Sometimes the food is good, sometimes not.  When it is good, the chicken sandwich with tomato and mozzarella is really good!

I stay here often during the week. It servers a business clientele and is located as such. The rooms are fresh and the recent addition greatly expanded capacity and added the restaurant. Breakfasts are pretty standard here, but omelets are cooked to order. I've never been disappointed by a dinner and the lunch soup & salad bar is a good value. All in all, a very solid hotel with excellent staff.

This is not a standard Hilton Garden- it is an old hotel converted to a HG.  I have stayed in this hotel maybe a dozen times.  Not by choice, but by default.  There are two choices in this area: the Comfort Suites and Hilton Garden.   Despite the Hilton points, I have bailed on this place and switched to the Comfort Suites.  It is slightly better.

Pros:  Hilton points, adequate restaurant/bar on site

Cons:  Runway-length hallways, sometimes no hot water, terrible breakfast (food and service)

This is one of those perfectly reliable hotels which meets all requirements perfectly, with no touch of interest or style. It's in a business park area, safe and completely boring. It was clean and comfortable, and my only complaint (minor) was a few women, probably from a wedding party, who had had a bit too much to drink.

Whenever I work in Menomonee Falls, I stay here.  It's currently undergoing construction, but it doesn't seem to get in the way.  I find the rooms to be spacious and clean.  You're greated by a HUGE tray full of cookies but have no fear, there is a large gym you can work off those extra calories.

The rooms have refidgerators which is a must for me.  The gym has 3 treadmills, an eliptical, a bike, and a whole rack of free weights.  It's open too so you don't feel like you're stuffed in a box.

I read some non-Yelp reviews and when I saw the one from a guy complaining about having to pay $150 for a room and not being able to get a smoking room, I simply had to stay here. Really.
This place is freshly renovated, very beautiful. I didn't see any cookies awaiting me. No breakkie included :(
But our junior suite had 2 flat screen tvs, fridge, microwave & was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Still a better choice than the Hampton Inn, which I thought was Hilton but apparently is now owned by Carlson?Pool was nice, workout room great w/ brand spanking new machines.
They served coffee in the lobby in the morning but pulled it by the time we were checking out. Me no happy. But I'd stay here again. If their Allgauer's is anything like the one in Northbrook, I'll do their brunch.

The standard room is recently remodeled and very clean. It's appointed with new micro and fridge and the bedding is very nice.

The service and food were AWFUL!

Pool was freezing and the hot tub was dirty.

I stay here often.
Sometimes two weeks out of every month often.
The rooms are okay, the breakfast is good.
Tonight a fire alarm went off for no reason and that irks me.
But for the most part this is a solid place to lay ones head.
Traveling for work as much as I do sucks; a comfortable bed, nice fluffy towels and a custom egg white omelet help ease my pain.
But the housekeeping staff could definitely take it up a notch.
I'm just saying.

I didn't stay here, but my parents did when they came to visit me 2 years ago, and they loved it.

They stayed for one week, left for a couple of days down to Nashville, then returned to Milwaukee for another week. During that time, the Hilton held their bags with (most of) their belongings so that they wouldn't have to lug more stuff than they needed for two nights in Nashville. I thought that was really nice of the hotel. On this same note, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. My parents can be a little over demanding  and critical at times, yet they had nothing but nice things to say about the staff.

The rooms were spic and span and obviously newly renovated. New furniture and nice bathrooms. The toilets flush with a vengeance. And no smokey smell in the rooms either! The hallways are long, as others have said, but who cares?

We spent a lot of time at the pool. I was very very pregnant at the time, and the clean pool accommodations were like therapy. The pool was cold, so it took time to acclimate to the temperature, but again, no big deal.

Fresh cookies were in the lobby everyday and my parents and I took advantage of that! They were delicious.

There aren't a lot of things to do around the area. It's in a business park area on the very edge of town, and there is only a little strip mall and two restaurants within walking distance. But that's to be expected. It's not in downtown Milwaukee, rather 20-25 minutes away. But it does have easy access to the freeway.

I stay here every time I am in town. Staff is always very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. My rooms are usually clean, however, sometimes the remotes and refrigerator handles are "gunky"  looking. I always travel with Clorox wipes anyway. The in house dining is okay. Meals and service are good here. If you choose to go out for a meal, prepare for a bit of a drive. This hotel is a bit remote, not having more than a pub nearby - but convenient to the area I visit.

