or one that looked like it) on the telephone, which was also a reason why we didnt want to use it to call the font desk at night).

i would love to give this hotel 5 stars just based off of the room, rates, area & staff (excluding 1 employee)!! we got checked in to the hotel late due to other events going on the day of our arrival...the 2 gentlemen were very polite & helpful!! we had breakfast in the downstairs area every morning we were there...again the ladies attending to the breakfast were very courteous and polite!! the housekeeping attendants were always friendly when passing and helpful if needed!! the day we got ready to check out...megan!! it was about 6:15am, yes i know it was early and i was barely awake & didn't want to be up either!! but that does not mean b/c you didn't want to be at work that you deserve to treat me like shyt!!! wrong guest!!! i walked up to the desk to check out b/c i specified i didn't want the charges to go on my cc...i wanted to pay with my debit card!! she never smiled....gave me this nasty azz look like i was disturbing her!! had the nerve to look under-eyed at me (and she wasn't wearing glasses)!! it was a gentleman that i guess worked at the front desk as well, that assured me the charges on my cc would not be pending within a few business days. ok cool!! well today is tuesday and the incidentals charge is not pending...however the parking fees are!!! i clearly asked you to charge this to my debit card...which my debit card was charged for parking...so you are charging me twice?!?!?! i'll give this until thursday!!! but really...megan...if you don't like working the morning shift...request night shifts or shifts where your attitude is a lot better!!

This was a great hotel. It was very conveniently located next to a grocery store (QFC) but also to restaurants and Seattle Center. It's a 5 minute walk to the Seattle Center, and on a nice day a 30 minute walk to downtown. The buses are also really close by if you prefer the bus than walking.

The room itself was comfortable and the staff was amazing. We noticied we did not have a mini fridge in our room and when I went downstairs to ask for one, they put one in the room within the hour. There is a lounge near the lobby which is great if you want to make some sandwiches from QFC and eat there before you head out for the day. There is also free wifi in the rooms which is a plus.

The breakfast is also pretty good with a hot breakfast of eggs, oatmeal and sausages and potatoes (changes daily, I believe) and waffles as well as the normal cereal, fruits, muffins, etc...The staff is also very accommodating at breakfast. There was no vegetarian omelet out and the staff was able to provide me just a cheese omelet.

There is on-site parking which costs about $15 for 24 hours or you can try to get lucky with free parking on the streets nearby but check the signs to make sure you can park for more than 1 hour!

I stayed in one of the 2-bedroom 2-bathroom suites with 3 other adults for two nights and we all loved it!  The beds and pillows were very cozy, the room was about the size of my apartment (but it was a suite, so it should have been!).  No problems whatsoever. Fantastic location that was within walking distance to everything I needed/wanted to do that weekend.

Holy breakfast Batman!  This was one of the best free breakfasts I've ever had.  Large selection, including hot food choices and a variety of protien options in addition to the usual breakfast carbs (muffins, pastries, etc).

It was competitively priced with the other hotels in the Seattle Center area, and they have some secure parking spaces.   No problems with the free wifi.  The only complaint was hearing some traffic noise outside, but its a busy area.   Would definitely recommend, and hope to be able to stay there again myself!

Your typical Hampton Inn. Nicer breakfast area than many others I've visited. Located within walking distance of the Space Needle, EMP Museum and the Pacific Science Center.

There is a nearby restaurant called Teriyaki Bowl that I wouldn't have walked into until I noticed it had good Yelp reviews so we stopped by - try the spicy chicken :) There's also a 24 hour QFC market, both of which are located on Taylor Ave. Convenient for late night munchies if you don't want to drive.

The part that irked me? Parking. A small number of narrow spots are in the garage and  limited parking outside of it. I've stayed at dozens of Hampton Inns and never once had to pay for parking so it came as a surprise. Here it's $15/day.

[stayed here for my second annual business trip to the area]

WARNING: if you are a light sleeper request to have a room AWAY from the main road or elevators. I really tried to make it work for the first couple of nights, but couldn't stand being woken at 5am especially since I was there for work.

