Where to begin? My girlfriend and I just spent our anniversary in the Dells, and this motel nearly ruined the trip. I have stayed at some pretty awful hotels and motels in my time but the Flamingo takes the cake. DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL. When we arrived at 2:00 we were told about the 3:30 check in. I asked if there was any way that they could have the room ready earlier, and the girl at the counter said no. Meanwhile a group of young guys were being taken care of by another girl, and when they asked to check in early she said that she could have the room ready in 20 minutes. When we finally got into our room things seemed decent enough. We had a corner unit that seemed secluded enough and Noah's Ark was right next door. The first thing I noticed in the bathroom was the gigantic stain that took up most of the floor. It was a brownish yellow color and was completely disgusting. The walls at this motel are paper thin. It sounded like thunder every time our neighbors opened their door, and we could here entire conversations and their kids all night. While getting ready to go out for the night, the power went out in our room. When I called the front desk they informed us that if we used our own hair dryer the power would go out, and we had to get one of theirs from the front desk. It took over 20 minutes for it to come back on, and we were late to dinner as a result. I found 2 spiders and a few black bugs the first night. The black bugs were about the size of the tip of a pinky. At this point we were discouraged, but understanding. It is a motel in Wisconsin, right around a bunch of forests and a river and a lake. I can live with a couple bugs. That night I called the front desk and requested that we get no maid service for our stay. The next morning there was a loud banging at the door. I went out there and there was one of the hotels many non-english speaking employees. It took 5 minutes to get him to leave. Later that morning while using the hair dryer provided by the hotel, our power went out again. Later that night I found 6 black bugs in the bathroom in the span of 5 minutes. Within the hour I found 5 more, on the baseboard, the ceiling, the wall, and most horribly on the nightstand. I barely slept a wink that night, constantly fearful of bugs in the bed. When I told the manager, an older blond lady with glasses about the power and the bugs, she brushed me off and did not seem to care at all. DO NOT STAY AT THE FLAMINGO, IT IS AN INFESTED DUMP THAT SHOULD BE CONDEMNED.

The price is way too high for the room. Don't expect anything in the room. The TV is from the 60's. We were running late the night only to find out the front desk closed at 11pm. No room service.

The lady who waited on us at the desk was very friendly. The room we stayed in was spacious enough. The problem is this motel needs a MAJOR overhaul. The bedding did not ft properly so the stained mattresses are visible, which grosses one out. The sink had a constant drip. The screen to the "patio" was shredded an in need of repair. A member of our party had an issue with bed bugs. We all ended up pulling off the headboards to see if there was an infestation. None of us slept well. When management was called about the bed bug issue, a very nice man came an apologized. He was foreign and when the issue of bed bugs was mentioned, he didn't really understand what we were talking about. He took the critter with him...Management tried to say later that it was NOT a bed bug. To add insult to injury the manager hung up on my sister when she called to discuss this. She even had the gall to have a local police officer call her back and tell her to stop "harrassing" this motel manager. Folks...that's your customer services. There are too many other places in the Dells to stay...Avoid this place!!

THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!!!
When I first made my reservation...they NEVER told us that check in was at 3:30PM!! We had driven from Chicago and got to the dells at about 11am. I have a toddler, so you could imagine how frustrating it was not to be able to go into our room and relax after a 3 hr drive.
Mind you....that I wasnt informed that we couldnt go to our room because it wasnt ready until AFTER i had paid IN FULL for the 3 night stay!!! BS!!!!
We came back at 3:30 and we were informed that we were gonna have to come back later because our room was still not ready.
I refused and told the manager that she better have the cleaning people clean our room ASAP because I had already paid for this in full and I have my rights to be in their NOW!!!
20 minutes later....we finally got our keys.
BUT IT DOESNT STOP THEIR!
The next day.....I found a BUG in my bed!!!!! It was the size of a large ant....so I know they werent bed bugs....but ITS STILL UNSANITARY!
This place lacks CLEANLINESS, CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CONSIDERATION!!!
DO NOT STAY AT THIS RAT HOLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For your own health.....

Booked the room off of the website due to it's proximity to Noah's Ark & free waterpark passes. Not worth the free passes! Staff was crabby and not very helpful. Room was not very clean and outdated. Curtains coming off the curtain rod and blankets had big hairs on them. We checked out early and went to Chula Vista for the same price.

