I have stayed at nicer hotels and definitely some hotels not as nice.  This place wins for being an all around great place to stay.  Great bar, decent restaurant, friendly staff and an unpretentious atmosphere.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Airport in Milwaukee on a Tuesday night while in town to meet some friends at the Wisconsin State Fair. While searching for a place to stay, I saw on their website that they were pet-friendly (I was traveling with my two medium sized dogs) and they had a $25 pet fee. VERY REASONABLE!

Everything was great upon check in, they moved me to a room on the first floor near the door so it was easy to take my pups in and out. They have a large grassy area for walks away from the main road and the hotel is gorgeous. I am not sure when they opened, but they look brand new. The staff upon check in was great. The room was spacious and clean. It even had a microwave and mini-fridge in the room!

When I went to check out on Wednesday morning, I looked at my receipt under my door and saw a $50 pet fee. I thought I recalled the fee only being $25, so I looked at their website again. Sure enough, to quote directly from their website: "Our Pampered Pet program allows for domestic pets under 80 lbs. Goodie bag for your pet upon arrival. A $25 non refundable pet fee is collected at the time of check in. Pet Deposit: 25 USD per stay"

When I pulled up their website on my iPhone at check out questioning the girl working the desk on the fee. She said "It's $25 per dog. That's our policy." I said, "But that's not what your website says" She responded with "that's our policy."

I was quite upset, as I was on vacation for the entire week and had planned my budget accordingly and now was assessed an extra $25 that I was not expecting.

The hotel was gorgeous and I would be happy to stay there again ... WITHOUT my dogs. I know that it doesn't take twice the cleaning to clean up the room for two dogs versus one dog. The part that upset me the most was the girl at the desk at check out would not even acknowledge that their website says $25 per stay --- NOT PER DOG.

I asked the girl how I would have known that it was per dog and not an overall fee. She said "All of our guests that travel with their dogs know it's per dog." So I asked her "How do they know??? It's NOT what your website says!! She was very snippy.

Even if that is their policy, I should have been 1) notified at check in so I was not surprised and 2) have the policy stated correctly on their website so I was informed up front and I could budget appropriately.

I would recommend the hotel for just a regular stay, but I would NOT recommend if you're traveling with a pet. CALL and ask them their policy before booking.

Stayed again over Christmas weekend. Tons of staff everywhere so it helped make check in fast. We had the King Suite with a whirlpool in the room. SUPER CLEAN! We needed extra pillows and they came with 4 extra ones!
The pool and hot tub are clean and nice for those cold winter nights. I recommend though that they get a pin ball machine in the game room. I would have played all night!

I requested a top floor room on the first night of my 3-night stay and was told there weren't any available so was put on the 2nd. When I got to the room and found that there must have been a herd of water buffalo prancing around the room above, I asked to be moved and magically, a third-floor room appeared. Huh? I got a comp for breakfast from the manager for the inconvenience.

Went to the lobby the first morning and asked if they had any decaf coffee. Nope. Was told the restaurant had it, so went in there and they weren't ready for breakfast but said they'd start a pot of decaf (they don't open til 7.) They weren't ready for customers at 7, but did put on the coffee.

My third-floor room bordered a truck terminal in the vicinity, so during the night, trailers were being moved around and unceremoniously dropped by the yard goat, so repeated crashes and thunks were heard from outside during the night. Fortunately, I had earplugs and a white noise machine.

Twice during my stay my cardkey quit working - each time after I had chosen to take the stairs up rather than the elevator. The staff seemed not to be bothered by this at all, saying that this happens from time to time - but twice in a 3-night stay?

The staff at this hotel seem inexperienced and not very friendly or accommodating.
Since I had a priceline deal, I really didn't have a choice of hotels, but if I have one in the future I think I'd stay elsewhere.

I don't rate on Yelp very often but I felt the need to voice my approval. This hotel is right by the airport, super convenient and affordable. The 2 queen room was actually quite spacious. But honestly the best part was how welcome and at home the staff made us feel. James at the front desk offered us a shuttle so we could go out enjoy the night rather than having a taxi and Steve, the driver was absolutely incredible. He showed us the best places around to hang out. My cousin and I being from California, we would have had no idea where to go without him. He even took us to a new location after the first place died out. Super friendly and with great, quick, and professional service. We will definitely come back on our next Lambeau trip. Steve make sure you visit the West Coast whenever you get the chance!

I've stayed here a few times and have been pleased with my accommodations. Large, spacious rooms. Very welcoming staff. There is a restaurant/bar downstairs that is open for dinner and happy hour. I believe they serve breakfast, too. Nice location and lots of eating options close by.

When I found out my coworkers booked a Holiday Inn, I was a little disappointed because I am a Marriott person. I kept an open mind, but proceeded to get continually disappointed. Never again.
This location is currently undergoing renovations. When I entered my room after a long day at the plant I wanted to take a little nap before dinner. Too bad there were saws and hammers pounding away. My room also came with decorations! The previous visitor must have had a party and the maid did not collect the streamers on the walls and floor. Odd and gross.
Then I decided to get my heart rate going by running a couple of miles on the treadmill. This was the worst hotel gym set up ever. There was one TV behind the treadmills in a tiny room with a huge mirror. I felt like I was in the other runner's space, and left immediately. Next I tried the bar. The restaurant area was also torn into pieces and the bar was 4 chairs next to a bookshelf like structure. When I paid for my beer with a card, the bartender had to go into another room to run it. This took a solid 5 minutes. The longest 5 minutes ever since I had to stand very close to the family sitting at the bar, I mean 4 chairs by a book shelf, having a very personal conversation.
The next day I was awoken by the saws and hammers at 5am. Seriously?!?!
We ate breakfast in the restaurant, I mean tables thrown into a room under construction. Our waitress would go behind a curtain for long periods of time. The food lacked flavor and personality. It was eggs and hash browns thrown on a plate. Blah.

I have no idea why a hotel would be open during construction. We were never even offered any vouchers or free services for our inconvenience during our stay. Never again.

We booked a park & fly package with an overnight stay.  We had a good stay at the hotel, no problems to speak of and pretty much what you would expect for a Holiday Inn.  There was very little parking available, which makes sense since they offer park and fly packages.  We had a great experience with the transportation to and from the airport and no trouble with our car being parked there for 7 days.  I would definitely stay here again for the same reasons...close to the airport, clean hotel, good nights sleep!