Bathrooms are large, clearn, and have optional bath mat (no, thanks). Counters are marble, and towels are soft and clean smelling. I am not a big fan of towels IN the back of the shower, which is exactly there they are. There was plenty of room to put them outside the shower. The toiletries are Neutrogena products. Shoe mit included! I really appreciate that, especially when it is raining or snowing out.

When they finish remodeling and replace the older "gunky" appliances, it will be a solid 4 star, but not this review, though. My TV remote had all the numbers and letters worn off.

I had an excellent trip to the Hilton Garden Inn at Milwaukee Park Place.  The staff was exceptional during my visit.  The front desk staff was very courteous and extremely accommodating, and the shuttle drivers were very helpful and fun, as I made use of the shuttle van several times.

The rooms were clean, GREAT beds, yummy cookies in the afternoon, and the business center was very useful.

Admittedly I didn't eat in the restaurant or use the pool.

Welcome to the Middle of Nowhere. There was nothing by this Hilton Garden Inn (maybe a pub a mile down) but chances are you didn't stay here for it's frills but for the convenience of it's location rather (near major HQs).

I waltzed (yeah really I danced) into the Hilton Garden Inn and found the hotel restaurant in the lobby/waiting area and a whole plate of fresh baked cookies on the Front Desk counter. Cookies! Again! What is it with the Midwest and cookies? Here is how I checked in at the hotel.

Moi: "Hi, I'm checking in."
Monsieur: "Last name, Miss?"
Moi: "A------. Did you bake these cookies yourself?"
Picture this- A large silver platter of sugar, reeses pieces, chocolate chip, and oatmeal raisin cookies decorated with a doily.
Monsieur: "No, but I watched the person who did bake them."
Moi: giggle giggle. smile. "Which one is the best cookie?"
Monsieur: "Definitely the oatmeal raisin."
Moi: "Okay. I'll take this one."
Monsieur: "Miss A------, would you like to put down a credit card for incidentals?"
Moi: "Do I have to?"
Monsieur: "No, you don't have to."
Moi: "Okay, I won't then. I don't think I will be doing any rockstar partying anyway." giggle giggle.

And I walk away with my bags up to my room. I didn't even show ID upon checking in. Maybe I wasn't Miss A------ afterall....

I didn't party like a rockstar but I did enjoy the digs. I ordered room service which was fun but truthfully the food at the Hilton Garden Inn is not good at all. It tastes like it is from Costco and not fresh. Everything was definitely prepackaged/precooked and heated up. Also, my room service did not come in rolled on a cart. Instead it was carried on a tray by some woman and they forgot my salad. The staff here also does not wear uniforms. The complimentary breakfast was better than a continental one but still not great. The pancakes were rock hard and the waffle batter was just thick. BTW, I messed up their waffle iron because I only sprayed one side with non stick spray. Oops.. My bad! The lady was nice about it though. I felt bad as I watched her pick my waffle remnants off of the iron. I took a poptart package to go. I also don't recommend their coffee at all.

Overall, the hotel rooms are excellent. And clean. And the toilet flushes. The bathrooms are large. I had two double beds (one for me and the other for me to pile all my clothes and junk on), a desk, a microwave, a fridge, an ironing board, and Neutrogena products (mouthwash, sewing kit, shower cap, q-tips, cotton, make-up remover, shampoo, conditioner, and two soaps). The beds were very comfy and the pillows were fluffy but also the kind your head sinks into. I slept like a baby. With the light on.

The Inn offers free high speed internet access and printing. The best thing about  the Hilton Garden Inn is that it offers a free shuttle service to your office. It's like having your own driver. Just schedule your pick up and drop offs at the Front Desk and you get door to door service. I highly recommend staying here if you don't like driving in an unfamiliar city, especially in bad winter weather conditions, or if you just want a bargain. Yes, the Hilton Garden Inn only charges $77/night. That's a deal for this type of room and van service.

I said I'd stay here again but that was before I saw the Intercontinental in downtown Milwaukee. We're talking the difference between a 4 star hotel and a 2 star for just twice the cost. In NY/SF dollars that's chump change. Sigh. I felt like I was slumming it.