I asked to be moved and they upgraded me to a really nice suite that was very quiet. The suite had an actual fireplace, which was sweet, but I couldn't figure out how to turn it off so I just kept a window open for the rest of my stay.

The staff at the front desk as well as the hotel staff that helped me move and transport my belongings were professional and courteous. I will definitely stay here again if I return.

We visited Seattle for a conference last month and loved the Hampton because it is within walking distance of many places, including my conference, and because it is a squeaky clean hotel, not just updated.

Also, we didn't intend to fly in on Superbowl Sunday, but we did, and were surprised that the staff at the Hampton set up the lounge with snacks and beverages, and had their 2 televisions on, for the guests to enjoy the game.  That's an unexpected extra.

    Loved this place.

We had a hard time booking a hotel in downtown Seattle for a reasonable price because of a huge Microsoft convention in town that week and found this gem a little farther from downtown.

This is a cute little hotel in the great Queen Anne district. The front desk staff were absolutely fantastic, helpful and professional. The chocolate chip cookies in the evening were a nice touch too.

The room was comfortable and the bathroom was very modern. There was even a "tray" to place your laptop on your lap while working (or watching videos) in bed - a thoughtful feature on the hotel's part.

The breakfast was OK, typical cafeteria-type food. I recommend the pizza-burger place across the street. They have special pricing for food and drinks on certain days.

The hotel seems to be the hotel of choice for visitors who stay in Seattle during their Alaskan cruise vacation, so be prepared for a great rush of people at check-in during the summer cruise season.

Good value, parking is a challenge, great if you drive a Fiat 500 or a Mini Cooper but anything else is a no go.  Ended up parking on the street, and the rental was just a Ford Focus!

Room was excellent, comfy bed and fantastic coffee shop across the street. Skipped the free Hampton Inn breakfast and just had it at the cool funky place.

Strange that our bill displayed on our TV showed the wrong persons name and information but when the paper bill was slipped under our door upon check out mor ning it was the correct name.

Great value, OK location, horrible parking.

Great place to stay at. Location and price really worked out during my stay. It is also walking distance from the space needle. The inn also had a good sized gym that seems fairly new. The room I stayed at was average, it did have a flat screen tv and it was clean. Customer service is friendly.  The rooms unfortunately are not very sound proof so just hope that the neighbors in the next rooms are quiet because you are able to hear conversations being carried out in the hall way with your door close.  Another downer was also the parking spaces. The parking spaces are very tight/small and it can be a bit difficult to park bigger cars such as SUVs or large vans.

Traveled in from Philadelphia for an extended weekend. The location was not downtown however close to great sites such as Chihuly Glass, Space Needle and just a nice outdoors area.  We found a little coffee shop in back of the hotel that was perfect at night. Take a list a pros and cons

    Pros
    Good location
    Great breakfast
    Clean
    Comfortable bed
    A lot of cable stations
    Excellent staff

    Cons
No insulation so you hear the person walking over your head and next door

But overall a great hotel.  My husband and I had a lot of luggage and one of hotel representatives at the front desk was getting off within the hour and offered to take us to a train station as traffic was just horrific. Staff was awesome!

    STAFF:
Amazing, friendly, warm and sincere check-in from Jason, helpful, accommodating, housekeeping staff did a great job and the breakfast buffet staff were always upbeat, friendly, kept the food coming with little to no wait, came around and picked up used dishes and cups. I can't say enough about the staff.
    LOCATION:
Great!!! Lots of restaurants around, a major grocery store a short block away, quiet, non-busy neighborhood, walking distance to the space needle and museums.
    EXTRA PLUSES:
Clean exercise room, lots of good food at the breakfast buffet!, 24 hour coffee, tea, hot chocolate, washers and dryers available, a small "convenience" store with candy, frozen food, etc., warm baked cookies in the evenings, To Go breakfast bags if you can't make the breakfast buffet, THEY PUT CONDITIONER in the bathrooms!!!
I won't stay anywhere else again in Seattle!!