This will be, comparatively speaking, a positive review. First of all, people who say this place is expensive for what you get are forgetting that A) you get two free Noah's Ark tickets for each room for each night you stay there and B) if you show up in the summer you will get summer rates. $125 for a room with two double beds seems pricey until you consider the two free tickets that end up being a $70 value. That $125 room is now $55 which isn't so bad. Also, it's very nice to be able to just walk behind the hotel to get to the water park without having to drive down the strip.
The room itself could definitely have used a refurbishing. Fortunately, we had a newer flat screen TV (although small). We had a second room in our party and that room had an older TV that did not get as many channels as ours did. I thought the bathroom fixtures were old, but the tub was clean. There was some mildew on the tiling and on the shower head but it didn't bother me that much. There is a fridge included in the room which is a big plus.
It was mostly a very basic motel room for people on a budget. I didn't hate it as much as other people did and I did not experience a bed bug problem.

We had a four day stay here. The place is not the ritz. It is a basic hotel. Considering that we spent only an hour or two in the rooms before sleep it was more than adequate. The AC worked great, the fridge kept the drinks cold. They were remodeling one set of rooms when we were there and with the two Noah's Ark tickets for each nights stay, this is a good value. I will come back.

we rented a family suite. it accomodated everyone perfectly...rooms wer clean, there are 3 outdoor pools and one indoor. This is a motel. I know what to expect from a MOTEL. The people at front desk were polite and professional, when I came back to my room after a long day at the water park there were frsh toels in the bathroom and our beds were made. If you are looking for ritz hotel quality with motel prices you will not find it here. Its a nice neet motel.. alil outdated but you get what you pay for. I have NO complaints about my room or the service. My only issue is that the walls are paper thin. So while I was in bed trying to knock out and get some rest for the next day, I could hear the people outside laughing and talking loudly almost as if they were inside my room....WIll I come here again?? sure...nextime I'll just bring earplugs. =)

We stayed mid july. Ws request a ground floor room. Upon xheck in they gave us a 2nd story room. We told them i was in a wheelchair due to a beoken leg and couldn't do a 2nd floor. They didnt have any rooms left except a mini suit left on the first floor. They did upgrade us to that for no charge. We were in room 518. Gross stain on one of the beds, either vomit, poop or coffee. The bed sheets didn't fit the mattress' the blankets were old and pilly. Carpet and flooring seemed newer. Bathroom was clean. The walls are very thin. Our neighbors were bbq under the easement until 11pm and very loud. Very sketchy people there. A few gangster looking guys were smoking pot right by the pool and I the bitty playground. The help at the registration desk told us they have wifi and gave us the password. But no wifi available. They give u a $2 coupon for the food stand at noahs ark if u don't get room service but u must bring the card to the desk the day that u don't want room service or else they won't give u the coupon. The room phone didn't work. We could hear everything going on I. The room above us and next to us. The plumbing every time they flushed the toilet sound like a waterfall in our room. Horrible motel. Will never stay here again.

I was super excited when I found this hotel because I thought it was such a great deal. They quoted us with $135 with each night getting free passes to Noah's Ark. It didn't include breakfast, but we thought we could bring some food from home to save some money.
When we got there, we didn't realize our hotel was 2 blocks down (they had bought the old Mayflower Hotel) from the front desk. We were quite confused when we were trying to find our hotel room since it was so far away from the front desk. Upon finding it, we were disappointed to not have a microwave or a hair dryer. The only way to get a microwave is to get a "suite." The ice machine worked, but it had to be over 30 years old. In the room, we had a refrigerator in our room, but it was hard to make anything like oatmeal with no hot water. However, we made hot water with the coffee pot to get hot water. The sign on the back of the door still said Mayflower, so I wasn't quite sure what time checkout was. I was hoping they would have updated this paper upon taking over this hotel. I know most hotels do not change the top bedspread, but we found several "black hairs below it." It was pretty gross.
Anyways, on our first night there, we found a card on the bed that offered us $2 per guest (at a Noah's Ark cafe) for not having your room cleaned in an effort to "be green." Figuring we weren't going to need more towels and could make our own beds, we thought we'd save some money for my cousin's kids for snacks at the water park. On Saturday, we headed to a different water park, but this was the day we chose not to have it cleaned, so we could get the voucher for tomorrow (Sunday- the day we were leaving). Upon checking out on Sunday morning, I wanted to redeem it. I was told I should have brought it in the day we weren't asking to have our room cleaned. I said there was nothing on the card that mentioned that, and I was confused why we would redeem it yesterday when we weren't headed to Noah's Ark that day (which is where it was good for). Anyways, I asked to talk to a supervisor after talking to two different people at the front desk. The manager said she would not honor it upon checkout. I asked her if she could possibly check through their records to see that we truly had not had our room cleaned. She was very firm that she would not honor it. I told her I was from Las Vegas where they were very big on hospitality. I asked since we had just spent $300 if they could realize it was unclear on the card and still honor it. They still wouldn't, but she offered to write it down for future reference. We were pretty disappointed that we purposely chose not to have our room cleaned to get this coupon, and they were willing to lose us as future customers.
I must say, I've stayed at a few places in the Dells, and this place was pretty disappointing.

