This Hotel was absolutely egregious. Everything was dirty and neglected and the staff  were nothing short of suspicious. I stayed in this Hotel because all of the other hotels  that I tried to book accepted animals. So I was desperate, and well you know how that goes.... you get what you can. The Roadway Inn should be condemned, It is by far the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in. Hotel impossible needs to go to this hotel and shut it down. The breakfast bar was terrible it looked like it was full of pestilence and disease I will never stay @ this Hotel again.Oh and I can't forget the rooms..... OH THE ROOMS; they were nasty, filthy and just uncomfortable. It was always cold and the heat didn't work properly . The refrigerator was unsanitary and it was also out dated. Oh and don' t get me started on the floors, they were just absolutely, positively, undeniably rank, in short it was like the Grinch vomited and out came this hotel, arsenic sauce and all !!!!!!!! If you want to have an unpleasant time stay @ this hotel.

If you want to hear... "The rates are going up tonight my friend" every night, than this is the place for you.  Although rooms are spacious, they are not worth the price.  TERRIBLE continental breakfast, oatmeal packets and stale bread.  No hot tub was a let down.

Summary: I showed up and left immediately.
Run down, suspicious staff, dirty, non-lockable windows.

Strike 1: About 4 seconds after pulling into my parking spot there was a startling tapping on my car window. Instead of a panhandling bum like I expected, it was the guy who worked the front desk asking if we were checking in or already checked in. Uh, why were you waiting in the parking lot man?

Strike 2: I called 30 min prior to getting there and then upon arriving, they "didn't have my name in the system" but somehow telepathically knew I needed 2 double beds. Weird. Not sure what that was about. Then they said there were only king beds. Then suddenly they had a room with 2. I'd seen other reviews about additional charges and weird fees that they snuck into people's bills so all of this was suspicious. I'm also not sure who else would have answered the phone besides Mr. Sketchy at the front desk who claimed no recollection of our call.

Strike 3: He told me to go see the room first because they were "renovating" despite the peculiar absence of equipment or construction.

Strike 4: I went to go check out the room and not only was it dirty (walls, ceiling, bathtub, sink), but the window would slide but not close and lock so basically anyone from downtown Milwaukee who felt like crawling into bed with me (or much, much worse) was fully able to since it was a 1st floor room.

See ya bro. Not interested. The homeless shelter looks safer than this crap-holio.

I stayed here on 5/16/15 because my entire family was staying at the hotel next door, and being full, I was unable to get a reservation there.

I have stayed at hotels all over the world, including some very sketchy hotels in relatively un-developed countries, and I have to say that this was one of the most disgusting that I have seen.  The upper floors reek of urine, body odor, and who knows what else.  The carpets are stained, the walls are stained, the rooms have the soaked in smell of cigarette smoke.  What is shocking to me is that the Milwaukee health department allows this hotel to stay open.

When I reported these problems to the front desk the person working behind the counter acted shocked and showed me the can of air freshener that they use and told me that it couldn't smell bad!

I could go on and on, but please do yourself a favor, and find somewhere else to stay.  And especially don't take your children to this hotel, I was fortunate that my kids weren't with me, and if they were we would not have stayed there.  I know these are supposed to be budget hotels, but you literally could not pay me to stay here again.
