Great hotel experience for two nights.  Great location, included breakfast, complete gut-rehab.  The staff was solid and we enjoyed our stay.  They have a decent fitness center, but unfortunately no pool.  Parking is reasonable ($15/day) and the location can't be beat for easy access to multiple areas of Milwaukee.  We paid less than $65/night on Expedia, which was a bargain.  Recommended.

The staff at this hotel is the best I've ever experienced. Each employee that I encountered was very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay so much more because of that. The hotel is renovated and very nice looking. My room and the lobby were extremely clean and tended to. I asked the front desk several questions and was given helpful answers and suggestions. We had a great time and I will always stay here when I come to Milwaukee for summerfest.

This hotel is so loud with doors slamming and bathrooms from adjoining rooms I felt we had people in our room all night.  The ice machine is located on the third floor and without signage.  People were under the impression that room 307 was the room with the ice and a constant person at our door and knocking was annoying all night long.  When asked for a discount on the room, we were offered $30.00 off for two nights.  The room was $199.00 per night and did include breakfast, but so do many other hotels that are much more comfortable.

The rooms are incredibly small and for two people, it made for tight quarters.

Won't be back to the Fairfield Inn but will go back to the Doubletree, Hilton or even the Residence Inn.

When I learned that my hotel stay was in a former Best Western, I was a little concerned. It turns out that my concern was completely unfounded because this is a nice modern and very new feeling hotel.

They must have completely gutted it because everything - the check-in desks, the lobby area, the breakfast area, the exercise area, the hallways and especially the rooms - was nice and clean and still had that "new hotel" smell. I've stayed in four other downtown Milwaukee hotels (the Hilton, the Doubletree, the Courtyard, and the Residence Inn) and this one is the best.

Free morning breakfast is pretty good. Scrambled eggs every day and a different protein each day (sausage, ham or bacon), breads and a toaster, a waffle maker, hard boiled eggs, fruit, coffee and yogurts. Comfortable seating area with televisions turned to a cable news channel.

I like this hotel. It's now my "go to" in downtown.

    Excellent hotel!

One star off for the cost of parking which is in a lot 2 blocks down from the hotel and not necessarily the safest of neighborhoods. Beds are also a little hard but I am used to softer beds...

The breakfast is great! I would suggest asking for a top floor room we had no issues with noise! Would certainly stay here again and probably just choose a different parking option.

This is a fabulous hotel. It's beautiful. I agree that the rooms are small. But that's what happens when you have a hotel room in the downtown of nearly any city. I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was safe and secure, beautifully decorated, and a good value for your dollar. I agree that parking is less than ideal as being $15 for outdoor parking about 200 feet from the hotel. But there was a parking lot attendant there even late at night and a lot of lighting. I felt it was safe enough and with in and out privileges, I think it's a good deal.

The room was well appointed. There was a nice desk, which pulled out on wheels. Lamps with plugs for your electronics. A nice sized small refrigerator and coffee maker. Big windows with black-out shades. Plenty of towels and toiletries in the bathroom. A hair dryer, ironing board and iron. Ask for a corner room if you are concerned about the size of the rooms. The beds were very comfy.