This hotel is one of the best I have had the pleasure of staying in. All the staff treat you like family. The rooms are clean and well kept. The eatting area, halls and front desk are clean and well kept. The staff here always treat customers very well. We stayed here for 5 months and from day one, we loved our stay and was very sad when our last day arrived. We will absolutely stay here again. Thank you for such a memorable experience. We appreciate you, James, Jason, both Kyles, BRUCE, Mike, Kim, Maiko, the cleaning staff, Terefe, and many others. This establishment is one of the best in Seattle by far. We love and miss you guys. Thanks again for making our stay great.

Like any hotel, there are pluses and minuses.

    Plus:
+Really clean rooms that look like they've been recently refreshed
+Super nice staff - friendly and helpful with recommends
+Lots of restaurants within a few blocks of the hotel, plus a big grocery store. FYI, avoid the conveyor belt sushi and thank me later.
+Decent amenities - there's a workout room with good equipment.

    Minuses:
    - Not really "in" downtown. Close to the Space Needle but if you want to hit up Pike Plce, you'll need a cab
-Not a restful sleep - both the walls and ceilings are paper thin. I could hear people walking around above me and conversation from the hall. The guy next to me must've had sleep apnea + IBS because I could hear him snoring and using the bathroom....A LOT. (I'm not a light sleeper BTW)

If you decide to stay here, pack earplugs.

The location of the hotel is perfect. With great access to downtown (Space Needle), Queen Anne, and Seattle Pacific University. It's clean and updated. The beds were super comfy and there were plenty of squishy pillows.  They have a full breakfast with eggs, oatmeal and even make-your-own waffles. Also free Wi-Fi. There is an underground parking garage for $15 a day.

Enjoyed our two nights stay here.
    Pros -
    1. Super friendly and helpful staff.
    2. Clean room and comfortable bed.
    3. Walking distance to Space Needle; easy access to public transportation to get to Pike Place.
    4. Surrounded by many good restaurants and grocery stores.
    Cons -
    1. No fridge in the room
    2. Walls are not very sound proof
We took the advice of renting a smaller car as the parking is indeed quite tight in the garage.  The fact we need hotel key to get into the garage and the elevator made me feel secure.

Wow! I was very surprised. The service from the personnel is great. Everything you can expect after flying so long and being tired. Short walk to space needle and attractions. The hotel gave us a list of restaurants and the "crow" was nice. Food and service was great too. We are leaving at 5 am and they offered to pack us a small breakfast... Amazing service. Enjoy...the people make it great!

Enjoyed my one night stay here, very friendly employees, secured parking in a garage with a gate that is accessible only with your room key, I felt safe staying here alone for work.
The complimentary breakfast was great, waffles, breakfast meats, cheese omelette, yogurt, fresh fruit, coffee, muffins. I also enjoy the 24 hour free hot chocolate, tea or coffee/decaf coffee and the evening complimentary cookies are great!
The room itself was comfortable, Neutrogena amenities.
Walking distance to the space needle but at night, I felt more comfortable driving, the space needle is right down the road. A little far from Pikes Place, so I'd drive to Pike's Place.
All in all, a great stay!

Okay I have to admit I was not expecting much from this hotel. However, it was AMAZING! I showed up early and the held my bag, offered me coffee and snacks- anything to help. Then- the next day the woman remember my name "hello again Ms. Tucker have a great day". They even offered to print some papers for me when I called to ask if they had a business center- and they did! Plus, every time you walk in someone is smiling and greeting you warmly. Awesome stay- thank you!

The suites and the hotel overall are great for families or really anyone (though a room would suffice for a couple).

Very, very clean.  People were helpful and informative.  Conveniently located.  Breakfast was good.  Excellent business center.  Comfortable sleeping experience, even on the sofa bed.

I can't think of one thing that was negative.