Edit: 05/02/08

Rating just dropped to one star from 2. We requested non smoking rooms and got the smoker's lounge. Response to complaint, "Well you don't aways get what you want." One of my gals had asthma and the smoke aggravated it. The other girl had to sleep with the window open 3 nights in a row. My company gives the Hilton Garden Inn a lot of business and this is just unacceptable.

This is a large hotel with full convention center and services with full restaurant service. Staff couldn't have been nicer!

The rooms were spic and span and seemed newly renovated. New furniture and nice bathrooms.

It's in a business park area on the very edge of town, Not much in walking distance but if your staying here you already have a car! It's not in downtown Milwaukee, rather 20-25 minutes away. But it does have easy access to the freeway. Overall a good choice in North Milwaukee.

I wasn't impressed.

Especially with the paper thin walls. I think it was even gawd-awful green carpets in the hallways. Eww! This place needs a renovation....

I'm HiltonHonors Diamond, so I've stayed in my fair share of Hilton properties.

Staff was friendly, but there are better places in Milwaukee. (IMHO).

I stayed here twice already for a quiet weekend away. My second visit had a few issues, but the staff acted quickly to resolve them, offering a new room and complimentary drink & breakfast coupons. After my visit, the manager followed up with me to ensure I was satisfied. I was very impressed!

Very expansive and large for Hilton Garden Inn standards..the restaurant has a large menu, a departure from most HGI.    The restaurant is Kosher, so it provides that option to customers.      The gym has many pieces of equipment but most of the TVs do not work.

Rooms were ok...basic, clean.   Breakfast was OK, the buffet had many options but some of the fruit did not taste fresh, the waffle mix was separating (oil and batter - did not look fresh).

Overall a good choice in North Milwaukee.

This is one of the biggest and strangely structured HGI, I have ever checked in to...and now its home most Mondays through Thursdays. Once inside, its like any other HGI.

The front desk is helpful. The restaurant staff is great and the restaurant seems to be a popular choice. There is nothing much around, so unless you are ready to venture out in this winter, this is your best bet. The portions are huge and give Big Tex a run for its money! The food is decent though. The bar is usually filled with road warriors sharing their stories. They also offer a full breakfast with made to order eggs, pancakes, waffles, fruit, juices....you get the idea.

The rooms have that same worn off look, begging for a makeover. The beds are comfortable. The wi-fi is flaky on my phone, but pretty solid on my laptop.

They have a Managers reception on Wednesdays with beer and wine and some appetizers. Never made it to one of them.

This HGI gets filled up quickly for the week, so make your reservations well in advance.

Their banquet rooms are absolutely beautiful. The food was amazing at the wedding I was at, and the banquet staff was very friendly and prompt. They ran the night very well, and the managers were attentive to the bride and groom and their vendors. Really great sounding house sound system, too. I was particularly impressed with that.

The hotel is not a typical Hilton Garden. It appears to be an older hotel that they updated and rebranded as Hilton Garden. It is very large relative to others.

While we were there, it was a big wedding weekend in Milwaukee. Hotels in and around the city were completely booked and I believe we got the last room available here. The room was spacious and comfortable. There was a slight mildew smell as we entered the room, but we stopped noticing it quickly. Surprisingly, the bed was rather hard. The pillow and comforters were goose down which normally would be great, but I have an allergy to down. I didn't realize what I was sleeping on until about 2am when I awoke sneezing. I cannot fault the hotel for that at all, but if you too have a down allergy, be sure to request foam pillows.

We ate dinner at the restaurant. Their "all you can eat" Prime Rib buffet was a tremendous bargain at $15.95 - well under their typical menu prices. While the spread was not huge, the food and the desserts were all excellent. The service was outstanding.

I would also classify the overall service at the hotel as outstanding. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

Our only disappointment was the location. It is quite far from downtown Milwaukee and there was nothing really to do around there. We asked the front desk about local restaurants - they have a printed list of the restaurants in the area, but most of them require a drive back into the city.

So, next time, we plan further in advance and find something closer to Milwaukee. If you have something you need to do up around this location, the hotel is a great value with wonderful service. But, if you want to simply lay back and see what Milwaukee has to offer, stay downtown.

Stayed here two nights in February....the cold winds of winter ripped and howled outside, but I was comfortable in my bed. Food downstairs at the mini-restaurant was delicious- as was the AWESOME New Glarus beer.....mmmm. Clean, friendly, and worth it. Got my points, and used the treadmill (3.2 miles).
Water was hot, towels were soft - what more can I say.
