The room was clean, nothing fancy, fridge and microwave in the room. The temperature control for the room was useless! We had to call the front desk to "reset" the system.

There was no wifi in the rooms, only in the common areas.

Most of the staff were friendly and polite.

Nothing fancy and definitely outdated in its decor, but clean, nice staff and good price. I got a double room for $99.99, which included a nice complimentary breakfast. Unlike some hotels that just put out some cold cereal and milk, Hudson House has a little cafe which they give you vouchers for. You then get to pick your hot breakfast off a menu. Granted, the meals aren't anything huge, but they're plenty, especially for free.

The pillows were terrible (way too soft and small), but the beds themselves were comfy and the room seemed clean. Though it was a nonsmoking room, it smelled like stale smoke, but it had first floor windows into a courtyard, so at least we could open the windows and get a little fresh air. The pool facilities seemed nice, though I didn't have time to use them. I appreciated the in-room fridge.

The hotel is dated but has a charm this is undeniable. Our room was dated overall. The bathroom had been updated. It was very clean. The pool area was great for the kids. Bring towels from home or your room as there are none in the pool area.  Breakfast is included and cooked to order from a small menu. You can order additional for an additional cost, but for the average person the portion was plenty. The staff was so friendly as well as the guests. I do want to note that some rooms have been updated- we saw them as we headed to the pool. There is an online reservation but you still have to call the hotel. Just call and skip the online reservation. If you are looking for luxury this isn't the place, but if you are looking for a quaint small town Wisconsin hotel then this is your place!

I know nothing about the rooms of this place or the hotel experience.  I went here for some bingo i saw advertised supporting the Hudson youth sports teams and it was held in an upstairs room and was fun.  There is a bar downstairs that seemed to be a little happening hot spot for a few people.  It was busy and cozy.  i would definately stop in here for a cocktail in the evening again.  I noticed they have a lot of stuff going on at this place like weight watchers meetings and events in fact it was advertising the Righteous Brothers are coming...now that is bonafide righteous.

We stayed here as a part of a block of rooms for a cousin's wedding for 2 nights.

This place is extraordinarily outdated. At least in our room, I am certain that a dime had not been spent updating within the last 25 years.

The whole hotel, including our room, had a smelly smoke-like odor to it. The pool had an odd odor to it also. Very off-putting overall.

When we made the reservation, we were told that we had 2 queen beds, but they turned out to be full beds (this becomes a problem when one occupant is 6'3").

WiFi worked well throughout the hotel, but in our room 3 of the wall outlets did not work at all. This became problematic when 3 people were trying to charge cell phones at the same time.

The one bright spot of our stay was the breakfast. The small restaurant inside had a few different breakfast options (eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles, etc)  which were cooked to order and we're complimentary with the stay.

Overall, for the price paid for the room, I expected a more modern, not-smelly facility. I won't be going back.

This will definitely be my Hudson hotel of choice.

This hotel is not fancy, but it is everything you need and clean.  I recently came with a large group and they were extremely accommodating.  They even gave us a discounted rate, without any request.

One thing I noticed that I really dig, they have motion censors on the lights, so they are trying to do their best to conserve energy.

I stayed in a King Room.  It was a good size, with a desk, recliner, fridge, microwave and its own heating/cooling unit.  The bed was comfortable, but I could have used some more (or larger) pillows.  I used all three on the bed for myself.  The bathroom was very clean and had nice, new counter tops that appeared to be granite.

Each guest receives a voucher for breakfast in their quaint cafe.  There are not many choices, but it is served fresh and a heck-of-a-lot better than most 'serve yourself' continental breakfasts.  The eggs were fried in butter - butter! - and looked delicious; I had serious plate envy after I received my fruit and toast.

The pool area is nice and big (the pool was 7'6" deep!) with a shower, hot tub, large pool and sauna, you can't go wrong.

Added bonus:  a liquor store and two pizza places within 2 blocks.

Thank you Hudson House for being awesome.