A relatively affordable hotel, within walking distance of the Space Needle, downtown and amazing amounts of food. Or, with a 24-hr QFC (grocery store) next door, you could just bring the party to you.

The hotel staff greets you with a smile every time you want into and out of this place. If you're a secret agent trying not be noticed, be aware because they'll notice you anyways.

Two improvement points: (1) breakfast is free, but a little lacking on options and the eggs are downright terrible. (2) my room didn't have a fridge, and beer won't cool itself.

At least point (1) is tempered by the presence of the Citizen basically on the back porch of this hotel, which makes incredible breakfast.

A clean comfortable hotel with a generous breakfast buffet included in the room rate.  I've stayed here several times on business trips and have found the front desk staff kind, helpful and friendly.  Like most newer Hamptons, the rooms are decent sized and reasonably priced and come with breakfast.

This is a great downtown location (close to the Space Needle) with reasonable rates (AAA rate is great).  If you are into walking you could easily get down to Pikes, and the Waterfront... at very least its a quick drive or reasonable cab fare.

This Hampton is one building but it appears they added on the "suite" part of the hotel later which has it's own entrance in the lower lobby (although you can get to it from the main lobby).  The hotel staff are incredibly friendly and helpful... just like all the other reviews state.  I did take the advice of someone on here and requested a room in the back since ... yes, it is true... the walls seem paper thin and you can hear 'stuff'.  I was on the 6th floor which is the top floor, so I did not hear people walking above me which I guess is a plus.  The rooms are very clean and the bathrooms roomy.

There are several restaurants within a very easy walk, including a coffee shop - Cafe Vitta (makes a killer Latte and super fresh pastries).  Citizen which is across the street from the back is open for breakfast if you want to forego the Hampton breakfast.  There is also a BIG grocery store right across the street which is a nice plus.

Now... the parking.  What can I say other than what everyone says is true - it is really no bueno.  What do I mean by that you ask?  The spaces are very small -- there are some "SUV" marked spaces but those are the size for a regular car AND they fill up FAST.  There are two parking garages - one under the original hotel, one under the Suites part but the spaces are small.  I heard a guest getting super upset about there being no parking in any spot one evening so I am guessing they may not have enough parking if the hotel is running on the full side.

My favorite thing about this Hampton?  They have this amazing ice water dispenser in the front lobby that has this core thing filled with fruit for flavor infusion... needless to say I was drinking cup loads of water during my stay.

Just finished a 2 night stay in the Inn section. Paid $159 +$15 per night parking.
The Hotel is what you would expect for a Hampton, room was clean, TV had lots of channels, amenities were fine.  Did not have the breakfast  Staff was very helpful with some directions.

I realize parking in Seattle is a cluster and this property is no different. Very small spaces and way too many poles in the parking garages, thought for sure I was going to dent or ding my rental, but made it through.

Area is great, very close to Seattle Center, easy access to the I5, 24 hour grocery in the next block, 10 mins to U Dub.

Will stay here again if price compettitve

Perfect stay! I certainly plan to return.

This location was amazing, less than ten minute walk to the EMP museum, Space Needle, and tons of cute restaurants/bars. I felt very safe walking around this area, even at night with my sister. Walking distance to EVERYTHING it seems. You can walk to several parks, you could walk to Pike Place, and downtown shopping. If you don't want to walk over a mile then Safeco Field and other downtown attractions are maybe a 5/10 minute Uber ride. The breakfast was an above average continental breakfast I'd say; omelets, waffle-maker, bagels, oatmeal, sausage, fresh fruit, and coffee all day. They had a cute little water refreshment area too which I took advantage of on my stay. It was nice after walking around to return to some cucumber or berry water to replenish. The service was top-notch. They were always so friendly and accommodating. I forgot my floss and they had my back, we needed a corkscrew and paper plates at one point, they were there again. I only wished they had some type of sitting area outside but besides that, it was a beautiful stay. This Hampton Inn really exceeded my expectations and I will definitely be keeping Hampton Inn's in mind for future stays.
