Watersedge bed & breakfast is at the end of a small private road, bordered by more than 400' of private lakefront, this property was used by many notorious gangsters in the 20's.
This waterfront B&B is still, and more than ever, a get-a-way from the stress and the hustle and bustle of modern life. Its location near Lake Geneva allows for many unique activities.

A friend and I chose this B & B because we wanted to 'get away' somewhere near Chicago, but didn't want to be in the thick of the tourist scene in Lake Geneva.
Watersedge was perfect. It has I think 4 B&B rooms (and a separate rental apartment). We stayed in the suite, which has a gas fireplace, a beautiful kingsize canopy bed, and a daybed. The adjoining deck overlooks the lake and has comfortable deck furniture. Downstairs is a grand piano, a large, beautiful living room overlooking Lake Como (about 10 feet away), a large patio deck, a gorgeous dining room from where we were served delicious handmade breakfasts by our hosts, Marge and Dom.
The inn has a history which I understand involves gangsters in the 30s. That's fun but you don't have to know about it to enjoy this place. It's far enough from the tourist crowd to just relax, relax, relax. But you can hop in your car and in 5 minutes you can have Lake Geneva too.
Marge and Dom are friendly and are happy to help with advice about what to see in the area. One day we were there, Marge told us about "Old World Wisconsin," a 500+ acre site in/near Kettle Moraine Park, where there are villages of buildings from 19th century Wisconsin, grouped into different themes like "Danish" or "German Farm." The buildings have interpreters who are actively working in their environments, whether it is roasting coffee or hammering out a tool in the blacksmith's shop.

We had an incredibly delightful weekend at the Watersedge Bed & Breakfast this past weekend. My wife stumbled across it on a random search for B&Bs in the Lake Geneva area - and we're very glad she did.
The facility was beautiful with a very large common room, comfortable furniture, a TV with a huge DVD collection, puzzles and games - a nice dining room with tea and snacks always available - and a few common outdoor deck areas as well. Our suite was very roomy, with a king and two twin beds, and an outdoor deck! There are a few very good restaurants/bars within a quarter-mile walk of Watersedge. And the town of Lake Geneva is only a few miles down the road.
Breakfast on both days we stayed was very good - a quiche-like egg bake one day, with fruit, Danish, cereal and other available foods. A rather amazing French-toast-bread-pudding concoction the next day. It's served at 9am. Though it's a bed & "breakfast", we had planned on getting breakfast out one day - but we're glad we did not!
The owners, Marge & Dom, were very nice and accommodating. They were not intrusive, and when we did gather with them at breakfast - we really enjoyed their company.
We will be going back - my wife considered is one of the better finds of her life. We were looking for a relaxing weekend; we found just that. It is much quieter than Lake Geneva, yet the town is easily accessible. I would recommend it to my friends in a heartbeat.
