In the middle of moving and needed a last-minute place for the night.  Melodee was kind to wait for us and offer us the Rose room.  It was a needed restful night in a nice place.  Thank you!!!

Great hospitality, great breakfast, comfortable rooms... All excellent! And Melodie is very personable and welcoming to diverse types of guests. Our stay in the Blue Room couldn't have been better.

Mildred's on Capital hill was nice and very accommodating to kids. Having beautiful Volunteer park across the street was a huge bonus. The breakfast was very delicious and satisfying. They are located close enough to walk to local restaurants for supper and we enjoyed sipping wine on the porch in the evenings.

A fun and kitschy place to stay on capitol hill.
The owner was out of town during our stay, but her sons were fantastic, they were friendly and knowledgeable about local sight seeing to take in, as well as the history of the location.

We stayed in the Rose room, which is on the top floor, it has its own bathroom, and even a little bistro set on an outside patio which was a nice place to take our coffee in the morning. And since our stay coincided with Sea Fair week, we were able to see the Blue Angels from our rooftop patio which was a treat.

We spent 4 wonderful days in Seattle and stayed in this B&B. The location is outstanding. Access is Seattle's good bus system is literally at the front door. 10 or 15 minute bus ride to downtown. The house is across from the beautiful Volunteer Park. You can walk to dinner at a variety of restaurants. And, you will want to walk the neighborhood which is just about as beautiful as they get.

The B&B is beautiful and owned and run for many years by Melody, who is a lovely person, The place is  comfortable, well-appointed, and laid back.  Fine breakfast.

There's a cat. Very nice cat. Do avoid if you have a cat allergy. We don't.

Would absolutely stay here again and again if we have an opportunity to return.

You can't ask for a nicer accommodation on Capitol Hill. The owner, Melodee, told us this B&B was the first in Seattle and that's easy to believe. This accommodation screams "B&B" from it's old-school exterior charm to the warm, cozy rooms, fireplace, comfy beds and breakfast with fellow travelers.

With a location just across the street from a great and green park, Mildred's sits on the Seattle bus route for an easy 10 minute ride downtown. Local eateries line 15th Avenue within walking distance.

I don't know about you but once you've enjoyed all the hospitality of a fine B&B, you never want to go back to the Radisson or Best Western.

Fresh baked cookies were always there, next to the tea cart, awaiting your itchy little fingers.

P.S., do NOT look for any signs identifying the house as "Mildred's" for they do not exist.

This will be my first lodging consideration on my next visit north.

Great bed and breakfast! The owner, Melodee, was very friendly and kind. Her son was the one who served breakfast and he was great! He helped us with figuring out what to do and where to go around the city and genuinely wanted to know about us. Everything was fabulous! Definitely will come back!