This is the worse place on earth . My uncle made reservation there and it was a nightmare . I was trying to cancel but they wouldn't . No wifi , bathroom doors don't lock , phones don't work , needed pliers to turn on shower . Jacuzzi wasn't working . I called the manager and she was just ignorant so I asked to speak to her manager and he wasn't better . Never again even if they have it to me for free

This place is horrible. We were told that our check in time was 3:30 pm. However, we arrived and were told that are room was not ready and they were not sure when it would be ready. Rude management...especially the manager. By the time we finally made it to our room, it had been left unlocked with the sliding door window open and all of the windows left open.

Do not stay here. Ever. It's the most horrid place I have ever been to. The web page looks like the ritz compared to what you actually find. We booked in for 2 nights, as we thought free tickets to Noah's arc would be great. We left immediately without even unloading our cases and booked into a hotel nearby. Bugs on the dirty carpet floors, stained mattresses, Mosquitos in the rooms. GROSS!

This place is horrible! The only good things about our stay here were the free Noah's ark tickets and the proximity to the park. Do not expect to have a plesant stay. When we checked in and went to check our room (already anxious because of all the bad reviews) we weren't expecting much. The room (2 queens & a king bed) was a good size but we found the bed sheets & pillows dirty, the room doesn't smell fresh, the walls are paper thin, & the pools are no big deal. The only type of housekeeping we got was when we asked on the first day to change our bed sheets.
The following day we left the room at 10, we put the cleaning sign outside our door and asked for more towels. We were told at the front office that they would deliver towels & go clean the room right away. After two hours we came back to the room to find that no one had came and went to ask again & received the same answer. Around 7 we came back to find that we had no towels n that our room hadn't been clean. At this point we went to the office & spoke to a young lady who clearly had no clue what to do. We were told housekeeping crew was gone for the day and after arguing they finally gave us more towels. Our room remained dirty for the remaining of our stay.
Our main issue was the staff and how ride they were. We weren't told that the wristbands for the park were good for the 2 days we stayed n that we weren't supposed to remove them. So the next morning when we went to ask for another set of wristband the lady at the desk (Laura) was extremely rude. We explained to her that we didn't know not to remove then and her response was " well you know sometimes people don't listen". Believe me we were listening.
On the check out date we spoke to the manager and gave us back 50% from our first night. But even that won't make us come back.

The worst hotel i have stayed at. It smelled like my two year olds diaper. I was glad I had a bottle of Febreze in the car. The air conditioner made a horrible noise, but did work. The TV was older than my wife and only got one channel. I don't mind dated hotels, but I would rather stay in a tent next time. It just wasn't worth the two extra tickets to Noah's ark.

1 star is one too many for this crap hole of a place!!
I showed up on a Friday afternoon to meet up with my friends that were already checked in from Thursdays arrival. My plan was to stay until Sunday with them. After seeing the place and being forced to stay overnight, I left as quickly as I could on Saturday morning.
Never in my life have I see/stayed at such a filthy establishment!! I was grossed out from the time I pulled in with my car and now after reading others reviews, I am getting grossed out AGAIN! (Also praying that I DO NOT have bed bugs!)
staying here to get free passes to Noah's Ark just simply isn't worth it....especially when I spotted billboards of probably 6 or 7 other HOTELS that were giving away FREE Noah's Ark tickets if you stayed at their hotel! Come on people, get smart and boycot this filthy place!!!!!
When we came back from dinner Friday night (at crabby's, food well below par, will never go back) there was a group of Mexicans smoking pot across the way from us. A real nice thing to see when your group has 8 children, ranging from ages 6-14!! We also heard what we thought was a gunshot and sirens followed not too long after that. Late that evening 2 of the older kids witnessed a man with a knife outside a motel room and the cops were there handling that. We also spotted a man carrying/removing a mattress from a room and walking away with it. What the heck?!?
The TV channel selections were awful, and there want any wifi to connect to. Our room was NOT cleaned on Friday while we were gone and when I went to bed, I found sunflower seeds, staples and wrappers at the side of my bed. None of us has any of those things in the room!!!!! I picked the cleanest looking pillow of the 3 tiny ones on the long size bed and as soon as I crawled on top of the sheets, (the comforter was on the floor, it should've been in the garbage) I could smell an odor of absolute filth!!!!!!!! The sheets did NOT fit the bed and they were torn as well as dirty from the previous occupant I'm sure. My car was looking mighty fine for bedtime if I wasn't worried about all the other sketchy characters out there.
I was tempted to sleep in my car overnight once I saw how filthy the rooms were, but I did not feel safe after seeing the previously mentioned sketchy things happen earlier.
The bathroom was a joke, no drain plug in the sink and the shower curtain was only a fraction of the length of the shower!!! It was 3 feet wide at the most. WHY?!?!
As I'm typing this I am scratching and thinking I'm feeling bugs crawling on me, god I hope not!! This place needs a visit from someone and NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN!!!!!!

My best friend and I decided a few weeks prior to our stay to have a weekend getaway during the summer. We planned out that we wanted to stay at the Dells, and while I was looking at the hotels that are bigger and have waterparks attached, my best friend insisted on this place. Because she had stayed there when she was a kid and loved it and the fact that Noah's Ark tickets were free.
I mean yeah, that sort of sold me, but it really is not worth it.
We made our drive up from Chicago on a Friday late afternoon, and when we arrived and went in for check in, I immediately did not like what the place looked like.
We got to our room, and I immediately got a whiff of who knows what. I mean yeah, the room itself was clean-ish, but the sliding balcony door- did not lock, instead was kept closed by a sawed off broom stick. I mean really?
We stayed for a weekend, and I was not satisfied. There were bugs on the walls, and the beds were not comfortable at all. Not to mention the people that were staying in rooms next the ours were not exactly city people looking for a weekend to get away. They looked like they had been staying there for months.
Needless to say, the moment we packed up our stuff and drove away after leaving the key- was the best day for us both, especially after not getting much sleep due to the neighbors-- uhm-- you can imagine. Those walls seem paper thin.
Next time I come to the Dells, assuming I decide to go there ever again- I will not even think twice about staying at a small motel. I would rather pay the extra money and stay in a busier and clearly much cleaner place where there are more people around.
If I could have gotten my money back for that stay- I would have without hesitation. But unfortunately, there went my $175 for a two night stay.

The ads for it make it seem so much more than it really is. My uncle in law asked for rooms with adjacent rooms that connect, we didn't get that.
The hotel rooms on the outside look like hell. It looks as cheap as a motel 6, but the insides weren't too bad. It looks presentable but mattresses weren't aligned with the baseboard, the fleece blanket has a ton of lint and some hairs, and the bunk bed that came with the room looks unprofessional. It was undone and the comforter was badly folded. The pillow and sheets for it are badly folded in a clear plastic bad.
The bathroom wasn't too bad, aside from the toilet paper rolls already having been opened, and half used if not less. And the window sill is covered in webbed up dead bugs. The shower even has little red stains on the tiles and a little on the bathroom floor.
I think the best thing about the room was that it had a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker and a flat screen. Also we got the two corner rooms, so we were able to isolate ourselves and grill, carry a picnic bench over and make ourselves a little barbecue. Our spot was also convenient to Noah's Ark and the convenience store and Go Karts.
